A new kind of multilevel spatial association of the rules mining method based on the cloud model is presented. The cloud model integrates the vague and random use of linguistic terms in a unified way. With these models, spatial and nonspatial attribute values are well generalized at multiple levels, allowing discovery of strong spatial association rules. Combining the cloud model based method with Apriori algorithms for mining association rules from a spatial database shows benefits in being effective and flexible. 展开更多

Recently, the Internet of Things (loT) has attracted more and more attention. Multimedia sensor network plays an important role in the IoT, and audio event detection in the multimedia sensor net- works is one of the most important applications for the Internet of Things. In practice, it is hard to get enough real-world samples to generate the classifi- ers for some special audio events (e.g., car-crash- ing in the smart traffic system). In this paper, we introduce a TrAdaBoost-based method to solve the above problem. By using the proposed approach, we can train a strong classifier by using only a tiny amount of real-world data and a large number of more easily collected samples (e.g., collected from TV programs), even when the real-world data is not sufficient to train a model alone. We deploy this ap- proach in a smart traffic system to evaluate its per- formance, and the experiment evaluations demonstrate that our method can achieve satisfying results. 展开更多

The advantage of the information utilization model from information to function was confirmed through comparative study. Finally, the model presented that a real interconnection of transportation would be achieved based on the unified information collection. Therefore, smart grids can have multiple shapes because there is no single unified concept of what constitutes a "Smart Grid". Smart grid is considered a core concept in sustainable electricity generation and consumption while being projected as a silver-bullet to electric power system challenges. South Africa's dwindling reserve margin, high CO_2 emissions and future energy mix are outstanding reasons for her smart grid deployment. Who receives the credit for smart grid neology is contentious and smart grid definition is diverse. However, there is a consensus on its attributes or benefits. The establishment of SASGI (South Africa Smart Grid Initiative) and Eskom's commencement of deploying a hybrid smart grid model are proofs of the country's commitment towards smart grid concept and developments. Coalition formation is an important coordination problem in multi-agent systems, and a proper description of collaborative abilities for agents is the basic and key precondition in handling this problem. In this paper, a model of task-oriented collaborative abilities is established, where five task-oriented abilities are extracted to form a collaborative ability vector. A task demand vector is also described. In addition, a method of coalition formation with stochastic mechanism is proposed to reduce excessive competitions. An artificial intelligent algorithm is proposed to compensate for the difference between the expected and actual task requirements, which could improve the cognitive capabilities of agents for human commands. Simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed model and the distributed artificial intelligent algorithm. 展开更多
