Mobile target tracking is a necessary function of some emerging application domains, such as virtual reality, smart home and intelligent healthcare. However, existing portable devices for target tracking are resource intensive and high-cost. Camera tracking is an effective location tracking way for those emerging applications which can reuse the existing ubiquitous video monitoring system. This paper proposes a dynamic community-based camera collaboration(D3C) framework for target location and tracking. The contributions of D3C mainly include that(1) nonlinear perspective projection model is selected as the camera sensing model and sequential Monte Carlo is employed to predict the target location;(2) a dynamic collaboration scheme is proposed, it is based on the local community-detection theory deriving from social network analysis. The performance of proposed approach is validated by both synthetic datasets and real-world application. The experiment results show that D3C meets the versatility, real-time and fault tolerance requirements of target tracking applications. 展开更多

Omnidirectional imaging sensors have been used in more and more applications when a very large field of view is required.In this paper,we investigate the unwrapping,epipolar geometry and stereo rectification issues for omnidirectional vision when the particular mirror model and the camera parameters are unknown in priori.First,the omnidirectional camera is calibrated under the Taylor model,and the parameters related to this model are obtained.In order to make the classical computer vision algorithms of conventional perspective cameras applicable,the ring omnidirectional image is unwrapped into two kinds of panoramas:cylinder and cuboid.Then the epipolar geometry of arbitrary camera configuration is analyzed and the essential matrix is deduced with its properties being indicated for ring images.After that,a simple stereo rectification method based on the essential matrix and the conformal mapping is proposed.Simulations and real data experimental results illustrate that our methods are effective for the omnidirectional camera under the constraint of a single view point. 展开更多

The underwater heat exhausting source can cause the thermal difference of the surrounding and surface water.In this paper,the thermal character caused by the underwater heat exhausting source is studied by numerical simulation and experiment.The results show that the thermal floating distance is related with the sailing velocity of the underwater target.The higher the velocity is,the longer the hot wake is,and the broader the hot scope is.The relative distance of the thermal floating spot is almost in a logarithmic law with the velocity.The experimental results are accordant with the numerical simulation,and the obvious hot wake can be observed by the moving underwater heat exhausting source testing with temperature sensors and infrared camera. 展开更多
