A different pressure thermally coupled reactive distillation column(DPT-RD) for the hydrolysis of methyl acetate(Me Ac) is developed, and its design and optimization procedures are investigated. The sensitivity analysis is carried out to minimize the energy consumption, which is associated with the total annual cost(TAC). The influence of the proposed DPTRD scheme on energy consumption and economic efficiency are evaluated in comparison with the conventional reactive distillation column(CRD). Both the DPT-RD and CRD are simulated with the Aspen Plus?, and it can be observed that for the DPT-RD the energy consumption and the TAC are reduced, and the thermodynamic efficiency is increased as compared with the CRD process. 展开更多

This article describes two kinds of model oil samples made of a benzothiophene/octane mixture and a 2-me- thylthiophene/octane mixture. Furthermore, this paper investigates the oxidative desulfurization selectivity and reaction efficiency when Ce4+ compound and H2O2 having identical electron equivalent weight were used as oxidants. The test re- sults showed that the two kinds of oxidants were more effective to remove benzothiophene in the model oil samples. For oxidative desulfurization of 2-methylthiophene, Ce4+ compound was obviously superior than H2O2. This paper by means of quantum chemistry analyses elaborates the complex formed between Ce4+ species and 2-methylthiophene and FT-IR spec- trograms of model oil samples before and after oxidation by Ce4+ compound and H2O2, respectively. The results demonstrat- ed that Ce4+ compound could remove sulfur compounds not only through oxidation reaction but also through complexation reaction. 展开更多

The Republic of Armenia, as a world superpower in chess, is engaged in continuous development and implementation of specific strategic programmes which are aimed not only at providing high achievements in chess, but also at: (1) modernizing the educational sphere in the Republic of Armenia; (2) increasing the quality indexes of chess education--as a basic resource in the context of global educational system; (3) considerably deepening education subjects' cognitive interests towards education through the possibilities provided by chess; (4) developing learners' educational-cognitive motivation; and (5) creating conditions for activating learners' mental potential and the abilities to expose them, as well as promoting the awareness of the social value of chess in interpersonal relations. The contextual factors of teaching and learning chess in primary schools of Republic of Armenia have been revealed and presented in this paper. Efficiency analysis of trilateral-cycle power systems for waste heat recovery-to-power generation

Numerous innovative heat recovery-to-power technologies have been resourcefully and technologically exploited to bridge the growing gap between energy needs and its sustainable and affordable supply.Among them,the proposed trilateral-cycle(TLC) power system exhibits high thermodynamic efficiency during heat recovery-to-power from low-to-medium temperature heat sources.The TLCs are proposed and analysed using n-pentane as working fluid for waste heat recovery-to-power generation from low-grade heat source to evaluate the thermodynamic efficiency of the cycles.Four different single stage TLC configurations with distinct working principles are modelled thermodynamically using engineering equation solver.Based on the thermodynamic framework,thermodynamic performance simulation and efficiency analysis of the cycles as well as the exergy efficiencies of the heating and condensing processes are carried out and compared in their efficiency.The results show that the simple TLC,recuperated TLC,reheat TLC and regenerative TLC operating at subcritical conditions with cycle high temperature of 473 K can attain thermal efficiencies of 21.97%,23.91%,22.07% and 22.9%,respectively.The recuperated TLC attains the highest thermodynamic efficiency at the cycle high temperature because of its lowest exergy destruction rates in the heat exchanger and condenser.The efficiency analysis carried out would assist in guiding thermodynamic process development and thermal integration of the proposed cycles. 展开更多

This paper presents an analytical geometry method for kinematics and efficiency of planetary gear trains (PGTs). The novel method which is capable of evolution and contrast analysis of mechanism kinematics, can be applied to any typical one-and two-degree-of-freedom plane PGTs containing any number of simple, compound or complex-compound planetary gear sets. The efficiency analysis of this method features a systematized and programmed process and its independence of the speed ratio. The primary contribution of this work lies in the integration of quantitative calculation, qualitative evolution and comparative analysis of kinematics of PGTs into one diagram, and in the integration of kinematics and efficiency analysis into a single method system. First, the analytical geometry method is defined, its basic properties are given, and the systematization procedure to perform kinematic analysis is demonstrated. As an application, analytical geometry diagrams of common PGTs are exhibited in the form of a list, whose kinematic characteristics and general evolution tendency are discussed. Then, with the mapping of PGTs onto the angular speed plane, the efficiency formula of analytical geometry, which has an extremely concise form, and a simple method for power flow estimation are put forward. Moreover, a general procedure is provided to analyze the efficiency and power flow. Finally, four numerical examples including a complicated eleven-link differential PGTs are given to illustrate the simpleness and intuitiveness of the analytical geometry method. 展开更多
