We deal with a consensus control problem for a group of third order agents which are networked by digraphs.Assuming that the control input of each agent is constructed based on weighted difference between its states and those of its neighbor agents, we aim to propose an algorithm on computing the weighting coefficients in the control input. The problem is reduced to designing Hurwitz polynomials with real or complex coefficients. We show that by using Hurwitz polynomials with complex coefficients, a necessary and sufficient condition can be obtained for designing the consensus algorithm. Since the condition is both necessary and sufficient, we provide a kind of parametrization for all the weighting coefficients achieving consensus. Moreover, the condition is a natural extension to second order consensus, and is reasonable and practical due to its comparatively decreased computation burden. The result is also extended to the case where communication delay exists in the control input. 展开更多

This paper focuses on the development of an embedded integrated servo-controller (EISC) for servomotors. Comprising of mainly servo-controller and servo-amplifiers, this EISC is capable of controlling a wide range of servomotors to perform complieated tasks. Hence, integration of this EISC with a servomotor forms an intelligent modular actuator (IMA) that is essential to modern manufacturing industries. The development of such an EISC involves two major tasks: first, designing the hardware of a compact-sized and highly compatible EISC, and second, developing the software functions to facilitate its functionalities and capahilities. The developed EISC hence forms an integrated-servo-eontrol module, which determines the capability, functionality, flexibility and responsiveness of these IMAs. 展开更多

During the compaction of a road subgrade, the mechanical parameters of the soil mass change in real time, but current research assumes that these parameters remain unchanged. In order to address this discrepancy, this paper establishes a relationship between the degree of compaction K and strain ε. The relationship between the compaction degree K and the shear strength of soil(cohesion c and frictional angle φ) was clearly established through indoor experiments. The subroutine UMAT in ABAQUS finite element numerical software was developed to realize an accurate calculation of the subgrade soil compaction quality. This value was compared and analyzed against the assumed compaction value of the model, thereby verifying the accuracy of the intelligent compaction calculation results for subgrade soil. On this basis, orthogonal tests of the influential factors(frequency, amplitude, and quality) for the degree of compaction and sensitivity analysis were carried out. Finally, the ‘acceleration intelligent compaction value’, which is based on the acceleration signal, is proposed for a compaction meter value that indicates poor accuracy. The research results can provide guidance and basis for further research into the accurate control of compaction quality for roadbeds and pavements. 展开更多

The installation of vast quantities of additional new sensing and communication equipment, in conjunction with building the computing infrastructure to store and manage data gathered by this equipment, has been the fi rst step in the creation of what is generically referred to as the "smart grid" for the electric transmission system. With this enormous capital investment in equipment having been made, attention is now focused on developing methods to analyze and visualize this large data set. The most direct use of this large set of new data will be in data visualization. This paper presents a survey of some visualization techniques that have been deployed by the electric power industry for visualizing data over the past several years. These techniques include pie charts, animation, contouring, time-varying graphs, geographic-based displays, image blending, and data aggregation techniques. The paper then emphasizes a newer concept of using word-sized graphics called sparklines as an extremely eff ective method of showing large amounts of timevarying data. 展开更多

The building automation system is based on innovative middleware framework which simplifies the modeling of a software for intelligent management of buildings and allows a multistandard and multiprotocol integration of sensors and actuators. The project has the target of underlining the economical opportunities and perspectives concerning the smart system adoption. Estimating the effects of home automation is essential to help its implementation, especially now that energy cost represents a consistent part of the house/building consumptions and will increase in the next few years. Various forecasting methods have been developed on the basis of neural network, but accuracy has been matter of concern in these forecasts. In neural network methods forecasted values depend to the choose of neural predictor structure, the number of the input, the lag. To remedy to these problem, in this paper, the authors are investing the applicability of an automatic design of a neural predictor realized by real Genetic Algorithms to predict the future value of a time series. In the open and changeable environment on the Internet, it is of great significance to research a system flexible and capable in dynamic evolution that can find a collaboration method for agents which can be used in dynamic evolution process. With such a method, agents accomplish tasks for an overall target and at the same time, the collaborative relationship of agents can be adjusted with the change of environment. A method of task decomposition and collaboration of agents by improved contract net protocol is introduced. Finally, analysis on the result of the experiments is performed to verify the improved contract net protocol can greatly increase the efficiency of communication and collaboration in multi-agent system. 展开更多

Many specified business needs in enterprise context cannot be effectively satisfied using current business process technology.This phenomenon is called the "long tail" of business processes.In addition,more and more business applications need to be accessed from mobile devices such as smartphones by enterprise end users.This paper attempts to solve both two challenges above.A lightweight event-driven process model is proposed aiming at satisfying the spontaneous business needs in enterprise.And we design an innovative wizard,which works like a tutorial,guiding end users in creating this lightweight process model.Moreover,end users are allowed to interact with the process created by themselves on smartphones.Finally,the usability of our approach was evaluated on a small set of users in a real business scenario.The results show that end users can effectively build their personalized business processes using our approach and interact with them in mobile environment. 展开更多

To complete the contact fatigue reliability analysis of spur gear under elastohydrodynamic lubrication(EHL) efficiently and accurately, an intelligent method is proposed. Oil film pressure is approximated using quadratic polynomial with intercrossing term and then mapped into the Hertz contact zone. Considering the randomness of the EHL, material properties and fatigue strength correction factors, the probabilistic reliability analysis model is established using artificial neural network(ANN). Genetic algorithm(GA) is employed to search the minimum reliability index and the design point by introducing an adjusting factor in penalty function. Reliability sensitivity analysis is completed based on the advanced first order second moment(AFOSM). Numerical example shows that the established probabilistic reliability analysis model could correctly reflect the effect of EHL on contact fatigue of spur gear, and the proposed intelligent method has an excellent global search capability as well as a highly efficient computing performance compared with the traditional Monte Carlo method(MCM). 展开更多
