A compact transmit/receive switch for 2.4 GHz reader-less active RFID tag transceiver

Radio frequency identification(RFID) is a ubiquitous identification technology nowadays. An on-chip high-performance transmit/receive(T/R) switch is designed and simulated in 0.13-μm CMOS technology for reader-less RFID tag. The switch utilizes only the transistor width and length(W/L) optimization, proper gate bias resistor and resistive body floating technique and therefore,exhibits 1 d B insertion loss, 31.5 d B isolation and 29.2 d Bm 1-d B compression point(P1d B). Moreover, the switch dissipates only786.7 n W power for 1.8/0 V control voltages and is capable of switching in 794 fs. Above all, as there is no inductor or capacitor used in the circuit, the size of the switch is 0.00208 mm2 only. This switch will be appropriate for reader-less RFID tag transceiver front-end as well as other wireless transceivers operated at 2.4 GHz band.

A comparative study of organic agriculture development between China and South Korea

Human activities including modern agriculture have caused environmental pollution, so people begin to pay attentton to safe food. As a result, organic agriculture has emerged. Organic agriculture in South Korea （hereinafter referred as Korea） and China has developed rapidly since the appearance of organic agriculture in 1970s and 1980s respectively. Organic agriculture in China and Korea has developed steadily through agricultural support policies, certification management, institutions construction etc. In the development of organtc agriculture, China and Korea are now facing some technical and extension problems. In general however the development of organic agriculture in China lags behind Korea. China can learn from the experience about the development of organic agriculture in Korea to solve contradiction between development of organic agriculture and food safety, to strengthen the organic food certification, to introduce a system of agricultural direct payment and other positive measures, thus will guarantee steady and healthy development of organic agriculture in China.

Study on the Built-up Effect of Inorganic Compounds to Flame Retardant Containing Organophosphorus in Suppression of Smoke

The built-up effect of inorganic compounds containing more active metal ions, such as Ca^2＋ , Al^3＋ , Cu^2＋ , and Zn^2＋ , as additives adding to phosphorus-containing flame retarding systems in suppression of smoke was studied. The data presented herein suggested that the amount of smoke in the burning process can be better suppressed after the cotton fabric finishing with built-up system was burnt. Some general principles were identified, and the likely causes of the observed effects were analyzed according to test data.

Immune checkpoint therapy for pancreatic cancer

Novel treatment modalities are necessary for pancreatic cancer. Immunotherapy with immune checkpoint inhibition has shown effect in other solid tumors, and could have a place in pancreatic cancer treatment. Most available clinical studies on immune checkpoint inhibitors for pancreatic cancer are not yet completed and are still recruiting patients. Among the completed trials, there have been findings of a preliminary nature such as delayed disease progression and enhanced overall survival after treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors in mono- or combination therapy. However, due to small sample sizes, major results are not yet identifiable. The present article provides a clinical overview of immune checkpoint inhibition in pancreatic cancer. Pub Med, Clinical Trials.gov and American Society of Clinical Oncology's meeting abstracts were systematically searched for relevant clinical studies. Four articles, five abstracts and 25 clinical trials were identified and analyzed in detail.

Direct Marketing and Consumer Trust in Organic Food Products： Vilnius （Lithuania） Case

The market of organic food products has a continuous upward trend though the growth rate and sale channels in individual countries are rather different. This research aims to identify the key factors that influence consumers＇ choice to buy organic food products in Lithuania focusing on the consumer trust in the quality and the most acceptable marketing channels. In order to get the necessary information, the residents of Vilnius （the capital of Lithuania）, as having the greatest potential for the organic food market in the country, were interviewed. The analysis of collected data was done using the methods of mathematical statistics and comparison of relative frequencies. The results of this research prove the increasing consumers＇ interest in organic food products. The majority of consumers consider these products to be healthier, better-tasting and fresher. Only about a third of the purchasers （usually buying frequently） can see differences between organic and non-organic products, therefore, there is a problem to distinguish organic food from conventional products and, consequently, remains a possibility to cheat the consumer. An additional quality control and direct sales from known and familiar farmers might increase trust in the quality of organic food products. So far, supermarkets are the most important place to buy organic foods, however, the greater consumer confidence in the quality of organic products bought at farmers＇ markets and the acceptance of the majority of purchasers to buy organic food products directly from the farmers suppose the need to develop a direct marketing system.

