To overcome this problem, it needs feeding strategies based on local resources that can be provided by farmers. The purpose of this study was to determine body weight gain (BWG) of post weaning Bali cattle fed with legume. The study was conducted in experimental garden Lili, Kupang and designed with completely randomized design (CRD) 4 × 5; four kinds of legumes were used as treatment, such as: (1) Centrosema pascuorum; (2) Clitoria ternatea; (3) Desmodium sp.; (4) Leucaena leucocephala. Cattles used as the subject were separated into five groups based on body weight as the replication. The experimental data was tabulated and analyzed by covariance analysis (GenStat) and financial analysis (for analyzing revenue and real cost during the study). The result shows that legume feeding of Leucaena leucocephala at the second, fifth, eighth and ninth week have no significant effect (P 〈 0.05) to BWG, but shows significant effect (P 〈 0.05) to BWG at the fourth week. The feeding of Centrosema pascuorum, Clitoria ternatea, Desmodium sp. and Leucaena leucocephala to post weaning Bali cattle showed higher feed consumption and higher BWG, especially in Leucaena leucocephala treatment. Feeding legume to post weaning Bali cattle is also economically profitable (return/cost (R/C) ratio 〉 1).展开更多

Based on the results of shallow seismic exploration, we conducted composite drilling section exploration and dating of the samples from boreholes. Some useful data was obtained, such as the depth of the upper breaking point, the latest activity age, displacement in the late Quaternary, and slip rates, etc. This study shows that the activity is different between the north and south segment along the Luhuatai fault. The north segment is a Holocene fault, while the south segment is a late mid-Pleistocene fault. From north to south along the north segment of Luhuatai fault, the activity has been enhanced, and the faulting is stronger in late Pleistocene than Holocene.展开更多

By direct current(DC) magnetron process, Pd/Ag alloy ultra-thin films were deposited on the substrate to eliminate the hydrogen embrittlement of sensor based on pure Pd. Several samples with different thin film thicknesses were fabricated at different substrate temperatures and tested in the optical fiber hydrogen sensor setup. We do a series of experiments for obtaining optimum sputtering parameters, such as optimum sputtering temperature and thickness of Pd/Ag alloy film. The humidity effect and reliability experiment for the optical fiber hydrogen gas sensor are reported in detail. The testing results demonstrate the Pd/Ag alloy is a promising material for optical fiber hydrogen gas sensor.展开更多
