中国民办教育起源、盛衰与发展的历史叙事--《中国民办教育通史》(三卷本)发布报告

《中国民办教育通史》(三卷本)系统梳理、挖掘、深化中国古代、近代和当代民办教育的起源、盛衰历史成因和发展脉络,揭示中国古代、近代、当代民办教育的发展规律,进一步展现了2500多年中中国古代、近代和当代民办教育跌宕起伏的历史画卷。《中国民办教育通史》(三卷本)不仅构建了融历史文献、考古学成果、传统文化遗存为一体的中国民办教育史结构体系,而且对当代民办教育的规范健康发展也具有重要的参考价值。

一部学术性、可读性和实用性相结合的历史画卷--《中国民办教育通史》(三卷本)读后感

《中国民办教育通史》(三卷本)是第一部详细记载、论述我国民办教育史的专著。该书的编撰,体现了以史论证、论从史出,学术性、可读性和实用性相结合,体现了其史学价值、学术价值和文化价值,填补了中国教育史的一个空白。该书的出版,也将在世界范围内对中国民办教育产生积极影响,让世界了解中国的民办教育,也为增加国际教育交流带来新的视角。建议以此为契机,继续推动我国在民办教育领域更全面、深入的研究,规划出版各省市的“民办教育通史”,以促进民办教育健康稳定可持续发展。

农民工子女受教育难问题探析

农民工成为我国城市建设的主力军,但是他们的子女受教育的现状却令人堪忧,失学、辍学现象比较突出,本文就农民工子女的受教育现状进行了概括,对农民工子女受教育难的原因加以分析,最后,作者提出了一些对策与建议。

Nurse trainees' perception of effective clinical instructor characteristics

Objectives:Clinical education and experience in the clinical environment play an important role in shaping the clinical experience.Effective clinical teaching improves the clinical practice of the nursing trainees which in turn improves the quality of patient care.It mandates for the clinical instructor with desired qualities,to have a positive influence in clinical education.This study examined nurse trainees'perceptions of clinical instructor characteristics.Methods:The current study was conducted in a multi-cultural tertiary setting using a cross-sectional descriptive design.Using convenience sampling,302 trainees were chosen as participants for the study,and there were 296 respondents.The data were collected from the participants using the Nursing Clinical Teacher Effectiveness Inventory(NCTEI)tool.Results:The findings of the study revealed that the clinical instructors have scored high in personality(scoring percentage=84.0%)and relatively low in teaching ability(scoring percentage=81.3%).Also,the overall perception was almost the same among all the trainees though there was a slight variation in their rating of each dimension.Conclusions:Nursing trainees indicated the instructors as having good personality and relatively low teaching ability.This mandates the clinical instructors in the clinical environment to empower themselves in this area of improvement.This helps the teaching institutions to consider all the domains of effective clinical instructor characteristics while recruitment and also organize programs giving emphasis on building and developing these characteristics to create effective instructors.

浅谈第二轮志书教育篇记述──从三部第二轮志书教育篇(卷)谈起

精心设计篇目是写好志书教育篇(卷)的基础。《浦江县志(1986～2000)》、《嵊州市志(1986～2002)》、《天台县志(1989～2000)》三部志书篇目设计,继承中有创新,内容体现时代特征和地方特色。然而,对人的记述不够,重要内容记述的广度和深度不够,突出问题记述欠缺,图照需进一步丰富。写好第二轮志书教育篇(卷),必须记好教育改革,深入挖掘地方特色,拓展重要内容记述的广度和深度,加强对教师、学生的记述。

Ethical Awareness： Do We Need to Teach Accounting Ethics？ The Case of Bahrain

Based on the premise that ethics education leads to creation of the required （acceptable level of） ethical awareness, the general streamline of accounting ethics literature is strongly in favor of teaching adequate, efficient, and effective accounting ethics. This paper takes the position that this premise must be checked in an educational setting in which accounting ethics education lacks the characteristics of being adequate, efficient, and effective. Accordingly, a questionnaire with two parts was distributed to accounting students about to graduate from the University of Bahrain （UoB）. The first part is an exploratory investigation consisting of 21 variables/questions. The second part is an experimental investigation consisting of 13 hypothetical accounting cases representing various ethics violations. The general tendency by an accounting student based on the two parts indicates that he/she holds an acceptable level of ethical awareness, despite the fact that accounting education programs lack an adequate, efficient, and effective approach to teaching accounting ethics.

Study on Foreign Teachers＇ Teaching Validity of English Majors

With the deepening of global economic integration, the internationalization of education has become the trend of education development in the world. The paper intends to study on foreign teachers＇ teaching validity from English majors＇ students＇ perspective. The essay mainly adopts the classroom observation method to directly observe foreign teachers＇ classroom. In addition, the paper used the questionnaire and interview method for the English major students to get the first-hand feedback information to explore the existing problems of foreign teachers and then puts forward some suggestions.There are there parts in this paper. The first part is introduction of background and significance, and then it mainly analyzes performance of English majors from the present situation of the foreign teachers＇ class, and finally solves some common problems in classroom teaching.

