Mountain tourism is thought to be an effective and important means for maintaining and expanding rural economies and, thus, improving the living conditions of rural societies. As mountain tourism service research is a professional field with several disciplines involved, a multi-disciplinary management pIatform is needed and it facilitates participation in sustainable mountain development by diverse stakeholders. With the source regions of the Yangtze and the Yellow River as a case study, this paper presents a conceptual framework for an adaptation management of mountain tourism services according to technical, policy, social and economic dimensions. The framework is based on a vulnerability assessment of mountain ecosystems, and can serve as a reference for the development of tourism service in other mountain areas.展开更多

Tourism development planning should use land...Preparation of tourism development planning should be based on economic and social development plan, and adapt to economic growth and the development of related industries. Tourism development planning should use land planning, regional planning and territorial planning to be related to the overall urban planning coordination, it shall comply with the relevant provisions of the national infrastructure plan. Tourism development planning should be coordinated with scenic spots, nature reserves, cultural and religious sites, cultural relic' s protection units and other professional planning. National Tourism Bureau is responsible for organizing the preparation of the national tourism development plan, the development of regional tourism planning across provincial development planning and national priorities identified tourist routes, and tourist areas; local tourism bureau is responsible for organizing the preparation of the administrative region tourism development plan. According to the relevant provisions of the National Tourism Administration Tourism Planning and Design Qualification management, tourism development plan is announced for the preparation of qualification units. Tourism Development Plan prepares for the economic and social development which should be market prospects, resources, environmental factors to conduct a thorough investigation to obtain accurate basic data, it starts from the market demand attention ecological environment and cultural heritage protection and continuation of the positive use of advanced planning methods and techniques.展开更多
The renewed interest in "cultural landscapes" is a global phenomenon to be explained in a multi dimensional way.The process of revalorising traditional habitats,people and their way of living in a particular environ...The renewed interest in "cultural landscapes" is a global phenomenon to be explained in a multi dimensional way.The process of revalorising traditional habitats,people and their way of living in a particular environment,is closely linked to the introduction of heritage as "a cultural,social and economic construct".The recognition of cultural landscapes as a new category on the world heritage list (UNESCO) since the 1990s,emphasises the importance of the human-environment interaction and the need for understanding the dynamics of landscapes in time and space.Values are changing and new opportunities emerge for a "dynamic preservation" of iconic landscapes and traditional communities.A cross disciplinary understanding of interacting processes is essential to plan and manage sustainable heritage(land)scapes.Various pilot projects and case studies-world-wide-lead to critical reflections about the sustainability of heritage landscapes and the sovereign role of tourism.The perspective of "Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Sites" (GIAHS),supported by economic resources generated by tourism,requires a research-based approach analysing opportunities and expectations,assessing strategic policies and top down politics.展开更多
