Positions and Widths of Anticrossings for Potassium Rydberg Stark States

The B-spline expansion technique is applied to study the anticrossings for potassium Rydberg states in a static electric field. The results of our calculation indicate that the antierossings are caused mainly by the core interaction or by the fine structure interaction. Our results for the positions and the widths of the anticrossings are in good agreement with experimental data.

Use of Spatial Technologies to Study the Winds＇ Directions in Rub＇ AI-Khali Desert, Saudi Arabia

Studying environmental phenomenon in Rub＇ Al-Khali （Arabic name of＂Empty Quarter＂）, as one of the largest deserts in the world, requires adopting some advanced spatial technologies in conjunction with the data recorded in the field in order to device better understanding. The paper utilizes the technologies of GIS （geographical information systems） and RS （remote sensing） in order to study large amount of weather data recorded in the field from different sources related to oil and gas industry in Rub＇ AI-Khali desert. The main objective is to identify the wind directions and its movement in Kidan areas and the areas south and east of Shaybah in Rub＇ Al-Khali desert. The study used different sources of data mainly recorded by the seismic campaigns＇ base camps and the drilling rig camps or the civil works camps. Wind Roses were created for all metrological weather stations in the study area. Also, the study tried to analyze the dune types using satellite imageries and identify the relation of its shapes to the wind direction. The final aim of the result of this study is to help in planning best locations to build facilities for new major oil and gas project.

Uzbek ＂Makoms＂ in the 21 st Century

Meaning of the concept of＂makom＂ is hard to define with some frames and borders. Thus, German researcher Yu. Elzner provided more than 20 meanings of this word translated from Arabic. Music experts have decided in favor of the definition of word makom as ＂mode and genre＂. Establishment of makom as a genre had taken place approximately from 12th to 18th centuries. However, evolution of a mode system, had occurred much earlier. Makom art of Uzbekistan is a heritage, which had been formed over the long period. However, it has not yet reached its completion, it still keeps living and being filled with a new emotional mood, new image contents. Swift development of computer technology and communication means creates opportunities both for researchers and for performers to improve the phenomenon of the makom arts. Organization of various contests and festivals in Uzbekistan, makom performers＇ participation in foreign forums represents great incentives for showing the western interest in this arts and its integration into the global music science.

Innovative Development and Commercialization of Technologies： Experience of Technopark ＂Novosibirsk＂

This article is concerned with analyzes of experience of Technopark ＂Novosibirsk＂ as an important part of the innovation infrastructure of the Novosibirsk region. In this article the authors are formulated priorities for the development of an innovative economy： The promotion of investment growth in production infrastructure and innovation, increasing the orientation of research institutions to the needs of the real economy, the development of entrepreneurship in all sectors of the economy and the creation of necessary conditions. The article considers the key elements of innovation infrastructure. Also program ＂Development of high-tech industry and which Technopark ＂Novosibirsk＂ implements the this article is given a brief description of the complex target innovation in the industry to the city of Novosibirsk in 2020＂, in concept of technopark of distributed type, when the Technopark is built in the form of structural and autonomous innovation and technology centers established by the territorial-branch principle in conjunction with partner organizations. The analysis of the stories of success （and failure） of residents of Technopark is described in this article. Based on this analysis, which highlights the main factors contributing to the achievement of commercially meaningful results. These include training as an essential component of the innovation infrastructure. Describes the international educational programs implemented by the Innovative Technology Center ＂Education＂ at the Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management. It is noted that the most important result of the operation of Technopark ＂Novosibirsk＂ was working out a model of public-private partnership that has allowed Technopark flourish, creating a network of specialized centers of innovation and technology. Finally the authors conclude that at the present time in Russia on almost all the basic elements of support for innovative entrepreneurship are created. At the same time a significant part of the difficulties cause problems originating from the external environment of business innovation

A Variety of Cultures Represented in English Language Textbooks： A Critical Study at Saudi University

Textbooks material is one of the important issues that are worthy to investigate in order to enrich student＇s engagement and interaction in EFL （English as a Foreign Language） classrooms. In this study, the author argues that textbooks materials used in academic institutions may well take a significant part in generating an active environment in EEL classrooms. It is believed that more opportunities will be created for students to be more involved, active, and able to understand the content being addressed more effectively. Yet, by looking at the textbooks being utilised （at a university context where the author teaches）, one can notice that student＇s culture （Eastern） is to a large extent missing in these textbooks, most of these books instead represent dominantly ＂Western＂ culture namely American and British cultures. This can deafly be depicted by topics discussed, pictures, clothing, names, and many other issues portrayed in these textbooks. This study is an attempt to challenge and problematize such domination of Western cultures portrayed in the content of English textbooks used in academic institutions not merely within Saudi Arabia but also extended to other countries and nations in the world.