Limits of Level 3 Fair Value Measurement： Based on Conceptual Framework

The IASB stated that in the review of the conceptual framework, if measurement uncertainty is very high, a measurement basis different from fair value may provide more appropriate information. Level 3 fair value measurements are inappropriate for areas （called ＂Level 4＂ by the author） in which models are not formulated and that have material uncertainty in measurement. The purpose of this paper is to elucidate ＂measurement uncertainty＂, which impacts ＂faithful representation＂ in fair value measurement, from the perspective of ＂verifiability＂. To do so, it will employ a conceptual examination of the limits of Level 3 fair value measurement based on IFRS 13 （Fair Value Measurement）. While taking into consideration recent discussions on reviewing conceptual framework, the author will reorganize the conceptual categories of verifiability （i.e., clarification of the ＂reasonable verifiability＂ categories） to underpin the fact that material uncertainties in measurement have obstructed constructing faithful representation. In addition, the author will discuss the problem that the dichotomy of direct and indirect found in IASB is not accurate enough to fully understand the concept of verifiability. In this context, the author will also suggest that the concept of verifiability, reorganized through ＂reasonable verifiability＂, can satisfy the requirements for constructing faithful representation.

A clinical analysis of nutritional therapy in 157 cases with advanced malignancy

Objective： The aim of this study was to evaluate clinical efficacy of nutritional therapy with Kabiven PI and w-3 fish oil fat emulsion on advanced stage of malignant tumor, Methods： One hundred and fifity-seven patients with advanced stage of malignant tumor were performed parenteral nutrition and enteral nutritional adjunctive therapy with Kabiven PI and w-3 fish oil fat emulsion （according to the amount to heat of 20 kcal/kg a day and the nitrogen of 7g/m2.SA）. Results： The ECOG ≥ 3 of 103 cases, therapy interval 2-3 weeks, declined 1 score. 28 were performed with chemotherapeutics under nutritional therapy 2-4 periodical. 25 of 26 died were dead for cancer cachexia and multiple organ failure. Survival time was 2-7 months, No serious complications occurred in all patients, Conclusion： The symptom and quality of life of advanced stage of malignant tumor were obviously improve by nutritional therapy. The opportunity for therapy tumor was offered. It is a important method on combined therapy of malignant tumor.

Latidens salimalii （Endemic, Endanger Fruit Bat） A Reliable Propagator of Endemic Trees of Southern Western Ghats

Salim Ali＇s fruit bat （Latidens salimalii） is Endemic to Southern Western Ghats. India and is classified as Endangered by IUCN. Latidens is morphologically adapted to play a major role in the propagation of economically important trees： some of them are endemic to southern Western Ghats. This paper describes and documents, the bat＂s ecology, foraging behavior and food selection. The study is based on the dietary details of the discovered populations of L. salimalii in the Agasthiyar hill range and the High Wavy Mountains of southern Western Ghats, India. Seeds. partially eaten fruits and seedlings germinated on the floor of the feeding roosts confirm this bat forage for fruits among relatively tall trees of evergreen forests in an elevation above 900 meter. Mist netting below and above canopy near the fruiting and flowering trees of their foraging area confirmed their interaction with certain endemic tree species. Their species specific dietars＇ preferences immensely help to restore and bring back the natural forest community structures.

Simulation of Tunable Power Multimode Interference Couplers with Deep Rib Structure

The muhimode interference （MMI） couplers, which operate at 1. 55 microns in deep rib InGaAsP/InP waveguide with large lateral confinement and tunable power splitting ratios, are of high interest in integrated optics. The gold contacts are applied on the top of waveguides where tuning is desired and the plasma effect will lead to negative refractive index change. The three-dimensional （3D） finite difference beam propagation method（FD-BPM） is used to model the tunable MMI couplers. The length of a 2 × 2 overlap-MMI is determined by FD-BPM, so the longitudinal position of tuning spots is obtained. The position of gold contacts with two types, the edge-pads or center-pad, are also determined. In our design, the length of MMI is 180 microns. If the width of pads is 50 microns and the refractive index is tuned from 0 to -0. 027, the power ratio is tuned from 50 ： 50 to the maximum 88.5 ： 11.4. For deep rib structure, the effective index（EI） method can not be used to simplify the 3D waveguide to plane waveguide because of its lower precision, and so the direct 3D FD-BPM simulation is necessary for the design of 3D MMI couplers.

Compare Differences Between Different Bible Translations in the View of Globalization： Illustrated by the Case of “ψυχη” in the New Testament

The purpose of Bible translation is to enable readers to fully understand what the Bible says in their own context. The different Bible translations use different translation principles, therefore, they show different translated results from each other. In general, translators will make translation choices between the “word-for-word translation” and “sense-for-sense translation”. A good translation usually has two translation choices and the difference is just which kind of choice to use more. In addition to this, whether the same word can be translated consistently is also worthy of being discussed, especially in the case of a proper noun or vocabulary with special meaning. If a vocabulary with special meaning in the Bible is translated into different words, it is not only impossible to clarify the conceptual connection or logical relationship between certain words in the Bible, but also makes it possible for readers who read different Bible translations to have the different understanding of the vocabulary. Under the influence of globalization, Christian communication has become more frequent. After different readers read different Bible translations, the problem of inconsistent understanding of the same word or paragraph will be gradually revealed. This article uses the Greek word “ψυχη” to explore the above issues. “ψυχη” is a vocabulary with special meaning in the New Testament and it is mostly discussed in the anthropology of Christian theology. This article compares three English Bible translations and six Chinese Bible translations on the Greek word “ψυχη” and then finds that the Greek word “ψυχη was translated into multiple different words in a single Bible translation and in different Bible translations. This situation shows that the difference in translation may make the readers of different Bible translations have different understandings after reading.

