As the rapid development of aviation industry and newly emerging crowd-sourcing projects such as Flightradar24 and FlightAware,large amount of air traffic data,particularly four-dimension(4D)trajectory data,have becom...As the rapid development of aviation industry and newly emerging crowd-sourcing projects such as Flightradar24 and FlightAware,large amount of air traffic data,particularly four-dimension(4D)trajectory data,have become available for the public.In order to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of results,data cleansing is the first step in analyzing 4D trajectory data,including error identification and mitigation.Data cleansing techniques for the 4D trajectory data are investigated.Back propagation(BP)neural network algorithm is applied to repair errors.Newton interpolation method is used to obtain even-spaced trajectory samples over a uniform distribution of each flight’s 4D trajectory data.Furthermore,a new method is proposed to compress data while maintaining the intrinsic characteristics of the trajectories.Density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise(DBSCAN)is applied to identify remaining outliers of sample points.Experiments are performed on a data set of one-day 4D trajectory data over Europe.The results show that the proposed method can achieve more efficient and effective results than the existing approaches.The work contributes to the first step of data preprocessing and lays foundation for further downstream 4D trajectory analysis.展开更多

Large eddy simulation(LE...Using ANSYS-CFX, a general purpose fluid dynamics program, the vortex-induced vibration(VIV) of a variable cross-section cylinder is simulated under uniform current with high Reynolds numbers. Large eddy simulation(LES) is conducted for studying the fluid-structure interaction. The vortex shedding in the wake, the motion trajectories of a cylinder, the variation of drag and lift forces on the cylinder are analyzed. The results show that the vortices of variable cross-section cylinder are chaotic and are varying along the cylinder. In places where cross-sections are changing significantly, the vortices are more irregular. The motion trail of the cylinder is almost the same but irregular. The drag and lift coefficients of the cylinder are varying with the changes of diameters.展开更多
As one of the important components of computational flight mechanics and control,numerical algorithms of trajectory optimization for flight vehicles are currently studied by many researchers in aerospace engineering t...As one of the important components of computational flight mechanics and control,numerical algorithms of trajectory optimization for flight vehicles are currently studied by many researchers in aerospace engineering to completely solve these difficult problems,but few papers on the survey of this research field have been published recently.Based on the investigation of more than one hundred literatures,considering the application perspectives of computational flight mechanics and recent developments of trajectory optimization,the numerical algorithms of trajectory optimizations for aerospace vehicles are summarized and systematically analyzed.This paper summarized the basic principle,characteristics and application for all kinds of current trajectory optimization algorithms;and introduced some new methods and theories appearing in recent years.Finally,collaborative trajectory optimization for many flight vehicles,and hypersonic vehicle trajectory optimization were mainly reviewed in this paper.In the conclusion of this paper,the future research properties are presented regarding to numerical algorithms of trajectory optimization and control for flight vehicles as follows:collaboration and antagonization for many flight vehicles and multiple targets,global,real-time online,high accuracy of 7-D trajectory,considering all kinds of unknown random disturbances in trajectory optimization,and so on.展开更多
Numerical method was applied to the unsteady flow simulation at the mid span of a two-stage low speed compressor,and the blade boundary layer flow under rotor/stator interaction was investigated.By the model of wake/b...Numerical method was applied to the unsteady flow simulation at the mid span of a two-stage low speed compressor,and the blade boundary layer flow under rotor/stator interaction was investigated.By the model of wake/boundary layer interaction provided in this paper,the simulated blade frictional force and the boundary layer turbulent kinetic energy,the influence of wake/potential flow interaction on the blade boundary layer flow was analyzed in detail.The results show that under the condition of rotor/stator interaction,the wake is able to induce the stator laminar boundary layer flow to develop into turbulent flow within a certain range of wake interaction.In the stator suction boundary layer,an undisturbed region occurs behind the rotor wake,which extends the laminar flow range,and the wake with high turbulent intensity has the capability to control the boundary layer separation under adverse pressure gradient.展开更多
