Using Tongxian No.2 as material, the effects of different film-covering time, different sowing time and different planting density on the occurrence of freeze injury and yield of fresh broad beans were investigated. The randomized block design was adopted. The results showed that with the delayed film covering, the incidence of mild freeze injury and number of headless seedlings were increased correspondingly, but the yield was increased; with the delayed sowing, the branch number per plant, effective branch number per plant, incidence of mild freeze injury and number of headless seedlings were all reduced, and the broad beans, sowed on September 30 th, obtained the highest yield; planting density showed on effect on the occurrence of freeze injury, and the yield was increased with the increase of planting density. Under the same film-covering time, the incidence of freeze injury was reduced with the delayed sowing time and it showed no changes when planting density was changed, but the yield was increased with the increase of planting density and it was highest when broad bean seeds were sowed on September 30th;under the same sowing time, the incidence of freeze injury was increased with the delayed film-covering time and it showed no changes when planting density was changed, and the yield was increased with the delayed film-covering time and increased planting density; under the same planting density, the incidence of freeze injury was increased with the delayed film-covering time but was reduced with the delayed sowing time, and the yield was increased with the delayed film-covering time and it was highest when the broad bean seeds were sowed on September30 th. Under same film-covering time and sowing time, the total branch number per plant and effective branch number per plant were reduced, but the yield was increased with the increase of planting density; under same film-covering time and planting density, the incidence of freeze injury was reduced with the delayed sowing time, and the yield was highest when broad bean seeds were sowed on September30th; under same sowing time and planting density, the incidence of freeze injury and the yield were all increased with the delayed film-covering time. 展开更多

This study was conducted wiffl a spring soybean variety Jindou 19 to test file effects of rhizobia inoculation or non-inoculation and nitrogen application rates at 0, 27, 54 and 75 kg/hm^2 (N1-4) on root nodule dry weight, root nodule number, yield and yield components of soybean. The results showed that the nitrogen fertilizer significantly affected soybean root noduce and soybean yield, the dry weight and number of root nodules increased gradually with the increase of nitrogen application rate, and the yield of file rhizobia inoculated treatment was significantly higher than that of file rhizobia non-inoculated treatment; and under file condition of file rhizobia inoculation, with nitrogen application amount at 75 kg/hm^2, file Jindou 19 performed a better nitrogen fixing effect in file growing stage, and its plot yield was 4 997.417 kg/hm^2, 4.06% higher than that of file treatment without inoculating rhizobium and 12.50% higher than that of the treatment without applying nitrogen fertilizer. 展开更多

Molybdenum and Cobalt Application in Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) with Two Fertilization Systems under No-Tillage

A field experiment was set up to evaluate the ... Molybdenum (Mo) and Cobalt (Co) play an important role in nitrogen (N) metabolism of grain legumes. Their applications to alkaline soils have been scarcely studied. A field experiment was set up to evaluate the Mo and Co application in common bean cv. Canario Centenario under two fertilization systems: inorganic fertilization and inoculation with Rhizobium etli. In each system, Mo and Mo + Co were applied by seed impregnation at doses of 1.36 g/kg of seed for Mo and 0.26 g/kg of seed for Co; a control for each fertilization system and an absolute control were included. Yield components, nodules characteristics and N content by grains and foliage were evaluated. A completely randomized block design with seven treatments and five replications was used. Mo application increased the grain yield, grain size, nodulation and N accumulation in grains under both fertilization systems. Mo increased the total N uptake by the plant in 35.4% and 26%, for N fertilized and inoculated plants, respectively. Co application increased only nodules number and weight, and N content under inoculation. Mo application to beans cultivated in alkaline soils is recommended, but Co application is suitable only when beans are inoculated with rhizobia. 展开更多

Soil Phosphorus Fractions Change in Winter in a Corn-Soybean Rotation with Tillage and Phosphorus Fertilization 被引量:2

Determining how agricultural management practices affect soil phosphorus(P) over the winter may further our understanding of the soil P cycle under specific environmental conditions in eastern Canada. This study assessed changes over winter for soil P fractions and other selected chemical properties as affected by tillage and P fertilization. In 1992, a long-term corn(Zea mays L.) and soybean(Glycine max L.) rotational experiment was established in the province of Quebec, Canada. Soil samples(0–15 cm) were collected in fall 2001 and 2007 after a soybean harvest, and in the following spring 2002 and 2008 before corn seeding, in main plots under moldboard plow and no-till managements and selected subplots fertilized with 0, 17.5, or 35 kg P ha-1and 160 kg N ha-1. Soil samples were analyzed for P fractions and other chemical properties to assess changes over winter for 2001–2002 and 2007–2008. Changes over winter of all soil P fractions were significant for the two periods, indicating the occurrence of soil P transformation and movement over winter. The Mehlich-3-extractable Fe, Al, Ca, and Mg decreased during the two studied periods. Tillage had no significant effect on all soil P fractions. The resin-extractable P in 2001–2002 and Na HCO3-extractable inorganic P and Na OH-extractable organic P during the two winters were significantly increased under P fertilization. This study demonstrated that P in cultivated soils changed during winter as a result of changes in labile P fractions possibly due to the solubilization of residual fertilizer P combined with environmental factors. 展开更多
