The association between spondyloarthropathy and in flammatory bowel disease(IBD) is largely established, although prevalence is variable because of different population selection and diagnostic methodologies.Most stud...The association between spondyloarthropathy and in flammatory bowel disease(IBD) is largely established, although prevalence is variable because of different population selection and diagnostic methodologies.Most studies indicate that as many as 10%15% of cases of IBD are complicated by ankylosing spondylitis(AS) or other forms of spondylarthritis(SpA).Of note, ileal inflammation resembling IBD has been reported in up to two thirds of cases of SpA, and it has been suggested that the presence of ileitis is associated with the chronic ity of articular complications.Although this observation is of interest to unravel the pathophysiology of the disease, systematic screening of patients with SpA by ileocolonos copy is not indicated in the absence of gut symptoms, as only a small proportion of patients with subclinical gut inflammation will develop overt IBD over time.The existence of familial clustering of both IBD and AS, the coexistence of both conditions in a patient, the evidence of an increased risk ratio among f irstand seconddegree relatives of affected AS or IBD patients and f inally, the increased crossrisk ratios between AS and IBD, strongly suggest a shared genetic background.So far, however, IL23R is the only identified susceptibility gene shared by both IBD and AS.Although functional studies are still needed to better understand its pathogenic role, great ef fort is being spent therapeutically targeting this pathway that may prove effective for both disorders.展开更多

The reconstruction of background noise from an error signal of an adaptive filter is a key issue for developing Variable Step-Size Normalized Least Mean Square (VSS-NLMS) algorithm in the context of Echo Cancellation ...The reconstruction of background noise from an error signal of an adaptive filter is a key issue for developing Variable Step-Size Normalized Least Mean Square (VSS-NLMS) algorithm in the context of Echo Cancellation (EC). The core parameter in this algorithm is the Background Noise Power (BNP); in the estimation of BNP, the power difference between the desired signal and the filter output, statistically equaling to the error signal power, has been widely used in a rough manner. In this study, a precise BNP estimate is implemented by multiplying the rough estimate with a corrective factor, taking into consideration the fact that the error signal consists of background noise and misalignment noise. This corrective factor is obtained by subtracting half of the latest VSS value from 1 after analyzing the ratio of BNP to the misalignment noise. Based on the precise BNP estimate, the PVSS-NLMS algorithm suitable for the EC system is eventually proposed. In practice, the proposed algorithm exhibits a significant advantage of easier controllability application, as prior knowledge of the EC environment can be neglected. The simulation results support the preciseness of the BNP estimation and the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.展开更多

Ukraine has unique conditions of the secondary usage of natural resources, which is particularly important given to the increasing generation of waste and its progressive accumulation. The relevant provisions relate to the industrial sector as well as areas of consumption. However, for most of recyclable materials is still low. The formation of market relations in Ukraine contributed to enhance this process and relevant field of entrepreneurship. Now the formation of a separate segment is taking place. The state and the perspectives of the development of collection, accumulation and recycling of waste stream have been analyzed in the article. Conceptual position of the legislative regulation of this field is defined. The ways of improving the legal support of secondary raw materials have been defined. The peculiarities of waste management of Ukraine are considered.展开更多
The aesthetic perceptions of local residents towards residential landscapes are significant to the protection and sustainable development of regional landscapes, especially in underdeveloped areas with landscape resou...The aesthetic perceptions of local residents towards residential landscapes are significant to the protection and sustainable development of regional landscapes, especially in underdeveloped areas with landscape resources of higher aesthetic value. Using Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province as a case study, we conducted questionnaires with 620 local residents and a logistic regression model to determine aesthetic perceptions and factors affecting these perceptions. We found that local residents in Nujiang hold a relatively high perception of their residential landscapes. A majority of respondents, 75.81%, believe their residential landscapes are beautiful. Eight factors were found to influence the aesthetic perception. In direct influential factors, administrative village located in the protected areas and the standard deviation of the elevation around the administrative village have positive influence; distance from administrative village to county town, the ecological environment has changed in recent years, whether tourism development has a negative impact and wish to live in the city have negative influence. In indirect influential factors, both residential house type and have a television at home have positive influence. Based on these results, we discussed relevant policy suggestions to maintain the aesthetic perceptions held by local residents of their residential landscapes and promote the protection and sustainable development of this valuable landscape in Nujiang.展开更多
