According to objects recently unearthed from Guangdong, the early Bronze Age in this region began from the Shang period and is represented by three cultural types, i.e. the Fubin type in eastern Guangdong, the middle ...According to objects recently unearthed from Guangdong, the early Bronze Age in this region began from the Shang period and is represented by three cultural types, i.e. the Fubin type in eastern Guangdong, the middle Shixia type in northern Guangdong, and the Cuntou type in the Zhujiang Delta and southern coastal area. The first type was developed from the complex of the transitional stage from the Neolithic to the Bronze Age in Northern Guangdong. The second type is unknown in origin for the time being as there is a distinct gap between it and the Shixia culture. The third type might have originated from the complex represented by the remains of Yinzhou Ⅱ in Sanshui and Youyugang Ⅱ in Nanhai. All of them belong to the stage characterized by early kui-hydra design pottery.展开更多
