Besides, ways to implement discrete methods in both time domain and space domain during the solution of the problem are investigated. The Crank Nicolson scheme is utilized to attain the iterative format of time differential, after taking factors that can ensure both computation precision and stability into consideration. In this paper, the magnetic distribution in the end region of a turbogenerator in the case that the generator is affected by impact load is specified. As a result, it provides foundation for further study of electromagnetic force and electromagnetic vibration in the end region of the turbogenerator.展开更多

A 320 MW turbogenerator is taken as an example to specify the electromagnetic force of end region winding and therefore the vibration in the case that the generator is affected by impact load. Some conclusions are drawn on the basis of the specification. Vibration of windings under imaginary faults is simulated, so that the vibration law of the end winding of turbogenerator can be studied further. On the basis of this, the countermeasure against winding vibration can be advanced.展开更多

In the unit, the front and the rear runners counter-drive the inner and the outer armatures of the generator, respectively. Besides, the flow direction at the rear runner outlet must coincide with the direction at the front runner inlet, because the angular momentum change through the rear runner must coincides with that through the front runner. In this paper, the tandem runners work at on-cam conditions in keeping the induced frequency constant, to provide the hydroelectric unit for the power grid system. The output and the hydraulic efficiency are affected by the adjusting angles of the front and the rear blades. Both optimum angles giving the maximum output or efficiency were presented at the various discharge/head circumstances, accompanying with the turbine performances.展开更多

The chosen objective function was the cross section dimension of the system. In the optimization problem, the design equation for pitting resistance of a gear set was investigated and equations on moment equilibrium condition of a mechanic system including a V-belt and a helical gearbox with second-step double gear-sets and their regular resistance condition were analysed. Based on the results of the study, effective formulas for calculation of the partial ratios of the V-belt and a helical gearbox with second-step double gear-sets were proposed. By using explicit models, the partial ratios can be determined accurately and simply.展开更多

Based on vibration diagnosis and treatment for more than 10 units, some typical vibration faults were summarized, such as the vibration fluctuation of the high pressure (HP) rotor, abnormal vibration increases of the No.3 bearing pedestal and large vibration of the exciter rotor during its critical speed range. The vibration characteristics and the causes of faults and countermeasures were analyzed. Three applications for further illustration were given. The vibration fault identification method, control measures, and applications can provide a reference for vibration diagnoses and treatment of same type units.展开更多

To avoid this, it is important to predict the natural frequencies and modes of the end windings with finite elements. Due to the complex structure and unknown boundary conditions, the conventionally calculation of stator end windings has been very difficult and time consuming up to now. This paper describes the development of a full parameterized modeling tool, which allows a quick calculation of natural frequencies during the design phase of the generator. To keep the computing time low, it is important to find a way to get exact calculation results without detailed modeling of all pans. Additionally, special attention was paid to the active part, which has been replaced by spring-damper elements, and the determination of their stiffness via experimental modal analysis combined with finite element calculations.展开更多
