Aiming to improve the maneuver performance of the strapdown inertial navigation attitude coning algorithm a new coning correction structure is constructed by adding a sample to the traditional compressed coning correction structure. According to the given definition of classical coning motion the residual coning correction error based on the new coning correction structure is derived. On the basis of the new structure the frequency Taylor series method is used for designing a coning correction structure coefficient and then a new coning algorithm is obtained.Two types of error models are defined for the coning algorithm performance evaluation under coning environments and maneuver environments respectively.Simulation results indicate that the maneuver accuracy of the new 4-sample coning algorithm is almost double that of the traditional compressed 4-sample coning algorithm. The new coning algorithm has an improved maneuver performance while maintaining coning performance compared to the traditional compressed coning algorithm. 展开更多

A novel twin-rotor piston engine (TRPE) mechanism with high volumetric output and power density was introduced. This new engine comprises an energy conversion system and a differential velocity drive mechanism (DVDM). Two special geared four-bar mechanisms, DVDM-1 and DVDM-2, were utilized and compared. Based on the closed loop vector method, a mathematical model for position, velocity, and acceleration of the two mechanisms was established. Numerical examples illustrate that the kinematic characteristics were presented. Expression of the displacement and compression ratio of the two engine mechanisms were derived and compared. It is concluded that both DVDM-1 and DVDM-2 adopted in the proposed TRPE with six vane pistons create thirty-six power strokes per revolution of the output shaft, and the summation of two angles covered by each rocker is always 2x/N as the output shaft rotates an angle of x/N. In DVDM-1, the span angle of a vane piston should be designed to be 10.2°, and the compression ratio should be equal to 10; in DVDM-2, the span angle of a vane piston should be designed to be 10.6°, and the compression ratio should be equal to 4.3. 展开更多

Syntheses of cam profile designs and dynamics of cam designs are studied at first. Then, a cam profile design optimization model based on the six order classical spline and single DOF(degree of freedom) dynamic model of single-dwell cam mechanisms is developed. And dynamic constraints such as jumps and vibrations of followers are considered. This optimization model, with many advantages such as universalities of applications, conveniences to operations and good performances in improving kinematic and dynamic properties of cam mechanisms, is good except for the discontinuity of jerks at the end knots of cam profiles which will cause vibrations of cam systems. However, the optimization is improved by combining the six order classical spline with general polynomial spline which is the so-called "trade-offs". Finally, improved optimization is proven to have a better performance in designing cam profiles. 展开更多

In order to achieve the desired high acowacy, nonlinear factors as friction nmst be accurately compensated in the real-time servo control algoritinn. In this paper, the model of a hybrid five-bar mechanism is introduced. In terms of the characteristics of the hybrid mechanism, a hybrid intelligent control algorithm based on proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control and cerebellar model articulation control techniques was presented and used to perform control of hybrid five-bar mechanism for the lust time. The sinmulation results show that the hybrid control method can improve the control effect remarkably, compared with the traditional PID control strategy. 展开更多

A motion parameter optimization method based on the objective of minimizing the total energy consumption in segment positioning was proposed for segment erector of shield tunneling machine. The segment positioning process was decomposed into rotation, lifting and sliding actions in deriving the energy calculation model of segment erection. The work of gravity was taken into account in the mathematical modeling of energy consumed by each actuator. In order to investigate the relationship between the work done by the actuator and the path moved along by the segment, the upward and downward directions as well as the operating quadrant of the segment erector were defined. Piecewise nonlinear function of energy was presented, of which the result is determined by closely coupled components as working parameters and some intermediate variables. Finally, the effectiveness of the optimization method was proved by conducting a case study with a segment erector for the tunnel with a diameter of 3 m and drawing comparisons between different assembling paths. The results show that the energy required by assembling a ring of segments along the optimized moving path can be reduced up to 5%. The method proposed in this work definitely provides an effective energy saving solution for shield tunneling machine. 展开更多

To date, all the infrared spectra reported are experimental, mainly because of the calculations needed to study these structures are highly time-consuming. In this report we address for the first time the infrared spectrum calculation of PCBM with Cs symmetry by using the PW91/dnp level as implemented in the Dmol3 code. In this calculation we have found two intense peaks in the IR spectrum, that agree fairly with the 1187 and 1787 cm^-1 measured experimentally. 展开更多

To extend electric vehicle (EV) running distance, the vehicle energy regeneration (ER) method and vehicle control strategy were designed based on the original vehicle braking system. The ER principle of direct current (DC) brushless motor was studied, the motor mathematical model and PI control method with torque close-loop were built. This control method was applied to pure EV and the real road tests were evaluated. The ER control does not make any significant uncomfortable influence brake feeling and can save about 10% battery energy based on 3 times economic commission for Europe (ECE) driving cycles. 展开更多

Experimental investigation was conducted to investigate the impingement heat transfer performance of a synthetic jet driven by piston actuator on a constant heat flux surface. Effects of jet formation frequency, nozzle-to-surface spacing ratio and con- jugation of cross flow were considered. The synthetic jet is of stronger penetration and heat transfer capacity when the piston reciprocates at relatively high frequency. Similar to the continuous jet impingement, nozzle-to-surface spacing ratio plays an important role in the heat transfer enhancement of synthetic jet. The optimum nozzle-to-surface spacing ratio corresponding to maximum heat transfer enhancement is considerably high in the synthetic jet, as compared to that in a continuous jet, which indicates that the synthetic jet introduces a stronger entrainment and more vigorous penetration in the surrounding fluid. The convective heat transfer capacity is enhanced significantly under the conjugate action of a synthetic jet and cross flow in com- narison with their individual action. 展开更多