Study on mechanism of circumferential cracks in cold-region tunnels

There exists frost damage in cold-region tunnels. The circumferential cracks affect the function of tunnels. Using three-dimensional finite element method, the authors analyzed the mechanism of circumferential cracks in cold-region tunnels It is proved that the internal thermal stress in lining exceeds the tensile strength of concrete, which is the direct cause for circumferential cracks occurring. The laws of thermal stress in lining induced by parameters such as temperature drop, horizontal drag coefficient and length of lining are analyzed. The conclusions are valuable to the design and construction of cold-region tunnels considering the thermal stress.

Beneficial effects of fucoidan in patients with chronic hepatitis C virus infection

AIM:To evaluate the effects of fucoidan,a complex sulfated polysaccharide extract from marine seaweed,on hepatitis C virus(HCV) RNA load both in vitro and in vivo.METHODS:HCV-1b replicon-expressing cells were cultured in the presence of fucoidan obtained from Cladosiphon okamuranus Tokida cultivated in Okinawa,Japan,and quantified the level of HCV replication.In an open-label uncontrolled study,15 patients with chronic hepatitis C,and HCV-related cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma were treated with fucoidan(0.83 g/d) for 12 mo.The clinical symptoms,biochemical tests,and HCV RNA levels were assessed before,during,and after treatment.RESULTS:Fucoidan dose-dependently inhibited the expression of HCV replicon.At 8-10 mo of treatment with fucoidan,HCV RNA levels were significantly lower relative to the baseline.The same treatment also tended to lower serum alanine aminotransferase levels,and the latter correlated with HCV RNA levels.However,the improved laboratory tests did not translate into significant clinical improvement.Fucoidan had no serious adverse effects.CONCLUSION:Our findings suggest that fucoidan is safe and useful in the treatment of patients with HCVrelated chronic liver diseases.Further controlled clinical trials are needed to confirm the present findings.

Agent-Based Simulation for Analyzing Network Formation with Learning Dynamics

In game theoretic context, it is assumed that the decision maker has the extraordinary skills of reasoning and calculation. This assumption is called ＂perfect rationality＂. A player with perfect rationality can solve complex problems without making mistakes. However, recently, many studies have restricted this rationality or the structure of game. These restrictions are called ＂bounded rationality.＂ The authors also focus on bounded rationality, but with learning dynamics and complex networks. A complex network covers a wide area. Currently, a wide range of studies have not only investigated network formation and the characteristics of a formed network, but also analyzed situations where a network is already provided. In addition, in an analysis using game theory, a prisoners＇ dilemma type game was used to investigate how a change in the network structure would affect the players＇ relationships Therefore, our model employs decision makers with learning dynamics and describes the interaction of decision makers as a network. The purpose of this study is to examine the behavior of the decision maker with learning dynamics and the formation of networks by the interaction of decision makers through an agent-based simulation.

老年髋关节置换术应用不同麻醉方式的价值探析

目的探讨老年髋关节置换术应用不同麻醉方式的价值。方法回顾2016年1月—2017年2月84例老年髋关节置换术患者并分组。对照组用全麻方式,研究组用腰硬联合麻醉方式。比较两组老年髋关节置换术麻醉优良率;麻醉起效时间、麻醉后心率、血压变化;麻醉不良事件出现率。结果研究组老年髋关节置换术麻醉优良率高于对照组,P<0.05;研究组麻醉起效时间、麻醉后心率、血压变化优于对照组,P<0.05;研究组麻醉不良事件出现率低于对照组,P<0.05。结论老年髋关节置换术应用腰硬联合麻醉的价值高,可更快起效,稳定生命体征,减少并发症发生,安全和可行性高。

Regularity for Euler-Bernoulli Equations with Boundary Control and Collocated Observation

This paper studies the regularity of Euler-Bernoulli equations on a bounded domain of Rn(n≥2)with boundary controls and collocated observations.The authors consider the Dirichlet controls in the case of hinged and clamped boundary controls respectively.It is shown that the systems are regular in the sense of G.Weiss.The feedthrough operators are founded to be zero.
