First, ...A new method for separating complex touching equiaxed and lamellar alpha phases in the optical micrograph of titanium alloy was proposed for quantitative characterization. This new method involves three steps. First, concave points of the microstructural feature are identified with a threshold of the concaveness of the comer points which are extracted from the binarized image. Secondly, concave points pairs are selected from the concave points group established by means of marker circle or distance. Third, whether a candidate separation line which connects two concave points within a pair can be accepted or not is determined by the proposed four rules. Several genome-partitioning strategies to sequence selected subsets o...The rapid expansion of next-generation sequencing (NGS) has generated a powerful array of approaches to address fundamental questions in biology. Several genome-partitioning strategies to sequence selected subsets of the genome have emerged in the fields of phylogenomics and evolutionary genomics. In this review, we summarize the applications, advantages and limitations of four NGS-based genome- partitioning approaches in plant phylogenomics: genome skimming, transcriptome sequencing (RNA- seq), restriction site associated DNA sequencing (RAD-Seq), and targeted capture (Hyb-seq). Of these four genome-partitioning approaches, targeted capture (especially Hyb-seq) shows the greatest promise for plant phy^ogenetics over the next fex~ years. This reviex~ wi~ aid ~esea^chers in their selection of appropriate genome-partitioning approaches to address questions of evolutionary scale, where we anticipate continued development and expansion ofwhole-genome sequencing strategies in the fields of plant phylogenomics and evolutionary biology research.展开更多

Through the attributes of size and shape pattern spectrum,the optimal morphological structuring element was determined.According to the optimal parameters,some image noises were removed with an improved area opening and closing by reconstruction operation,which consist of image regional markers,and the bubbles were finely separated from each other by watershed transform.The experimental results show that the structural element can be determined adaptively by shape and size pattern spectrum,and the froth image is segmented accurately.Compared with other froth image segmentation method,the proposed method achieves much high accuracy,based on which,the bubble size and shape features are extracted effectively.展开更多
The effects of the different landforms of the cutting leeward on the aerodynamic performance of high-speed trains were analyzed based on the three-dimensional, steady, and incompressible Navier-Stokes equation and k-e...The effects of the different landforms of the cutting leeward on the aerodynamic performance of high-speed trains were analyzed based on the three-dimensional, steady, and incompressible Navier-Stokes equation and k-e double-equation turbulent model. Results show that aerodynamic forces increase with the cutting leeward slope decreasing. The maximum adding value of lateral force, lift force, and overturning moment are 147%, 44.3%, and 107%, respectively, when the slope varies from 0.67 to -0.67, and the changes in the cutting leeward landform have more effects on the aerodynamic performance when the train is running in the line No. 2 than in the line No. 1. The aerodynamic forces, except the resistance force, sharply increase with the slope depth decreasing. By comparing the circumstance of the cutting depth H=-8 m with that of H=8 m, the resistance force, lateral force, lift force, and overturning moment increase by 26.0%, 251%, 67.3% and 177%, respectively. With the wind angle increasing, the resistance force is nonmonotonic, whereas other forces continuously rise. Under three special landforms, the changes in the law of aerodynamic forces with the wind angle are almost similar to one another.展开更多

Aiming at the rapid identification of rural buildings in complex environments from high-spatialresolution images, an improved Mahalanobis distance colour segmentation method(IMDCSM) is proposed and realised in Red, Gr...Aiming at the rapid identification of rural buildings in complex environments from high-spatialresolution images, an improved Mahalanobis distance colour segmentation method(IMDCSM) is proposed and realised in Red, Green and Blue(RGB) space. Vector sets of a lower discrete degree are obtained by filtering the colour vector sets of the building samples, and a standard ellipsoid equation can be constructed based on these vector sets. The threshold of interested colour range can be flexibly and intuitively selected by changing the shape and size of this ellipsoid. Then, according to the relationship between the location of the image pixel colour vector and the ellipsoid, all building information can be extracted quickly. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) images of two areas in the suburbs of Chengdu city and Deyang city were utilised as experimental data for image segmentation, and the existing colour segmentation method based on the Mahalanobis distance was selected as an indicator to assess the effectiveness of this method. The experimental results demonstrate that the completeness and correctness of this method reached 95% and 83.0%, respectively, values that are higher than those of the Mahalanobis distance colour segmentation method(MDCSM). In general, this method is suitable for the rapid extraction of rural building information, and provides a new threshold selection method for classification.展开更多

