For complex 3D geoelectric structure, tensor CSAMT is more suitable. In this paper, we discuss 3D tensor CSAMT forward modeling using the vector finite-element method. To verify the feasibility of the algorithm, we calculate the electric field, magnetic field, and tensor impedance of the 3D CSAMT far-zone field in layered media and compare them with theoretical solutions. In addition, a three-dimensional anomaly in half-space is also simulated, and the response characteristics of the impedance tensor and the apparent resistivity and impedance phase are analyzed. The results suggest that the vector finite-element method produces high-precision electromagnetic field and impedance tensor data, satisfies the electric field discontinuity, and does not require divergence correction using the vector finite-element method.展开更多

In order to optimize the CEC processing, the effects of friction condition and die geometry on the distribution of total equivalent plastic strain were investigated. The results show that the strain distributions in the workpieces are inhomogeneous after CEC deformation. The strains of the both ends of the workpieces are lower than that of the center region. The process parameters have significant effects on the strain distribution. The friction between die and workpiece is detrimental to strain homogeneity, thus the friction should be decreased. In order to improve the strain homogeneity, a large corner radius and a low extrusion angle should be used.展开更多

The thermal and stress analyses of SiCn/Al brake disk during emergency braking at a speed of 300 km/h considering airflow cooling were investigated using finite element (FE) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods. All three modes of heat transfer (conduction, convection and radiation) were analyzed along with the design features of the brake assembly and their interfaces. The results suggested that the higher convection coefficients achieved with airflow cooling will not only reduce the maximum temperature in the braking but also reduce the thermal gradients, since heat will be removed faster from hotter parts of the disk. Airflow cooling should be effective to reduce the risk of hot spot formation and disc thermal distortion. The highest temperature after emergency braking was 461 °C and 359 °C without and with considering airflow cooling, respectively. The equivalent stress could reach 269 MPa and 164 MPa without and with considering airflow cooling, respectively. However, the maximum surface stress may exceed the material yield strength during an emergency braking, which may cause a plastic damage accumulation in a brake disk without cooling. The simulation results are consistent with the experimental results well.展开更多

We first discretize the differential equation of the secondary potential field with mixed boundary conditions by using a seven-point finite-difference method to obtain a large sparse system of linear equations. Then, we introduce the theory behind the pairwise aggregation algorithms for AGMG and use the conjugate-gradient method with the V-cycle AGMG preconditioner (AGMG-CG) to solve the linear equations. We use typical geoelectrical models to test the proposed AGMG-CG method and compare the results with analytical solutions and the 3DDCXH algorithm for 3D DC modeling (3DDCXH). In addition, we apply the AGMG-CG method to different grid sizes and geoelectrical models and compare it to different iterative methods, such as ILU-BICGSTAB, ILU-GCR, and SSOR-CG. The AGMG-CG method yields nearly linearly decreasing errors, whereas the number of iterations increases slowly with increasing grid size. The AGMG-CG method is precise and converges fast, and thus can improve the computational efficiency in forward modeling of three-dimensional DC resistivity.展开更多

Two typical models of the geological bodies were designed, and forward calculation was carried out using finite element method. The forward-modeled profiles were obtained. 1% Gaussian random error was added in the forward models and then 2D and 3D inversions using a high-density resistivity method were undertaken to realistically simulate field data and analyze the sensitivity of the 2D and 3D inversion algorithms to noise. Contrast between the 2D and 3D inversion results of least squares inversion shows that two inversion results of high-density resistivity method all can basically reflect the spatial position of an anomalous body. However, the 3D inversion can more effectively eliminate the influence of interference from Gaussian random error and better reflect the distribution of resistivity in the anomalous bodies. Overall, the 3D inversion was better than 2D inversion in terms of embodying anomalous body positions, morphology and resistivity properties.展开更多

