Our primary goal in this paper is (i) to solve the feedback-modified master equation, (ii) to demonstrate the ability of feedback control based on the solutions, and (iii) to pick out different steady states by choosing different driving strengths and feedback strengths to counteract the effects of both damping and the measurement back-action on the system. We further investigate some properties of the equilibrium steady state, its distribution probability and entanglement vs. the driving and feedback amplitudes. We find that in our feedback model feedback plays a negative role in producing entanglement.展开更多
In this paper,we theorize about the impacts of human resource management(HRM) practices on enterprises' performance in Abidjan(Cote d'Ivoire).Specifically,we emphasize the correlation between HRM practices and t...In this paper,we theorize about the impacts of human resource management(HRM) practices on enterprises' performance in Abidjan(Cote d'Ivoire).Specifically,we emphasize the correlation between HRM practices and the perceived enterprise performance.A factor analysis of different HRM practices was utilized.The exploratory factor analysis on the HRM practices for managerial employees revealed three HRM dimensions:employee development,feedback systems,and pay/organization.A separate factor analysis for HRM practices for non-managerial employees led to the same conclusions.These three factors resemble those obtained in previous empirical study and discussed in the theoretical HRM literature.Therefore,the relationship among these three HRM dimensions and their relationship with enterprise performance was examined in the present study to facilitate comparison between managerial and non-managerial employees in the Ivorian context.展开更多

In some field-oriented algorithms, the integrator of observers and the dead-time effect bring in system errors during the estimation of field position. In this paper, a saturated feedback integrator is used, and the dead-time effect is compen- sated by current positive feedback. Experiments were carried out on the hardware platform of MCK2407, with chip TMS320LF2407 from TI Company. The results show that the prooosed method is simole and effective, and the accuracy of field position is improved.展开更多

More specifically, the researcher sought to probe the strategies most suitable to these...The overarching aim of this study is to find out the effects of peer feedback on Turkish EFL learners at pre-intermediate level. More specifically, the researcher sought to probe the strategies most suitable to these students by motivating them to scrutinize each other’s writings and develop their own perceptions of the advantages of becoming more critical of their writing. By addressing these aims and objectives, the researcher hoped to discover the advantages and effects of peer feedback in improving the writing skills of these students. A mixture of both quantitative and qualitative methods was considered appropriate to meet the needs of research. A questionnaire on attitudes and writing tests were used to collect primary data for the study in order to gain information about the needs of the students and the suitable strategies required for peer reading, examining, and giving feedback. Semi-structured interviews were also conducted to examine the students’ perceptions of peer feedback. Results of this study revealed that the peer feedback process helped learners in improving their writing performance as a result of which the students had a positive attitude towards using peer feedback in EFL classrooms. Based on the findings, implications for foreign language (FL) writing classes and suggestions for future studies are presented.展开更多

The power supply uses the IGBT power amplifying method to generate the pulse current and makes it follow the setting waveform by the power supply's feedback control system.The tracking error is one of the important specifications of the power supply.To satisfy the tracking error less than 2%,the frequency of the IGBT topology requested is more than 400kHz.The IGBT topology is connected by the IGBT H bridges in series and parallel,and works in the phase shifted method to divide the current,the voltage and improve the equivalent frequency.High power,high frequency,fast speed response and optimal feedback control strategy are the key to the good performance of painting bumper magnets pulsed power supply.展开更多

Current plant diversity can influence exotic plant invasion,but it is unclear whether there is a legacy effect of plant diversity on exotic plant invasion.As plant diversity can affect soil microbial communities and p...Current plant diversity can influence exotic plant invasion,but it is unclear whether there is a legacy effect of plant diversity on exotic plant invasion.As plant diversity can affect soil microbial communities and physio-chemical properties,which may cascade to impact subsequent exotic plant growth,we hypothesize that the soil legacy effect of plant diversity can influence exotic plant invasion.We conducted a plant–soil feedback experiment.In the conditioning phase,we trained soils by monocultures of 12 plant species from three functional groups(4 grasses,3 legumes and 5 forbs)and mixtures of 8 randomly selected species with all three functional groups from this 12-species pool.In the test phase,we grew the invasive plant Bidens pilosa with a co-occurring native grass(Arthraxon hispidus),with a co-occurring native forb(Pterocypsela indica)or with both in each type of the conditioned soils.The performance of B.pilosa relative to its native competitors varied depending on the functional type of both conditioning plant species in the conditioning phase and competing plant species in the test phase.Diversity of the conditioning plants did not influence the growth difference between B.pilosa and its native competitors.However,increasing diversity of the competing plant species reduced the performance of B.pilosa relative to its native competitors.Our results suggest that current plant diversity can reduce exotic plant invasion through increasing growth inequality between invasive and native plants,but the soil legacy effect of plant diversity may have little impact on exotic plant invasion.展开更多
Purpose: There are some studies which showed neurofeedback therapy (NET) can be effective in clients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) history. However, randomized controlled clinical trials are still needed for ...Purpose: There are some studies which showed neurofeedback therapy (NET) can be effective in clients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) history. However, randomized controlled clinical trials are still needed for evaluation of this treatment as a standard option. This preliminary study was aimed to evaluate the effect of NET on continuous attention (CA) and short-term memory (STM) of clients with moderate TBI using a randomized controlled clinical trial (RCT). Methods: In this preliminary RCT, seventeen eligible patients with moderate TBl were randomly allo- cated in two intervention and control groups. All the patients were evaluated for CA and STM using the visual continuous attention test and Wechsler memory scale-4th edition (WMS-IV) test, respectively, both at the time of inclusion to the project and four weeks later. The intervention group participated in 20 sessions of NFT through the first four weeks. Conversely, the control group participated in the same NF sessions from the fifth week to eighth week of the project. Results: Eight subjects in the intervention group and five subjects in the control group completed the study. The mean and standard deviation of participants' age were (26.75 ~ 15.16) years and (2Z60 +_ 8.17) years in experiment and control groups, respectively. All of the subjects were male. No significant improvement was observed in any variables of the visual continuous attention test and WMS-IV test between two groups (p _~ 0.05). Conclusion: Based on our literature review, it seems that our study is the only study performed on the effect of NET on TBl patients with control group. NET has no effect on CA and STM in patients with moderate TBI. More RCTs with large sample sizes, more sessions of treatment, longer time of follow-up and different orotocols are recommended.展开更多