In this paper, a novel segmentation approach of point-sampled surfaces is proposed, which is based on the level set evolution scheme. To segment the model so as to align the patch boundaries with high curvature zones, the driven speed function for the zero level set inside narrow band is defined by the extended curvature field, which approaches zero speed as the propagating front approaches high curvature zone. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated by our ex- perimental results. Furthermore, two applications of model segmentation are illustrated, such as piecewise parameterization and local editing for point-sampled geometry.展开更多

Af...An integrated novel method of recognizing huge target is described that combines some relatively mature image processing techniques such as edge detection, thresholding, morphology, image segmentation and so forth. After thresholding the edge image obtained by using Sobel operator, erosion is firstly used to reduce noise and extrusive pixels; then dilation is used to expand some separated pixels into various regions, after that the image segmentation technique is utilized to distinguish the target region with a criterion. The location of the target is also offered. Each technique adopted herein seems not complicated at all, the experimental results demonstrate the efficiency of the combination of these techniques. It is its high computational speed and remarkable robustness resulting from its simplicity that make the method promise to be applied in practical problems requiring real time processing.展开更多

In order to improve the efficiency of gas drainage before and during longwall extraction,a waterjet rotary cutting system has been developed for in-seam cross panel methane drainage.The purpose of the water rotary cut...In order to improve the efficiency of gas drainage before and during longwall extraction,a waterjet rotary cutting system has been developed for in-seam cross panel methane drainage.The purpose of the water rotary cutting system developed was to create artificial fractures along the gas drainage boreholes.During the design of the system,it was perceived that the nozzle geometry is one of the key factors,affecting cutting capacity.Therefore,we studied the structural and geometric parameters of the nozzle and optimized its performance during laboratory tests and numerical simulation.Underground trials conducted in a coal mine,indicate that production of gas drainage before and after cutting significantly increased by up to three times.The advantages of waterjet assisted gas drainage method has been identified as:1) increasing gas drainage efficiency,2) a possible development of a gas drainage fractured network within coal seams associated with panel extraction,and 3) reducing the risk of exceeding gas limits during longwalling.展开更多

文摘Based on cutting principle and technology development of vertical blasthole cutby stage and deck in vertical shaft excavation, combined with the merits of middle spacecharging and toe space charging, the reinforced cutting effect of central large-diameterblasthole and the method of cutting blast by stage and deck toe space charging for thevertical large-diameter blastholes was put forward and analyzed theoretically.This new cutblasting method is provided with the advantages of high blasthole using ratio, big cavitybulk, low rate of chunk, even lumpiness, and relatively high energy using ratio.The parameterchoices and practical effects of this cutting method were discussed after in situexperiment.It shows that the decked delay time of 75~100 ms is applicable.

文摘In order to improve the efficiency of gas drainage before and during longwall extraction,a waterjet rotary cutting system has been developed for in-seam cross panel methane drainage.The purpose of the water rotary cutting system developed was to create artificial fractures along the gas drainage boreholes.During the design of the system,it was perceived that the nozzle geometry is one of the key factors,affecting cutting capacity.Therefore,we studied the structural and geometric parameters of the nozzle and optimized its performance during laboratory tests and numerical simulation.Underground trials conducted in a coal mine,indicate that production of gas drainage before and after cutting significantly increased by up to three times.The advantages of waterjet assisted gas drainage method has been identified as:1) increasing gas drainage efficiency,2) a possible development of a gas drainage fractured network within coal seams associated with panel extraction,and 3) reducing the risk of exceeding gas limits during longwalling.
