Through the variation of the AgNO3 concentration, Ag content on the Cu2O template can be controllably tuned, which has great influence on the SERS effect. The results indicate that Ag nanopartieles form on the Cu2O nanoframes to obtain the Cu2O/Ag nanoeomposite, which can act as an excellent bifunetional platform for in situ monitoring of photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutions by SERS.展开更多

Two GaAs samples with the monolayer structure and the muhilayer structure are grown by molecular beam epitaxy. The former has a constant Be concentration of 1 × 10^19 cm^-3, while the latter includes four layers with Be doping concentrations of 1 × 10^19, 7 × 10^18, 4 × 10^18, and 1 × 10^18 cm^-3 from the bottom to the surface. Negative-electron-affinity GaAs photocathodes are fabricated by exciting the sample surfaces with alternating input of Cs and O in the high vacuum system. The spectral response results measured by the on-line spectral response measurement system show that the integrated photosensitivity of the photocathode with the muhilayer structure enhanced by at least 50% as compared to that of the monolayer structure. This attributes to the improvement in the crystal quality and the increase in the surface escape probability. Different stress situations are observed on GaAs samples with monolayer structure and muhilayer structure, respectively.展开更多

The key is to accurately extract the dispersion of Rayleigh wave. We propose a method to calculate the dispersion of the active-source Rayleigh wavefield by using the Aki formulation. The spectrum after the cross correlation of two-channel records in the frequency domain is expressed by the Bessel function. Using the corresponding relation between the zero point of the spectrum real part and the Bessel function root, the phase velocity at the discrete frequency point is obtained and the dispersion curve is extracted. First, the theoretical basis and calculation method used in the active-source Rayleigh wave data are introduced. Then, three sets of theoretical models are calculated by this method and the results are consistent with the theoretical dispersion. Finally, we process a group of real Rayleigh wave data and obtain the phase velocity profiles and compared them with the results obtained by the multichannel surface wave analysis method. The effectiveness and applicability of the Aki method in active-source data processing are verified. Compared with multichannel wave processing, the advantage of the Aki method lies in the use of two- channel data in a single-shot record. When the number of acquisition channels in a shot gathers is insufficient or there is a bad channel, the quality of the extracted dispersion is guaranteed.展开更多

Microstructural changes induced by the laser treatments were characterized by use of electron backscatter diffraction and electron channeling contrast imaging techniques. Results show that both annealing twins and strengthening precipitates profusely existing in the as-received specimen are dissolved at elevated temperatures during the laser irradiation. Meanwhile, in the melting zone(MZ), densities of low angle boundaries(LABs) are greatly increased with a large number of Laves phases preferentially distributed along such LABs. For different specimens, widths and depths of their MZs are found to be gradually reduced with decreasing the laser powers. Orientation analyses reveal that the columnar grains in the MZ of the 100 W specimen could inherit orientations existing in the matrix while lower laser powers promote the formation of more nuclei with scattered orientations to grow to be granular grains in the MZ. Hardness tests reveal that the MZs of all laser-treated specimens are softer than the matrix probably due to both precipitate dissolution and grain coarsening.展开更多

This work proposes a rapid and accessible process to fabricate SERS-active substrates with high uniformity and controllability based on two-step laser ablation. Laser beams directly ablate the surface of Si, concurrently creating microstructures and ejecting molten materials caused by the thermal effect that nucleate in ambient air. The nuclei grow into nanoparticles and deposit over the surface. These nanoparticles, together with microstructures, improve the light collection efficiency of the SERS-active substrates. Especially after Au thin film deposition, these nanoparticles can provide nanogaps as hotspots for SERS. By orthogonal experiment design, laser processing parameters for better performances are determined. Compared with substrates fabricated by single 1064 nm master oscillator power amplifier(MOPA) laser ablation, substrates ablated by the primary 1064 nm MOPA laser and secondary UV pulsed laser show more uniform nanoparticles’ deposition over the surface. The optimized largearea substrate has a SERS detection limit of 10^(-8)mol/L for 4-aminothiophenol(4-ATP), indicating the potential realworld applications for trace detection.展开更多

Opticalcoherence microscopy is more effective in the rejection of out of focus and multiple scatteredphotons originating further away of the focal plane. With the three-dimension scanning, the internaldefect is detected by measuring the thickness of different points on the sample. The axialresolution is 6 μm and lateral resolution is 1. 2 μm. This method is possessed of the advantagesover the other measurement method of scattering media, such as non-destruction and high-resolution.展开更多

Measurement is made of the variation of mean transverse emission energy with activating time during the course of activation.