The 3DLS is based on existing high-resolution laterolog array and azimuthal resistivity imaging sondes with radial, longitudinal, and circumferential detection abilities. Six investigation modes are designed using the 3D finite-element method and different investigation depths are simulated based on the pseudo-geometrical factor of the six modes. The invasion profile is described using multi-array radial logs. From the analysis of the pseudo-geometrical factor, the investigation depth of the 3D-LS is about 1.5 m for conductive invasion, which is close to that of the dual laterolog tool but greater than that of the highly integrated azimuthal laterolog sonde. The vertical and azimuthal resolution is also analyzed with the same method. The 3DLS can detect low-resistivity anomalies of 0.5 m thickness and 15? around the borehole for infinitely thick formations. This study lays the foundation for more work on 3D laterolog array sonde for evaluating low-resistivity anomalies.展开更多

The experimental result reveals that the characteristic of two body abrasive wear and oxidation wear mechanisms are present for SiCn/2618 Al composite under higher load and sliding speed. SiC ceramic continuous network as the reinforcement can avoid composite from the third body wear that usually occurs in traditional particle reinforced composite. The mechanically mixed layer (MML) controls greatly the wear rate and friction coefficient of the composites. The composites tested at higher sliding speed exhibit higher value of friction coefficient and fluctuation, which is associated with the intermittent formation and removal of the MML. The wear and stress—strain behaviors of SiCn/Fe–40Cr against SiCn/Al 2168 at 30-105 m/s under 1.0-2.5 MPa were analyzed by finite element method with the software Solidwork2012 Simulation, respectively. The wear and stress–strain behavior of the composite predicted by the FEM correlated well with the experimental results.展开更多

The AGMG-CG method is precise and converges fast, and thus can improve the computational efficiency in forward modeling of three-dimensional DC resistivity.
文摘To resolve the deformation problem for thin-walled aero-parts in the actual production, this paper simulates the effect of the tool-path on the machining accuracy of the thin-walled frame. The frame is shaped in the part milling under a given clamping condition by using the three-dimensional finite element method (FEM). Result shows that the sidewall deformation has a big difference if only the tool-path changes. When the tool-path from the outside to the inside is used, the machining deformation is smaller than another three kinds of toolpaths. Simulation results are compared with experimental data, and the correctness of the simulation is verified.Reasonable processing paths can be found by FEM.

文摘To investigate the workpiece curvature influence on groove deformation, numerical studies with curvature varying from negative to positive were conducted on copper material.Groove deformations were analyzed, including groove geometry, effective stress distribution and plough force. The curled groove shape whose workpiece curvature was 0.133 mm-1 was validated by experiments. Moreover,a series of geometry models with various curvatures were introduced to analyze the change of groove deformation. The results show that positive curvatures influence groove deformation more intensively than negative or zero curvature. It is mainly due to the action of the tool forming face during plough process.
文摘To minimize the reactive power of the converter of the control winding in the novel dual stator-winding induction generator based on the PWM converter, design features of the induction generator with a rectified load are proposed. The optimization method of excited capacitors to minimize the reactive power of the control winding at a variable speed is given. The calculation capacity of the machine with a diode bridge rectifier load is proposed. To achieve global searching, the integrated method with the improved real-coded genetic algorithm and the twodimensional finite element method (FEM) is introduced. Design results of the sample show that reactive power can be reduced by the method, and the converter capacity can be decreased to 1/3 of output rated power at the speed ratio of 1 : 3, thus reducing the volume and the mass of the inverter.

文摘The 2D data processing adopted by the high-density resistivity method regards the geological structures as two degrees, which makes the results of the 2D data inversion only an approximate interpretation;the accuracy and effect can not meet the precise requirement of the inversion. Overall, the 3D inversion was better than 2D inversion in terms of embodying anomalous body positions, morphology and resistivity properties.

文摘A new three-dimensional laterolog array sonde(3D-LS) is presented. This study lays the foundation for more work on 3D laterolog array sonde for evaluating low-resistivity anomalies.

文摘The dry friction and wear behaviors of co-continuous composites SiC/Fe–40Cr against SiC/Al 2618 alloy were investigated on a ring-on-ring friction and wear tester at sliding speed of 30-105 m/s under the load of 1.0-2.5 MPa. The wear and stress–strain behavior of the composite predicted by the FEM correlated well with the experimental results.
