The network coverage is a big problem in ocean communication, and there is no low-cost solution in the short term. Based on the knowledge of Mobile Delay Tolerant Network(MDTN), the mobility of vessels can create the ...The network coverage is a big problem in ocean communication, and there is no low-cost solution in the short term. Based on the knowledge of Mobile Delay Tolerant Network(MDTN), the mobility of vessels can create the chances of end-to-end communication. The mobility pattern of vessel is one of the key metrics on ocean MDTN network. Because of the high cost, few experiments have focused on research of vessel mobility pattern for the moment. In this paper, we study the traces of more than 4000 fishing and freight vessels. Firstly, to solve the data noise and sparsity problem, we design two algorithms to filter the noise and complement the missing data based on the vessel's turning feature. Secondly, after studying the traces of vessels, we observe that the vessel's traces are confined by invisible boundary. Thirdly, through defining the distance between traces, we design MR-Similarity algorithm to find the mobility pattern of vessels. Finally, we realize our algorithm on cluster and evaluate the performance and accuracy. Our results can provide the guidelines on design of data routing protocols on ocean MDTN.展开更多

We demonstrate here that the usual testing of dueling hypothes...We start with a description of the statistical inferential framework and the duality between observed data and the true state of nature that underlies it. We demonstrate here that the usual testing of dueling hypotheses and the acceptance of one and the rejection of the other is a framework which can often be faulty when such inferences are applied to individual subjects. This follows from noting that the statistical inferential framework is predominantly based on conclusions drawn for aggregates and noting that what is true in the aggregate frequently does not hold for individuals, an ecological fallacy. Such a fallacy is usually seen as problematic when each data record represents aggregate statistics for counties or districts and not data for individuals. Here we demonstrate strong ecological fallacies even when using subject data. Inverted simulations, of trials rightly sized to detect meaningful differences, yielding a statistically significant p-value of 0.000001 (1 in a million) and associated with clinically meaningful differences between a hypothetical new therapy and a standard therapy, had a proportion of instances of subjects with standard therapy effect better than new therapy effects close to 30%. A ―winner take all‖ choice between two hypotheses may not be supported by statistically significant differences based on stochastic data. We also argue the incorrectness across many individuals of other summaries such as correlations, density estimates, standard deviations and predictions based on machine learning models. Despite artifacts we support the use of prospective clinical trials and careful unbiased model building as necessary first steps. In health care, high touch personalized care based on patient level data will remain relevant even as we adopt more high tech data-intensive personalized therapeutic strategies based on aggregates.展开更多

Using panel data from 1993 to 2007 of Chinese provinces...Do risingfactor prices promote technical efficiency (TE) in China's manufacturing sectors? This topic has not yet been thoroughly studied in any literature. Using panel data from 1993 to 2007 of Chinese provinces' manufacturing industries, this paper calculated the TE by data envelopment analysis (DEA). The result shows that China's manufacturing TE remained stagnate in the mid- and late-1990s and increased after 2000. Using a Pooled Regression Model, Fixed-effects Regression Model and Panel Corrected Standard Error (PCSE) to obtain robust parameters and the standard error, we find that rising factor prices have an obvious positive effect on the TE of the manufacturing industry and that this effect reaches its peak three to five years later. Therefore, the assumption of a "cost-Push TE" in China's manufacturing sectors can now be statistically proven. It has verified the significance of reforming China's faetor price system. Governments should value resource-allocating ej^iciency, implement policies that promote industrial transition and upgrading and transform the economic development pattern through technical innovation.展开更多
当前我国大部分医院财务管理系统的信息化进程较为落后,其原因是医院的财务管理系统效率低下、数据获取成本高、且处理不得当。针对传统医院财务管理决策系统存在的不足之处,结合当代最新的医院财务管理决策工作的发展趋势,并根据最新...当前我国大部分医院财务管理系统的信息化进程较为落后,其原因是医院的财务管理系统效率低下、数据获取成本高、且处理不得当。针对传统医院财务管理决策系统存在的不足之处,结合当代最新的医院财务管理决策工作的发展趋势,并根据最新的数据分析思路,设计了基于B/S架构的医疗机构财务管理系统。通过对数据抓取、去噪与融合,使用规范数据模型(NORM DATA MODel,NDM)对采集的数据做优化处理。并基于J2EE体系开发了系统服务器,选择高性能的文档性数据库Mongo DB作为数据存储的方式。所提出的基于智能数据分析的医院财务管理决策系统,是对传统财务管理决策系统的完善和补充,具有较强的现实意义与应用价值。展开更多

This paper discusses the necessity, possibility and solution technique of sharing a symbol library in different GIS platforms. The route map is designed as follows: first, to set up a general data model for the symbol library, then to design a standard exchange format, and finally to call on the GIS manufacturer to provide the interchange tools for their symbol library for the standard exchange format. This paper analyzes the general characteristics of GIS symbolic library, gives a symbol library model and a draft of XML schema of the symbol library exchange format.展开更多
