Xinli district of Sanshandao Gold Mine is the first subsea metal mine in China.To achieve 6 kt/d production capacity under the premise of safe mining,high-intensity mining might destroy the in-situ stress filed and th...Xinli district of Sanshandao Gold Mine is the first subsea metal mine in China.To achieve 6 kt/d production capacity under the premise of safe mining,high-intensity mining might destroy the in-situ stress filed and the stability of rockmass.According to sampling and testing of ore-rock and backfill and in-situ stress field measurement,safety factor method calculation model based on stress-strain strength reduction at arbitrary points and Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion was established and limit displacement subsidence values under the safety factor of different limit stoping steps were calculated.The results from three years in-situ mining and strata movement monitoring using multi-point displacements meter showed that the lower settlement frame stope hierarchical level filling mining method,mining sequence are reasonable and rockmass stability evaluation using safety factor method,in-situ real-time monitoring can provide the technical foundation for the safety of seabed mining.展开更多

Nevertheless, resource management in MG is much more complicated than that in other grid applications due to the geographically distributed manufacturing resources, which range from CAD, CAPP and CAE to various kinds of machine tools. With the interaction of manufacturing grid information service (MGIS, developed by ourselves) and globus resource allocation manager (GRAM, provided by GT3), a resource management framework is presented to perform the functions of resource encapsulation, registry, discovery and monitoring. On the theoretical side, a coupling model of hydraulic support and surrounding rock, support pa- rameters optimization and threedimensional (3D) dynamic design method were presented. On the practical side, this paper out lined some of practical issues and discussed some relative methods and technologies. In thin seam coal longwall mining, how to lower equipment height is the first problem that should be solved. Roof pressure regularity, control of rooffall and collapse, and hydraulic support stability were investigated preferentially in 5-7 m coal seam longwall mining. The application of equip- ment for longwall mining with 5-7 m cutting height in China was concluded. The characteristics of full-mechanized top coal caving for extra thick seam coal were presented. The automation of top-caving hydraulic support and relevant equipment have achieved important breakthrough. At the end of this paper, further development of China's coal industry and longwall mining technologies and equipment were prospected in brief. This paper gives readers a comprehensive understanding of China's coal mine longwall face equipment technologies. It will give help to other countries on its coal mining development.展开更多

According to this background, strengthening the integrative research on the theories and methodologies of sustainable development has been a strategically important mission. This article provided an analytic framework for sustainability science, named the object-subject-process(OSP) framework for examining the key issues encountered during the theoretical research and policy analysis. This study emphasized that, on the object dimension, sustainable development means to seek for economic and social development within biophysical limits of the earth and the relationship of environment, society, and economy should be containing and complementary rather than parallel and substitute; on the process dimension, sustainable development should adopt both the responsive and proactive strategies for the whole process management which employing pressure-state-response(PRS) model rather than dealing with one part of them; on the subject dimension, sustainable development research should involve the key stakeholders who are kind of collaborate governance rather than separate each other. From the perspective of sustainability science, green economy was utilized as a case study to explore the issues of object, process and subject and also the significance of green economy was discussed in this study.展开更多
This paper designs and develops a framework on a distributed computing platform for massive multi-source spatial data using a column-oriented database(HBase).This platform consists of four layers including ETL(extract...This paper designs and develops a framework on a distributed computing platform for massive multi-source spatial data using a column-oriented database(HBase).This platform consists of four layers including ETL(extraction transformation loading) tier,data processing tier,data storage tier and data display tier,achieving long-term store,real-time analysis and inquiry for massive data.Finally,a real dataset cluster is simulated,which are made up of 39 nodes including 2 master nodes and 37 data nodes,and performing function tests of data importing module and real-time query module,and performance tests of HDFS's I/O,the MapReduce cluster,batch-loading and real-time query of massive data.The test results indicate that this platform achieves high performance in terms of response time and linear scalability.展开更多
In order to achieve the safe mining in Sanshandao Gold Mine,five schemes of secure pillar group are designed.Using the method of the renormalization group,the failure mechanism of the pillar group is explored,and the ...In order to achieve the safe mining in Sanshandao Gold Mine,five schemes of secure pillar group are designed.Using the method of the renormalization group,the failure mechanism of the pillar group is explored,and the safety factor of the pillar system is also obtained.The displacement characteristics,stress-strain laws,distribution of plastic zone and damage range of different pillar group are analyzed using numerical calculation software FLAC3D.To determine a reasonable pillar group scheme,the pillar stability and roof deformation are utilized to evaluate the safety of the pillar group.In addition,the theory of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is adopted to verify the optimal scheme.The pillar group with the lowest roof deformation value is chosen as the optimal plan,which renders a factor of safety of 2.06 for the pillar group.According to this scheme,pillars with the width of 10 m are set along the strike of undersea deposit with the interval of 50 m.Rib pillars of 15 m in width are set at the location of the exploration line of 127,151 and 167.The analysis can be used to provide guidance for optimal design of pillar structures in undersea mining.展开更多

Site-directed mutagenesis of the Y-domain (HEV SAR55) was carried out and studied in the replicon-baculovirus-hepatoma cell model. In vitro transcribed mRNA (pSK-GFP) constructs were transfected into S10-3 cells and viral RNA replicating GFP-positive cells were scored by flow cytometry. Mutant virions’ infectivity was assayed on naïve HepG2/C3A cells.RESULTSIn silico analysis identified a potential palmitoylation-site (C<sub>336</sub>C<sub>337</sub>) and an α-helix segment (L<sub>410</sub>Y<sub>411</sub>S<sub>412</sub>W<sub>413</sub>L<sub>414</sub>F<sub>415</sub>E<sub>416</sub>) in the HEV Y-domain. Molecular characterization of C<sub>336</sub>A, C<sub>337</sub>A and W<sub>413</sub>A mutants of the three universally conserved residues showed non-viability. Further, of the 10 consecutive saturation mutants covering the entire Y-domain nucleotide sequences (nts 650-1339), three constructs (nts 788-994) severely affected virus replication. This revealed the indispensability of the internal sequences but not of the up- or downstream sequences at the transcriptional level. Interestingly, the three mutated residues corresponded to the downstream codons that tolerated saturation mutation, indicating their post-translational functional/structural essentiality. In addition, RNA secondary structure prediction revealed formation of stable hairpins (nts 788-994) where saturation mutation drastically inhibited virion infectivity.CONCLUSIONThis is the first demonstration of the critical role of Y-domain sequences in HEV life cycle, which may involve gene regulation and/or membrane binding in intracellular replication complexes.展开更多

Optimizing the performance of cloud storage is very important for Internet development. This paper presents the performance evaluation of the open source distributed storage system, a highly available, distributed, eventually consistent object/blob store from Open Stack cloud computing components. This paper mainly focuses on the mechanism of cloud storage as well as the optimization methods to process different sized files. This work provides two major contributions through comprehensive performance evaluations. First, it provides different configurations for Open Stack Swift system and an analysis of how every component affects the performance. Second, it presents the detailed optimization methods to improve the performance in processing different sized files. The experimental results show that our method improves the performance and the structure. We give the methods to optimize the object-based cloud storage system to deploy the readily available storage system.展开更多
