This VCO is de...A monolithic voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) based on negative resistance principle is presented uti-lizing commercially available InGaP/GaAs hetero-junction bipolar transistor (HBT) technology. This VCO is de-signed for 5GHz-band wireless applications. Except for bypass and decoupled capacitors,no external component is needed for real application. Its measured output frequency range is from 4.17 to 4.56GHz,which is very close to the simulation one. And the phase noise at an offset frequency of 1MHz is -112dBc/Hz. The VCO core dissipates 15.5mW from a 3.3V supply,and the output power ranges from 0 to 2dBm. To compare with other oscillators,the figure of merit is calculated,which is about -173.2dBc/Hz. Meanwhile, the principle and design method of nega-tive resistance oscillator are also discussed.展开更多
In this study,an ultra‐fast and simple solvent‐free microwave method was successfully demonstrated using a series of ultra‐small(~2.5 nm)surfactant‐free Ru_(2)P@Ru/CNT heterostructures for the first time.The struc...In this study,an ultra‐fast and simple solvent‐free microwave method was successfully demonstrated using a series of ultra‐small(~2.5 nm)surfactant‐free Ru_(2)P@Ru/CNT heterostructures for the first time.The structure has a high‐density Ru component and Ru_(2)P component interface,which accelerates the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).The prepared Ru_(2)P@Ru/CNT demonstrated excellent catalytic effects for the HER in alkaline media and real seawater.The experimental results indicate that ratio‐optimized Ru_(2)P@Ru/CNT(Ru_(2)P:Ru=66:34)requires only 23 and 29 mV to reach 10 mA cm^(-2)in 1.0 mol/L KOH and real seawater,respectively.These values are 10 and 24 mV lower than those of commercial Pt/C in 1.0 mol/L KOH(33 mV)and real seawater(53 mV),respectively,making it among the best non‐Pt HER reported in the literature.Additionally,the TOF of Ru_(2)P@Ru/CNT in alkaline freshwater and seawater were 13.1 and 8.5 s^(-1),respectively.These exceed the corresponding values for Pt/C,indicating that the catalyst has excellent intrinsic activity.The high current activity of Ru_(2)P@Ru/CNT in 1.0 mol/L KOH was explored,and only 77 and 104 mV were required to reach 500 and 1000 mA cm^(-2),respectively.After 100 h of durability testing,the catalyst retained excellent catalytic and structural stability in low current density,high current density,and seawater.展开更多

To obtain high positioning accuracy based on source limited devices, ...Wi-Fi indoor positioning system has received increasing interest in pervasive computing applications due to its low cost and satisfactory accuracy. To obtain high positioning accuracy based on source limited devices, various AP selection strategies have been proposed to select the most discriminant APs for positioning. In this paper, we propose a spatially localized AP selection method based on joint location information gain. In contrast to traditional AP selection methods which measure the discriminant ability of APs independently, we consider choosing APs jointly. By considering the correlation of the discriminant ability between different APs, more accurate measure of the discriminant ability of APs can be taken. Furthermore, since the optimal AP selection solution varies spatially, we incorporate a location clustering method to localize AP selection and subsequent positioning process. Finally, support vector regression (SVR) algorithm is combined to estimate the location. Experiments are carried in a realistic Wi-Fi indoor environment. Experimental results show that, by using the localized joint AP selection strategy, the proposed positioning method achieves a high-level accuracy while reducing the energy consumption on client devices significantly.展开更多

Effects of the structural parameters and driving conditions on the operation performance of the pump are discussed in detail. The new algorithm for the structure is called pre-despreading and wavelet denoising constant modulus algorithm (D-WD-CMA). In the new algorithm, the pre-despreading is applied to multitarget arrays to remove some multiple access inter- ferences. After that the received signal is subjected to wavelet de-noising to reduce some noise, and used in CMA adaptive iteration for signal separation. The NiCo2O4 was prepared by a facile hydrothermal reaction and subsequently treated in a commercial microw...A rod-like NiCo2O4 modified glassy carbon electrode was fabricated and used for non-enzymatic glucose sensing. The NiCo2O4 was prepared by a facile hydrothermal reaction and subsequently treated in a commercial microwave oven to eliminate the residual water introduced during the hydrothermal procedure. Structural analysis showed that there was no significant structural alteration before and after microwave treatment. The elimination of water residuals was confirmed by the stoichiometric ratio change by using element analysis. The microwave treated NiCo2O4 (M-NiCo2O4) showed excellent performance as a glucose sensor (sensitivity 431.29 μA·mmol/L-1·cm-2). The sensing performance decreases dramatically by soaking the M-NiCo2O4 in water. This result indicates that the introduction of residual water during hydrothermal process strongly affects the electrochemical performance and microwave pre-treatment is crucial for better sensory performance.展开更多

