Extrusion of AL6005A plate used for the bullet train plate was investigated by finite element method. The relevant porthole dies involving ECAP technique in channels were designed. Dimensional changes in the scrap part of the extrudate obtained after extrusion from the P-ECAP die, with different channel angles, were predicted. Effects of the channel angle and extrusion speed on the maximum temperature of the workpiece and other field variables were evaluated. At the channel angle of 160° of P-ECAP dies, the extrudate exhibited the optimal performance and the least amount of extrudate scrap was obtained. The optimal extrusion speed was 3-5 mm/s. Moreover, with the increase in ram speed from 1 to 9 mm/s, the peak extrusion load increased by about 49% and the maximum temperature was increased by about 70 ℃. The effective strain exhibited ascending trend in the comer of the ECAP deformation zone. In the solder seam and the side of die bearing of extrudate, the maximum principal stresses were tensile stress.展开更多

One of the major challenges involves building a complex microchannel network inside three-dimensional (3D) scaffolds for efficient mass transportation. Here we presented a biomimetic strategy to generate a mi- crochannel network within porous biomaterial scaffolds by mimicking the vascular tree of rat liver. The typical parameters of the blood vessels were incorporated into the biomimetic design of the microchannel network such as branching angle and diameter. Silk fibroin-gelatin scaffolds with biomimetic vascular tree were fabricated by combining micromolding, freeze drying and 3D rolling techniques. The relationship between the micro-channeled design and flow pattern was revealed by a flow experiment, which indicated that the scaffolds with biomimetic vascular tree exhibited unique capability in improving mass transportation inside the 3D scaffold. The 3D scaffolds, preseeded with primary hepatocytes, were dynamically cultured in a bioreactor system. The results confirmed that the pre-designed biomimetic microchannel network facilitated the generation and expansion of hepatocytes.展开更多

In order to grasp the dynamic cha- racteristics of engine fuel supply processes, this article studies the dynamic characteristics of hydrocarbon fuel within the channel. A one-dimensional dynamic model was proved, the thermal energy storage effect, fuel volume effect and chemical dynamic effect have been considered in the model, the ordinary differential equations were solved using a 4th order Rungc-Kutta method. The precision of the model was validated by three groups of expe- rimental data. The effects of input signal, working condition, tube size on the dynamic characteristics of pressure, flow rate, temperature have been simulated. It is found that cracking reaction increased the compressibility of the fuel pyrolysis mixture and lead to longer responding time of outlet flow. The responding time of outlet flow can reach 3s when tube is 5m long which will greatly influence the control performance of the engine thrust system. Meanwhile, when the inlet flow rate appears the step change, the inlet pressure leads to overshoot, the overshoot can reach as much as 100%, such highly transient impulse will result in detrimental effect on fucl pump.展开更多