ELT Professionals＇ Perceptions on Self-Image： A Comparison Between Gender

The study is conducted to examine the differences of gender perception among educators who are teaching in local higher learning institutions in Malaysia, in viewing their roles as the ＇~teacher＂. Several higher learning institutions were randomly targeted. Several researchers were involved in the data collection by means of using questionnaires in the survey over a period of several weeks. The questionnaires were used to fred out about their academic and professional backgrounds, requiring them to list their roles pertinent to their experiences in teaching, ranked them and provided the rationale behind the choices made. Twenty-five samples were collected to scrutinize the data by categorizing the information according to gender and teaching experiences and recording the frequencies of answers. From the study, it is found that regardless of gender and teaching experiences, most participants would consider themselves as ＂Provider of knowledge＂, followed by ＂N^r＂, especially those who are relatively new in teaching. There is also an indication that teacher＇s experiences and gender might affect their perception in mirroring themselves. A larger scale of study is needed in validating the findings of this study for it to be empirical, thus promoting in-depth investigations in viewing whether gender and cultural background may be vital factors that has profound effects towards their professionalism. It is hoped that future studies will shed some light to this rather controversial claims.

Analysis of College Students＇ life views and life education strategy

Through the method of questionnaire survey, this paper investigate the current status of life views from some college students in Guangdong Province, to get more acquainted with the problems existing in college students of life views, and analyze the reasons, in order to put forward specific, feasible and effective suggestions aimed at the current status of college students at school, and provide strategic thinking for the implementation of life education for college students. Through the implementation of life education strategy, cultivate college students to aware of understanding life, cherish life and love life, and then learn to respect life, care for life, accept life and other people.

Values and Educative Aspirations

Empirical research was done interviewing face to face a sample of 2,447, 10-12 grade students in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, from the main public university high school in town. Education is seen as a tool to develop better citizens first, and better workers later. The objective of this research was to detect different perceptions related to values and education. Using a 13 items questionnaire, we measured： Students＇ perceptions about him/herself as part of their education role, responsibility that students show toward activities m school, perceptions about education as a tool to grow in the social ladder and as a way of social recognition, social perception about effort as an important value to self-improve and get social recognition, and to finish, perceptions about their teacher＇s performance.

Evaluation of Education of Veterinarians in Animal Welfare Issues

Education of veterinarians in animal welfare issues is important to improve the welfare and health of animals. A questionnaire to 250 veterinarians related to their knowledge on animal welfare issues has been carried out at the Veterinary School of the University of the Republic, Uruguay, during March-April 2012. The questions were related to the courses on animal welfare veterinarians received, their main field of work, the importance given to the information offered and the quality of the topics addressed. From the total of veterinarians surveyed, 45% （112） answered the questionnaire. Of those who responded, 47% attended to three or more animal welfare courses, 18% assisted to two courses and 22% to one. The occupation of the 82% of respondents was with beef and dairy cattle （large animals） or in the meat industry equally. 10% works with small animals （especially pets） and poultry （production and industry）. The 95% of respondents considered that animal welfare is very important for their daily work with animals 65% reported that animal welfare concepts have high applicability in their job. 85% considered that animal welfare should be part of the veterinary curricula and 100% expressed their compliance to be present in other courses on the subject. These results emphasize the importance afforded by Uruguayan veterinarians to improve their knowledge on animal welfare and to continue including specific courses in the veterinary curricula.

Empirical Studies of Ecological Civilization Education in Vocational Colleges--Take Chongqing Vocational Institute of Engineering as the Example

Vocational college students are an important force in the country＇s future socialist construction, and their concept of ecological civilization will directly affect the future of socialist construction. This article conducted a questionnaire survey by among 960 vocational college students, and it found that the presence of ecological civilization vocational colleges of education-related departments at all levels of ecological education vocational college students are lack of rational cognition, and the attention is not enough. Therefore, educators should explore effective ways of ecological civilization education colleges, the competent authorities in the school attaches great importance to play the main channel of the effectiveness of teachers and classrooms, and strengthen ecological civilization education; improving vocational college students initiative and practicality, strengthen ecological and environmental legal education to enable students to form a sense of ecological civilization and habits, in order to receive a good education results.

Highlights in Museum Education

The aim of this paper is to research museum audience and its expectations, experiences, and influence on museum＇s practices at the Sinebrychoff Art Museum in Finland. The common idea is that museum pedagogy as a word creates easily an image of dusty, silent, and serious moment when the audience is forced to follow a lecture or a guided tour The author＇s research questions are： （I） Museum as an institution--what are the limits and possibilities to create highlights for audience work？ （2） How to look and talk about art for different audiences--also for non-visitors？ And （3） How can museum combine the knowledge of results and new technology to create more interesting approach for its audiences？ Participants of the author＇s research are teachers, students, senior citizens, and colleagues from other museums. Besides the literature the author uses mixed methods by combining visitor questionnaires （made during last ten years） and qualitative research made by narrative methods. Interviews have been made by H4 recorder. The qualitative analysis is going to be made by Atlas.ti. The results will finally be analyzed in 2014. Until now, it has become clear that museum experience mostly starts from the web pages. What can we offer, how to give value to our museum audience？

Coastal Community Welfare of Mining Areain Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan Province

Kotabaru is richregency in mining and plantations. The sector has contributed to the regional income in the regency. Coastal communities in the area can certainly get the impact which is marked by the increasing prosperity of society. This study used a survey by sampling using questionnaire. The number of samples in this study were 100 respondents who live in the Serakaman village and the Ujung village of Sebuku sub-district, Kotabaru. Companies in the Serakaman village and the Ujung village are Sebuku Iron Lateritic Ores （SILO）, Bahari Cakrawala Sebuku （BCS） and Metalindo Bumi Raya （MBR）. Analysis stages of welfare based on the level of welfare standards from National Population and Family Planning Board of Indonesia. The results showed the level of welfare in the Sarakaman village and the Ujung village is the welfare stage I and the welfare stage. Although at this welfare stage I and welfare families, the level of education, access to banks and income is still low. The company through its Corporate Social Responsibility （CSR） program is expected to improve the welfare of the community around the company area.