In the research of path planning for manipulators with many DOF, generally there is a problem in most traditional methods, which is that their computational cost (time and memory space) increases exponentially as DOF ...In the research of path planning for manipulators with many DOF, generally there is a problem in most traditional methods, which is that their computational cost (time and memory space) increases exponentially as DOF or resolution of the discrete configuration space increases. So this paper presents the collision-free trajectory planning for the space robot to capture a target based on the wavelet interpolation algorithm. We made wavelet sample on the desired trajectory of the manipulator’s end-effector to do trajectory planning by use of the proposed wavelet interpolation formula, and then derived joint vectors from the trajectory information of the end-effector based on the fixed-attitude-restrained generalized Jacobian matrix of multi-arm coordinated motion, so as to control the manipulator to capture a static body along the desired collision-free trajectory. The method overcomes the shortcomings of the typical methods, and the desired trajectory of the end-effector can be any kind of complex nonlinear curve. The algorithm is simple and highly effective and the real trajectory is close to the desired trajectory. In simulation, the planar dual-arm three DOF space robot is used to demonstrate the proposed method, and it shows that the algorithm is feasible.展开更多
In this work, we constrain the spectral index nt of the primordial gravitational wave power spectrum in a universe with sterile neutrinos by using the Planck temperature data, the WMAP 9-year polarization data, the ba...In this work, we constrain the spectral index nt of the primordial gravitational wave power spectrum in a universe with sterile neutrinos by using the Planck temperature data, the WMAP 9-year polarization data, the baryon acoustic oscillation data, and the BICEP2 data. We call this model the ACDM+r+vs+nt model. The additional massive sterile neutrino species can significantly relieve the tension between the Planck and BICEP2 data, and thus can reduce the possible effects of this tension on the fit results of nt. To constrain the parameters of sterile neutrino, we also utilize the Hubble constant direct measurement data, the Planck Sunyaev-Zeldovich cluster counts data, the Planck CMB lensing data, and the cosmic shear data. We find that due to the fact that the BICEP2 data are most sensitive to the multipole ( - 150 corresponding to k - 0.01 Mpc^-1, there exists a strong anticorrelation between nt and r0.0o2 in the BICEP2 data, and this further results in a strongly blue-tilt spectrum. However, a slightly red-tilt tensor power spectrum is also allowed by the BICEP2 data in the region with larger value of r0.00z. By using the full data sets, we obtain mvisterile ^eff = 0.48 -0.13^+0.11 eV, Near = 3.73 -0.37^+0.34, and nt = 0.96 -0.63^ +0.48 for the ACDM+r+vs+nt model.展开更多

The filter uses a multi-wavelength fiber laser as the light source, two sections of polarization maintaining fiber(PMF) and three polarization controllers(PCs) as the laser frequency selection device. By adjusting the PC to change the effective length of the PMF, the laser can obtain three wavelength spacings, which are 0.44 nm, 0.78 nm and 1.08 nm, respectively. And the corresponding free spectral ranges(FSRs) are 8.46 GHz, 4.66 GHz and 3.44 GHz, respectively. Thus changing the wavelength spacing of the laser can make the FSR variable. An IIR filter is introduced based on a finite impulse response(FIR) filter. Then the 3-d B bandwidth of the MPF is reduced, and the main side-lobe suppression ratio(MSSR) is increased. By adjusting the gain of the radio frequency(RF) signal amplifier, the frequency response of the filter can be enhanced.展开更多

A new method is proposed here to evaluate the oil weighting factor based on fractional Weierstrass scattering model. By using the proposed method, we analyze the Uninhabited Aerial Vehicle Synthetic Aperture Radar(UAVSAR) L-band fully polarimetric data acquired during 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster event in the Gulf of Mexico. The result shows that our method performs well in evaluating oil weighting factor of oil-covered area.展开更多
The realization of tunable nonlinear optical(NLO)responses in a single nano-/micro-structure is extremely important.However,in lack of effective ways to integrate multiple performances,it still faces severe limitation...The realization of tunable nonlinear optical(NLO)responses in a single nano-/micro-structure is extremely important.However,in lack of effective ways to integrate multiple performances,it still faces severe limitations during applications.Herein,we demonstrate a wavelength-dependent NLO micro-structure based on host-guest metal-organic framework(MOF)materials through encapsulating linear dye molecules into periodic one-dimensional(1D)channels.The confinement to non-centrosymmetric polar dye molecules enhances the second-/third-order NLO responses of the hybrid crystals,causing obvious two-photon luminescence(TPL),second harmonic generation(SHG)and third harmonic generation(THG)responses in the as-prepared composites.The highly ordered structures of MOFs impart spatial regulation on the linear dye molecules to realize orientation alignment,resulting in the polarized anisotropy emission.NIR-to-NIR(NIR,near-infrared region)two-photon pumped lasing is realized with the natural whispering gallery mode resonance cavities of MOFs under the excitation of a 1200-nm fs laser.Furthermore,tunable NLO properties such as TPL,SHG and THG are achieved through switching the incident excitation wavelength from 800 to 1500 nm.Such hybrid materials with tunable NLO responses may open a new avenue toward designing multifunctional NLO devices in the future.展开更多