Clever Nuclear Fuel Technology

The purpose of given article-consideration of the basic features of modern manufacturing of nuclear fuel which would confirm fact, that the manufacturer does everything that its production would respond not only to requirements of the consumer, but also to its expected inquiries, and would correspond to intended purposes of fuel. It was defined main tendencies and features of modern technology, especially in nuclear fuel production, on base of meeting discussions, themes of journal articles on nuclear subject. They are correspond with practice of JSC NCCP （Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrates Plant） and listed in the paper. In result of it number of base features of any advanced technology, not only nuclear, described here with examples from NCCP＇s practice. Of course, there is no certain list of all attributes of modern manufacturing as there is no limit to its perfection. These categories are forming by current needs of the market, but listed ones must be.

Who Are the Tsanars？

The present paper is an attempt to identify the terms ＂Tsanars＂ and ＂Sanars＂. The issue remains one of the controversial issues in the scholarly literature. Due to different interpretations of the same sources, scholars come to different conclusions concerning the proper derivation of the terms, the ethnic affinity of Tsanars, their location or migration, and the priority of the evidence in the sources. Since the divergence in conclusions is caused by differing interpretations of the information preserved in Greek, Georgian, Armenian, and Arabic sources, the author of the present paper traces all the relative evidence of existing sources as well as the comments made by their publishers and researchers. The supposition about the Chechen origin of Tsanars, as well as their migration from western or southern Georgia eastward, is critically examined. The author comes to a conclusion concerning the derivation of the terms from the Greek language and submits arguments for priority of the Georgian sources. Proceeding from the sources, the author thinks that the term Tsanars designated a conterminous population, settled along the northern border of Georgia named by the Greeks in the early centuries.

Hilbert-Huang transform based noise filtering for the identification of structural systems

This paper proposes an enhanced noise filtering technique to the Hilbert-Huang transformation technology for the identification of structural systems using vibration measurements. The Hilbert-Huang transformation technology is a set of superior algorithms non-stationary signals and also for analyzing non-linear and offers increased accuracy for linear and stationary signals. However, the signals are filtered by reconstruction from ＂＇selected＂ intrinsic mode functions （IMFs）, derived from the original signal through the empirical mode decomposition method. The proposed filtering technique offers the criterion for selecting the IMFs using the orthogonalization coefficient. In addition, a simple free vibration modal analysis has been resolved for the evaluation of the modal damping ratio. Through the enhanced filtering, it is possible to increase the accuracy for the estimation of the time-varying system＇s natural frequency and the damping ratio, indicative of the degree of damage, which helps an effective design of a control system.

Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Saudi Arabia through Smart Grid

Even though Saudi Arabia is the world＇s largest producer and exporter of petroleum and petroleum based products, it is also blessed with high potential of renewable energy sources like solar and wind. Untapped wind and solar energy sources, which are abundant throughout the kingdom, can be connected and optimally integrated into the grid through the use of smart grid technologies and the expansion of transmission facilities. Smart grid is an auto-balancing, self-monitoring power grid that accepts power from any source of fuel like oil, sun or wind and delivers electricity from suppliers to consumers. It helps to control the use of appliances in order to save energy, reduces cost and increase reliability. This paper describes the attributes of a smart grid and how these act as driving force to modernize the electrical power grid. The necessity of conservation of oil in Saudi Arabia is argued. Moreover, the vast availability of renewable energy sources like solar and wind in Saudi Arabia and advantages in utilizing these sources through smart grid technologies are advocated in this paper.

对古典写实油画的一些思考

作为一种世界性的绘画形式,油画至今已经有六七百年的历史了,产生过多种多样的风格流派。其中,诞生于"文艺复兴"时期的古典主义油画堪称是油画发展进程中的黄金时代,它的主导地位一直持续到印象派之前,历经四五百年,也可以说是西方艺术最具有艺术魅力的阶段之一。自19世纪末、20世纪初油画被引入中国也已有百年历程,其间写实主义油画也在跟随着时代的变化而不断发展着。在国内,古典写实主义油画的重镇是中央美术学院油画系第一工作室,一直秉承着对古典主义继承和发扬的理念。

Exact Controllability for the Fourth Order Schrdinger Equation

The boundary controllability of the fourth order Schr5dinger equation in a bounded domain is studied. By means of an L2-Neumann boundary control, the authors prove that the solution is exactly controllable in H-2（12） for an arbitrarily small time. The method of proof combines both the HUM （Hilbert Uniqueness Method） and multiplier techniques.

Local Gromov-Witten invariants and tautological sheaves on Hilbert schemes

We study the local Gromov-Witten invariants of O（k）⊕O（-k-2） → P1 by localization techniques and the Marino-Vafa formula, using suitable circle actions. They are identified with the equivariant Riemann-Roch indices of some power of the determinant of the tautological sheaves on the Hilbert schemes of points on the affine plane. We also compute the corresponding Gopakumar-Vafa invariants and make some conjectures about them.
