Wood-polymer composites (WPC) were prepared from wood fiber and four kinds of plastics such as PE, PS, ABS, and SAN. The effects of different modifiers on the mechanical properties of the composites were studied. The results showed modifiers could raise the bonding strength of wood fiber with polymer and improve the mechanical properties of the composites. Different modifiers had different effects on the properties of wood-polymer composites, and comparatively the modifier of isocyanate produced a better result. Wood-polymer composite takes not only the advantages of both wood fiber and polymer, but waterproof, dimensional stability and dynamic strength are also significantly improved. This research adopted four methods to toughen epoxy adhesives. They were liquid hydroxyl group terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) rubber modification, silicon rubber modification, polyacrylate multiplicity elastomer particulates emulsion modification and chemical grafting modification. After modification, the shearing strength and the rupture elongation were tested. The interface and the chemical reaction between the modifiers and the epoxy were analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and infrared optical spectrum. The results show that the elastomer particulates modification and the chemical grafting modification can reach the better toughening effects. 展开更多

The direct catalytic conversion of syngas to aromatics offers a promising route to manufacture fine chemicals by employing non-petroleum carbon resources,because aromatic constituents are the key platform for producing polymers.However,this remains a great challenge due to the low yield of aromatics and poor catalyst stability,which restrict further development.In recent years,extensive research has been reported on the design of effective catalysts and the optimization of operating conditions to obtain better catalytic performance.In this review,we focus on these related achievements and present a comprehensive overview of different kinds of catalysts,mainly including modified Fischer-Tropsch(FT)catalysts and composite catalysts,as well as their performance and reaction mechanisms.The thermodynamic analysis of the reactions involved in this innovative conversion process and the comparison of different methods are also described in detail in this updated review.Finally,the challenges and prospects for direct syngas conversion are discussed to provide general guidelines for the construction of a well-designed reaction route. 展开更多
