Power systems are the largest and most complex human made systems, consisting of thousands of electrical sources, loads, transmission and distribution lines, power transformers, circuit breakers, etc. where faults always occurred. Faults can cause personnel and equipment safety problems, and can result in significant disruption to power supply and thus financial losses. In this paper we will present comprehensive mathematical suite to detect and classify fault dependent models of various types of power systems. This work will extract fault unique signatures by using polarization ellipse during the healthy condition and the polarization will be circular shape with radius equal the rated voltage of the system, but during the fault condition the polarization will be ellipse shape and the fault signature will be defined according the ellipse parameters major axis, minor axis, ellipticity and orientation angle, by using least squares criterion will define the ellipse parameters this system will identify and classify. This paper will be a milestone for extended paper based on the proposed mathematical modelling and applying it to identify, classify and localize with simulation model. 展开更多

The structural-acoustic coupling model for isotropic thin elastic plate was extended to honeycomb sandwich plate(HSP) by applying Green function method.Then an equivalent circuit model of the weakly-strongly coupled system was proposed.Based on that,the estimation formulae of the coupled eigenfrequency were derived.The accuracy of the theoretical predictions was checked against experimental data,with good agreement achieved.Finally,the effects of HSP design parameters on the system coupling degree,the acoustic cavity eigenfrequency,and sound pressure response were analyzed.The results show that mechanical and acoustical characteristics of HSP can be improved by increasing the thickness of face sheet and reducing the mass density of material. 展开更多

Based on Chua’s chaotic oscillation circuit, a fifth-order chaotic circuit with two memristors is designed and its corresponding dimensionless mathematic model is established. By using conventional dynamical analysis methods, stability analysis of the equilibrium set of the circuit is performed, the distribution of stable and unstable regions corresponding to the memristor initial states is achieved, and the complex dynamical behaviors of the circuit depending on the circuit parameters and the memristor initial states are investigated. The theoretical analysis and numerical simulation results demonstrate that the proposed chaotic circuit with two memristors has an equilibrium set located on the plane constituted by the inner state variables of two memristors. The stability of the equilibrium set depends on both the circuit parameters and the initial states of the two memristors. Rich nonlinear dynamical phenomena, such as state transitions, transient hyperchaos and so on, are expected. 展开更多

In this work, a new ... Internal short circuit(ISCr) is one of the major obstacles to the improvement of the battery safety. The ISCr may lead to the battery thermal runaway and is hard to be detected in the early stage. In this work, a new ISCr detection method based on the symmetrical loop circuit topology(SLCT) is introduced. The SLCT ensures that every battery has the same priority in the circuit and every battery will contribute the same amount of short-circuit current to the ISCr once the ISCr happens. The ISCr battery could be identified by the combination of the ratio of the short-circuit currents and the sign of the short-circuit currents. The recursive least square method is adopted for the real-time application and the optimized ammeters allocation is derived from the mathematic deduction. The battery pack based on the individual DP(dual polarization) battery model is established to verify the ISCr detection method. The 1–1000 Ω s ISCr(the early stage ISCr) can be effectively detected within 1–125 s. The SLCT provides the possibility of new battery pack designs and new battery management methods. The proposed ISCr detection method shows excellent effectiveness and efficiency on the identification of the ISCr battery in the early stage. 展开更多
