That means the increase of net income of farm households is chiefly from off-farm industries,more than from agriculture. The authors therefore conclude that the "poverty" in mountain areas or the gap between mountain areas and plain areas lies in the underdevelopment of off-farm industries in mountain areas. Finally,the authors make suggestions of strategic adjustment of economic structure: 1) present situation of mountain areas in China should be fully considered; 2) a full industrial system is not our desire; 3) advantageous industries should be promoted to create famous products; 4) industrialization and urbanization in mountain areas should be promoted and so on.展开更多

This process coincides with the late stage of China＇s industrialization, which international experience suggests is often frauht with twists and challenges. Among these challenges, great attention must be paid to overcapacity industrial restructuring and upgrades, and the ＂reindustrialization＂ of developed countries. As China enters the late stage of its industrialization, particularly during the 13th Five-Year Plan period from 2016 to 2020, the promotion of industrial development is of strategic significance for China to successfully complete industrialization and its economy to adapt to the ＂new normal ＂. In the face of these new challenges regarding industrial development, policymakers must strive to increase the dynamism of growth for industrial economy. In this new era, the momentum of industrial growth derives from the integration of the supply impetus of industrialization and the pull of demand caused by urbanization, while, the comprehensive deepening of refom provides the key source of momentum.展开更多

As indicated by a survey of 105 villages in 19 provinces and cities, the 2008 international financial crisis had a serious impact on migrant workers＇ employment, which is prominently manifested in their earlier retur...As indicated by a survey of 105 villages in 19 provinces and cities, the 2008 international financial crisis had a serious impact on migrant workers＇ employment, which is prominently manifested in their earlier return to their hometowns, the dismissal of 20 percent of migrant workers from their jobs and a considerable decline in their wages. Thanks to a series of policies the state adopted to ensure growth and expand consumption, migrant workers soon got re-employed. However, some deep-rooted problems surrounding the issue of migrant workers＇ empoyment came to light as a result of this crisis. These problems need to be solved on an urgent basis, though it will involve a considerable amount of hard work over an extended period of time. While this will require a combination of transitional measures and long-range strategies, the employment of migrant workers should also be incorporated as a fundamental part of the undertaking to ensure economic growth, adjusting the industrial structure, transforming the development mode and pushing forward with the reform.展开更多
Objective： By taking the holism and differentiation concepts of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） as the guidance, physical, mental and workplace factors were recruited in the observation of depression in employee...Objective： By taking the holism and differentiation concepts of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） as the guidance, physical, mental and workplace factors were recruited in the observation of depression in employees, and were systematically classified to establish a workplace-related Liver Meridian-depression scale, for providing an evaluation index for depression in employees. Methods： NVIVO 11 software was adopted to assort ancient TCM classics. Based on the holism and differentiation concepts of TCM and well-developed scales, the item pool was determined via brain storm and screened by Delphi method after classified; a Wechat questionnaire was handed out 240 times via the online system ＇Wen Juan Xing＂ and the results were statistically analyzed by the SPSS 17.0 version software. Results： Five dimensions consisting of 80 items were obtained after classification, and 60 items were selected by Delphi method; a total of 216 questionnaires were returned and the return rate was 90%. Of which, 215 questionnaires were valid ones, and the valid rate was 99%. By exploratory factor analysis （EFA）, 44 items were obtained, and the aggregate split-half reliability coefficient was 0.922. The Cronbach＇s alpha coefficient for the five dimensions, i.e. Liver Meridian, relevant meridians, basic psychological activities, work cognition and emotional reactions, was respectively 0.841, 0.842, 0.914, 0.836 and 0.839, indicating a content internal consistency. The score of each item was highly correlated with the corresponding dimension, and the intercommunity was between 0.474 and 0.801. Nine factors were generated, 2 in the dimension of Liver Meridian, 3 in the dimension of relevant meridians, 2 in the dimension of basic psychological activities, i in the dimension of work cognition, and 1 in the dimension of emotional reactions, and the load of each factor was between 0.438 and 0.859. The reliability and validity of the scale were well examined. Conclusion： The scale can be applied to evaluate the qi activities of Liver Meridian and depression symptoms related to workplace.展开更多
