Objective： To evaluate the clinical effects and toxicity of concurrent chemoradiotherapy combined with Kanglaite injection in the treatment of regionally advanced unresectable non-small cell lung cancer. Methods： 48...Objective： To evaluate the clinical effects and toxicity of concurrent chemoradiotherapy combined with Kanglaite injection in the treatment of regionally advanced unresectable non-small cell lung cancer. Methods： 48 patients with regionally advanced unresectable non-small cell lung cancer were randomized to two groups, 25 patients in the combination group （concurrent chemoradiotherapy ＋ Kanglaite） and 23 patients in the control group （concurrent chemoradiotherapy）. The combination group received chemotherapy of vinorelbine （NVB） plus cisplatin （DDP） regimen, radiotherapy was given with conventional fraction in 2 Gy per fraction and five fractions per week concurrently. The total tumor doses were 56-60 Gy. Combined with Kanglaite injection 200 mud for twenty-one days for two courses in the combination group, the control group was chemoradiotherapy only. Effects and toxicities were evaluated according to the criteria of WHO. Results： The CR rates in the combination group and control group were 24.0% （6/25） and 13.0% （3/23）, respectively （P 〉 0.05）. Response （CR ＋ PR） rates of combination group were 76.0 % （19/25） and 69.6% （16/23） in control group, P 〉 0.05. The incidence rates of grades 3-4 leukocytopenia, grades 3-4 digestive system （nausea and vomiting） and grades 3-4 esophagitis in the combination group and control group were 40.0% （10/25）, 8.0% （2/25）, 16.0% （4/25） and 69.6% （16/23）, 34.8% （8/23）, 43.5% （10/23）, respectively （P 〈 0.05）. KPS and body weight score significantly increased in combination group after the combined treatment, P 〈 0.05. Conclusion： Concurrent chemoradiotherapy combined with Kanglaite injection can relieve side effects of chemoradiotherapy in the treatment of regionally advanced unresectable non-small cell lung cancer, and improve quality of life. Kanglaite injection may increase effective rate of regionally advanced unresectable non-small cell lung cancer combined with concurrent chemoradiotherapy.展开更多
Objective:To evaluate the clinical effects and adverse reactions of Docetaxel and Thalidomide in treating advanced androgen independent prostate cancer(AIPC).Methods:12 cases of advanced AIPC were given a combined tre...Objective:To evaluate the clinical effects and adverse reactions of Docetaxel and Thalidomide in treating advanced androgen independent prostate cancer(AIPC).Methods:12 cases of advanced AIPC were given a combined treatment of Docetaxel and Thalidomide, with Docetaxel 75 mg/m2 on day 1 and Thalidomide 100 mg per day as initial dose and 300 mg as terminal dose by an increase of 50 mg every week.Results:The post-treatment values of prostate specific antigen(PSA) were normal(< 4 ng/L) in 10 patients, less than 50% of pretreatment value in one patient, and no significant change in one patient.The median survival time was 14 months and period of the median symptoms reduction was 16.3 months.Common adverse reactions were tolerable, including nausea, vomiting, leukopenia, anemia and thrombocytopenia.Conclusion:The regimen of Docetaxel combined with Thalidomide was effective and tolerable in the treatment of advanced AIPC.展开更多

The IOP was measured with the Goldmann ap-planation tonometer. Both in the control and 3rd trimester subjects, the peak of mean IOP appeared in themorning when the subJects waked, and the trough of mean IOP happened at 2 am to 4 am. The diurnal in-traocular pressure curves revealed that the lOP peaks were 15.4±0. 9 and 12. 9±0. 6 mmHg in the controland third trimester pregnant subjects, respectively. Whereas the trough were 13.1±0. 4 and 11. 8±0. 3mmHg, respectively. The mean diurnal variation were 2. 3±0. 6 mmHg (P<O.01 ), and 1.1±0. 8mmHg in the control and third trimester subjects, respectively. Using current European and American work as a reference point, this article explores the differences and gaps between foreign and Chinese scholars in this field of research. The author believes that on the question of the boundaries of later Greek philosophy, Chinese scholars have, through long years of exploration, come up with independent opinions and solutions that differ from those of their European and Ameriean counterparts, and that they have a better grasp of the distinctive features of later Greek philosophy. Their work, however, clearly falls short with regard to historical source material. As far as methodology is concerned, there is a clear tendency towards convergence between Chinese scholars and their foreign colleagues.展开更多
