We analyze the potential of the proposed method for suppressing the airwave, and compare the proposed method with traditional methods in their effectiveness. A method to select synthetic source length is derived and the effect of the water depth on RAC is examined via numerical simulations. The results suggest that 3DD interferometry method with a synthetic source can effectively suppress the airwave and enhance the potential of marine CSEM to hydrocarbon exploration.展开更多

From both the theoretical analysis and real data valida- tion, it is concluded that target echo and RFI have different Region Of Support (ROS) in 2-D fast- time wavenumber and aperture wavenumber domain. Consequently, a novel adaptive filter is pro- posed according to the Wiener optimum criterion on the distinct ROS characteristics of target echo and RFI. Compared with the notch filter and the Least Mean Square (LMS) adaptive filter in previ- ous literatures, the proposed method is more computationally efficient with satisfactory suppression results. In terms of Signal-to-Interference Ratio Improvement (SIRI) and processing time, the per- formance of the proposed adaptive filter is verified with the field data collected with a UWB SAR system.展开更多

And the pore structures are influenced by the fiber properties and fibers arrangement in web. In this paper, the fractal geometry, in combination with computer image anaysis, is used to express the irregularity of pore size distribution in nonwovens, and the effect of fiber properties on fractal dimension of pore size distribution is discussed by using simulated images which are composed of nonlinear staple fibers. The results show that the fiber properties, such as crimp, diameter, angular distribution, and especially the number of fibers prominently influence the pore structure.展开更多

Oil weighting factor of oil-water emulsion is one of the most important parameters for emergent oil-spill microwave monitoring. A new method is proposed here to evaluate the oil weighting factor based on fractional Weierstrass scattering model. By using the proposed method, we analyze the Uninhabited Aerial Vehicle Synthetic Aperture Radar(UAVSAR) L-band fully polarimetric data acquired during 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster event in the Gulf of Mexico. The result shows that our method performs well in evaluating oil weighting factor of oil-covered area.展开更多
