The responses increased linearly with the increase of OTC.HCl concentration in the range of 0.99-12.0 μM. The response mechanism of the sensor was also discussed.展开更多
The class of bi-directional optimal velocity models can describe the bi-directional looking effect that usually exists in the reality and is even enhanced with the development of the connected vehicle technologies. It...The class of bi-directional optimal velocity models can describe the bi-directional looking effect that usually exists in the reality and is even enhanced with the development of the connected vehicle technologies. Its combined string stability condition can be obtained through the method of the ring-road based string stability analysis. However, the partial string stability about traffic fluctuation propagated backward or forward was neglected, which will be analyzed in detail in this work by the method of transfer function and its H∞ norm from the viewpoint of control theory. Then, through comparing the conditions of combined and partial string stabilities, their relationships can make traffic flow be divided into three distinguishable regions, displaying various combined and partial string stability performance. Finally, the numerical experiments verify the theoretical results and find that the final displaying string stability or instability performance results from the accumulated and offset effects of traffic fluctuations propagated from different directions.展开更多
Africa is the most affected continent with energy poverty. Wood fuel is the main source of energy for remote and rural populations. At the same time, most parts of Africa are endowed with abundant solar energy. Togeth...Africa is the most affected continent with energy poverty. Wood fuel is the main source of energy for remote and rural populations. At the same time, most parts of Africa are endowed with abundant solar energy. Together with a highly developed global solar industry and ever declining cost of solar systems, solar has unprecedented potential to combat energy poverty in Africa. However, dissemination of solar systems is faced with a number of barriers and challenges amongst where sustainable financing and lack of technological support for installation, maintenance and repair of systems are the most significant. This paper discusses the cases of Botswana and Namibia where financing schemes based on different partnership models have been successfully implemented. These schemes have the potential for success and adaptation by countries with similar socio-economic conditions. We conclude with recommendations on training programs for different levels of intervention to overcome the lack of technological support.展开更多

The author's model includes synergy of artificial intelligence and augmented reality. This solution, which combines modem technologies in order to improve the activities related to the continuity of energy supply, and reduce costs associated with the time needed to carry out exploitation activities and employment of qualified staff, is presented. This paper presents both theoretical foundations as well as the development of technical systems. The characteristics of exploitation processes of energy systems and possible technical conditions, as well as factors characterizing them, are discussed. The physical and software structures of the system and individual modules, as well as dependencies connecting them are demonstrated. The dependencies between physical and logical elements during the exploitation processes of energy systems, that determine decisions related to the evaluation of technical states and related activities are described. The advantages and limitations of the developed model which connects methods of data processing and analysis, interactive visualization processes and possible areas of application are as well discussed in detailed.展开更多

The main purpose is to improve the level of China's ocean energy development. The Chinese ocean energy test field, which was started in 2008, involved a development divided in three phases (the overall design, construction, demonstration). The methodology followed in the individual phases is described, and the standardization of testing wave and tidal current energy devices is introduced. The research revealed the development and the shortage of ocean energy technology in China.展开更多
