The results show that the tectonic evolution of the north depression of the south Yellow Sea basin since late Cretaceous can be divided into a rifting phase (late Cretaceous to Paleogene) and a post-rifting phase (Neogene to Quaternary). The rifting phase can be further subdivided into an initial rifting stage (late Cretaceous), an intensive rifting stage (Paleocene), a rifting termination stage (Eocene), and an inversion-uplifting stage (Oligocene). Together, this division shows the characteristics of an episodic-evolved intracontinental rift-depression basin. The deformation of the north depression of the south Yellow Sea basin since late Cretaceous was mainly fault-related. The horizontal extension and tectonic subsidence were controlled by the activity of faults. The differential evolution of faults also caused variations in local uplift/subsidence movements and the regional heterogeneity in extension. The late Cretaceous initial rifting of the north depression of the south Yellow Sea basin is related to the Pacific-Eurasia convergence. From the Paleocene intensive rifting stage to present, the Pacific-Eurasia convergence and India-Eurasia convergence have played important roles in the evolution of this region.展开更多

Here, we showed that cellular exposure to camptothecin (CPT) induced formation of topoisomerase I cleavable complex (TOPlcc), degradation of TOP1 and activation of DNA damage responses (DDR). Transcription and proteasome-dependent proteolysis, but not replication, were involved in CPTo indneed TOPl degradation, while none of above three processing activities affected TOPlcc formation. Replication- and transcription-initiated proeessing (RIP and TIP) of TOPlee were identified as two independent pathways, which contribute distinctly to various CPT-activated DDR. Specifically, in cycling cells, RIP-processed TOPlec triggered the CPT-induced RPA pbosphorylation. At higher CPT dosages, the TIP pathway is required for other DDR activation, including ATM, p53 and Chkl/2 phosphorylation. The TIP pathway was further demonstrated to be S-phase independent by using three nonreplicating cell models. Furthermore, the effect of proteasome inhibitors mimicked that of transcription inhibition on the CPT-induced activation of DDR, suggesting the involvement of proteasome in the TIP pathway. Interestingly, the TIP pathway was important for TOPlcc-activated, but not ionization radiationactivated ATM, p53 and Chk2 phosphorylation. We have also found that pharmacological interferences of TIP and RIP pathways distinctively modulated the CPT-induced cell killing with treatments at low and high dosages, respec- tively. Together, our results support that both RIP and TIP pathways of TOPlcc are required for the activation of CPT-induced DDR and cytotoxicity.展开更多

The results show that the predominant polarization direction of fast share-wave represents the direction of in-situ maximum principal compressive stress. The predominant polarizations of Qixingling( QXL) seismic station are in the NEE direction, which is different from the direction of principal compressive stress of the Hainan area, but same as the strikes of faults in the NE direction, which means that the local tectonics and stress fields are complicated. The predominant polarization of Qingshanling( QSL) seismic station is in the NNE-NS direction, which indicates the tectonic significance of the strikes of NNE-trending faults. At the same time, the study confirms that the predominant polarizations of the stations located on active faults or at the junctions of several active faults are parallel to the strikes of faults which control the earthquakes used in this analysis, and the predominant polarizations are scattered, which indicates the complicated background of fault structures and stress distribution.展开更多
