There have been great improvements in English teaching in China since the adoption of the New National English Curriculum, however, there are still some problems in western Sichuan province in China. Silent class is f...There have been great improvements in English teaching in China since the adoption of the New National English Curriculum, however, there are still some problems in western Sichuan province in China. Silent class is found through the author＇s observation of some English lessons in some senior schools. This paper analyzes the situation of classroom interaction in English teaching in southwestern China and explores the reasons of silent class based on the analysis of the statistics drawn from questionnaires. The reasons are illustrated from three perspectives： teacher-centered class, exercises-based teaching, and learners＇ instrument learning motivation. The author suggests some proposals to solve the problems, such as changes of teachers＇ roles, creation of stress-free learning environment, and use of task-based teaching, which aims to make teachers consider using interactive language teaching to cultivate learners＇ whole abilities and to improve the efficiency of teaching and learning.展开更多

The choice of the right index type in a schema can improve the DB performances by up to 80%. Unfortunately the illustrations of the various techniques are scattered over a number of texts and manuals, and the courses for database designers are often somewhat incomplete. The present paper shows a didactical experience which tackles this kind of limitations. In particular, the authors have prepared a textbook that includes twenty-one different index formats; it discusses advantages and disadvantages of each indexing technique, and has been positively validated during advanced courses on relational database design.展开更多

The system adopts Web network architecture design, mainly it is divided into MUC main control module, database module, data management module and man-machine interaction module, Network management and online scheduling of English teaching resources are obtained based on C/S framework, data exchange of English teaching resources is realized on client side and server side, the control component of the English teaching resource distribution database uses MBM29LV400BC as the logic decoding controller. The intelligent algorithm is used to analyze the big data to realize the scheduling and access control of the English teaching management system resources. The test results show that the design of the English teaching management system has good resource scheduling and database construction ability, and the overall intelligence of the system is better.展开更多
