Sharing, management and on- demand allocation of network resources are particularly important in Cloud computing. Ho- wever, nearly all-current available cloud com- puting platforms are either proprietary or their software infrastructure is invisible to the rese- arch community except for a few open-source platforms. For universities and research insti- tutes, more open and testable experimental plat- forms are needed in a lab-level with PCs. In this paper, a platform of infrastructure resou- rce sharing system (Platform as a Service (PaaS)) is developed in virtual Cloud comput- hug environment. Its architecture, core modules, main functions, design and operational envir- onment and applications are introduced in de- tail. By reviewing the literature of CALL in China and abroad, this article holds the view that in China where the educational resources are insufficient and unevenly distributed, the use of CALL should confirm and expand ESL/EFL theories to the utmost; the research of CALL should focus more on learning or learner, especially on learning strategy in CALL environment; to have a better understanding of the potential and functions of CALL in foreign language instruction, the research of CALL should cover all aspects of language learning.展开更多

A new progressive type of such an activity is organization of Student International Olympiads (SIO) on Mechanism and Machine Science (MMS) which can be considered a new advantageous form of MMS study. The explosive increase in data traffic requires networks to provide higher capacity and long-haul transmission capabilities.This paper introduces new results on high-order modulation and efficient Digital Signal Proce...The explosive increase in data traffic requires networks to provide higher capacity and long-haul transmission capabilities.This paper introduces new results on high-order modulation and efficient Digital Signal Processing algorithms to reduce various transmission limitations in coherent receiving systems.Polarization Division Multiplexed Quadrature Phase Shift Keying(PDM-QPSK)is deployed to reach high bit rates,provides modified digital clock recovery,and allows BER-Aided Constant Modulus Algorithm(BA-CMA)equalising.A Soft Decision-Forward Error Correction(SD-FEC)algorithm and a joint scheme with timing recovery and adaptive equaliser are used to achieve better performance.A compact coherent transceiver is also developed.These techniques have been applied in the largest 100 G Optical Transport Network(OTN)deployment in the world,the backbone expansion project for Phase 3 of the China Education and Research Network(CERNET),with a total transmission length of 10 000 km.展开更多

Methods: The study was conducted fromAugust 2010 to December 2011 and ca...Objective: To report a case ser/es of six neglected cervical spine dislocations without neurological deficit, which were managed operatively. Methods: The study was conducted fromAugust 2010 to December 2011 and cases were selected from the out- patient department of Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, India. The patients were in the age group of 30 to 50 years. All patients were operated via both anterior and posterior approaches. Results: During the immediate postoperative period, five (83.33%) patients had normal neurological status. One (16.67%) patient who had C5-C6 subluxation developed neu- rological deficit with sensory loss below C6 level and motor power of 2/5 in the lower limb and 3/5 in the upper limb below C6 level. Conclusion: There is no role of skull traction in ne- glected distractive flexion injuries to cervical spine delayed for more than 3 weeks. Posterior followed by anterior ap- proach saves much time. If both approaches are to be done in the same sitting, there is no need for instrumentation posteriorly. But if staged procedure is planed, posterior sta- bilization is recommended, as there is a risk of deterioration in neurological status.展开更多
