Our research question rea... Since the beginning of computer games era, artificial intelligence (AI) has been a standard feature of games. The current emphasis in computer game AI is improving the quality of opponent AI. Our research question reads: How can unsupervised online learning be incorporated in Computer Role Playing Game(CRPG) to improve the strategy of the opponent AI? Our goal is to use online evolutionary learning to design strategies that can defeat the opponent. So we apply a novel technique called dynamic scripting that realizes online adaptation of scripted opponent AI and report on experiments performed in a simulated CRPG to assess the adaptive performance obtained with the technique. 展开更多

r-learning,which is based on e-learning and u-learning,is defined as a learning support system that intelligent robots serve verbal and nonverbal interactions on ubiquitous computing environment.In order to guarantee ... r-learning,which is based on e-learning and u-learning,is defined as a learning support system that intelligent robots serve verbal and nonverbal interactions on ubiquitous computing environment.In order to guarantee the advantages of r-learning contents with no limits of timc and place and with nonverbal interaction which are not in e-learning contents,in recent years,assessment criteria for r-learning contents are urgently rcquired.Therefore,the reliable and valid assessment criteria were developed for nonverbal interaction contents in r-learning,and its detailed research content is as follows.First,assessment criteria for nonverbal interaction in r-learning contents will be specified into gesture,facial expression,semi-verbal message,distance,physical contact and time.Second,the validity of the developed assessment criteria will be proved by statistics.Consequently,the assessment criteria for nonverbal interaction contents will be helpful when choosing the better r-learning content and producing the better r-learning content,and the reliability of school education is improved ultimately. 展开更多

The Relationship of Learning Strategies and Styles on Language Learning

This study investigates the relationship of learning strategies and styles on language learning and shows how different learning materials according to students' adoptions of them. And it especially focuses on analyzing and understanding how M.I. (Multiple Intelligences), as a strategy, influence on language learning. For research method, this study adopts the observations of the classroom teachings and interviews with the students. As a result, the findings show that first, there are not enough clear explanation on relationship of strategies and styles, but overall, certain factors as verbal-linguistic and interpersonal intelligences help language learners improve their language ability. Second, the use of learning strategies has a positive effect on language learning. Third, the use of learning strategies can be trained and encouraged in language classrooms. Fourth, the appropriate learning materials should be selected according to learners' strategies and styles so that learning is more effective and successful. Finally, the implications of these findings are discussed. 展开更多

This paper critically reviews a comprehensive and detailed philosophical account of the plausibility and practicability of artificial intelligence (AI), an emerging field of study which has brought forth a host of technical, methodological, epistemological and ethical issues across various disciplines. Contrary to the prevailing belief, Wittgenstein's legacies are found to have contributed considerably to the philosophical underpinnings for modern Al theory and research. In a thorough scrutiny of the issue, the author extensively examines major philosophical insights engendered by the nexus of interests in the burgeoning AI enterprise, and makes predictions on how close we could ever get to creating human intelligence and its profound practical implications for human existence. Future dimensions of AI research in relation to philosophy and language are further explored with special reference to their potential relevance to natural language processing in Chinese. 展开更多
