Roundness is calculated from a large number of points collected from the profiles of the parts. According to the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measta- meat (GUM), all measurement results must have a stated uncertainty associated the titan. However, no CMMs give the uncertainty value of the roundness, because no suitable measrement uncertainty calculation procedure exists. In the case of roundness raeasurement in coordinate metrology, this paper suggests the algorithms for the calculation of the measurement uncertainty of the roudness deviation based on the two mainly used association criteria, LSC and MZC. The calculation of the sensitivity coefficients for the uncertainty calculatiion can be done by autnatic differentiation, in order to avoid introducing additional emars by the traditional difference quotient approxima- tions. It is found that the divergent behaviors of the susceptibility take the form of square of logarithm, in contrast with the global ground-state fidelity susceptibility which is power divergence. In order to perform a scaling analysis, we take the square root of the susceptibility and determine the scaling exponent analytically and the result is further confirmed by numerical calculations.展开更多

Vacuum enlarged with non-zero vevs of the neutral-even CP is the combination of Hu, Hd and S. In the NMSSM, the Higgs sector is increased to 7 (compared with 5 hogs in the MSSM), including three Higgs-which are the even-CP hi,2,3 (mh1〈 mh2〈 mh3), two Higgs-which are odd-CP a1,2 (ma1 〈 ma2) and a couple of charged Higgs H^±. In recent years, the Great East Japan Earthquake and large-scale disasters have occurred frequently in Japan. From this, development of the searching robot which supports the rescue team to perform a relief activity at a large-scale disaster is indispensable. Then, this research has developed the searching robot group system with two or more mobile robots. In this research, the searching robot equips with two omnidirectional cameras and an accelerometer. In order to perform distance measurement using two omnidirectional cameras, each parameter of an omnidirectional camera and the position and posture between two omnidirectional cameras have to be calibrated in advance. If there are few mobile robots, the calibration time of each omnidirectional camera does not pose a problem. However, if the calibration is separately performed when using two or more robots in a disaster site, etc., it will take huge calibration time. Then, this paper proposed the algorithm which estimates a mobile robot's position and the parameter of the position and posture between two omnidirectional cameras simultaneously. The algorithm proposed in this paper extended Nonlinear Transformation (NLT) Method. This paper conducted the simulation experiment to check the validity of the proposed algorithm. In some simulation experiments, one mobile robot moves and observes the circumference of another mobile robot which has stopped at a certain place. This paper verified whether the mobile robot can estimate position using the measurement value when the number of observation times becomes 10 times in n/18 of observation intervals. The result of the simulation shows the effectiveness of the algorithm.展开更多

Attributions of the particle on different cross-sections were determined by the ‘overlap area method’. And unified three-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system was established based on continuous slice images. The coefficient values of spherical harmonics descriptor representing particles surface profile were gained, then each scanned particle was represented by 60×120 discrete points conformably with spherical harmonics descriptor. The chord length and direction angles were determined by the calculation. With the major axis (L) and orthogonal axis (W and T), the calculated results were compared with those measured by caliper. It is concluded that the new L, W, and T dimension measuring method is able to take the place of the present manual measurement.展开更多

As the voltage on Constant Temperature hot-wire Anemometer (CTA) is non-linear function of velocity and angle of the fluid, inverse function is also non-linear and has several mathematically correct solutions. In the Laboratory of Non-linear Mechanics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana, the authors have decided to try developing multi-charmel hot-wire anemometer with constant temperature at which it is possible to select physically correct solutions from several mathematically correct solutions. The mathematical algorithm works correctly if the range of instrument operation is limited for the value of spherical angles |φ|≤ 60°and |ψ|'1 ≤ 58°.展开更多

Using the projective light-cone model, for those whose shape operators have three distinct real eigenvalues, we calculate the integrability conditions by constructing a scalar conformal invariant and a canonical moving frame in this paper. Similar to the Riemannian case, these hypersurfaces can be determined by the solutions to some system of partial differential equations.展开更多

The motivation of the paper is to extend the recent work Goldfarb et al.(2013) to cope with more generic convex minimization. For the proposed method, both the separable objective functions and the auxiliary penalty terms are linearized. Provided that the separable objective functions belong to C1,1(Rn), we prove the O(1/?) arithmetical complexity of the new method. Some preliminary numerical simulations involving image processing and compressive sensing are conducted.展开更多

Chiral effective field theory allows for a systematic and precise description of the forces between two, three and four nucleons. In this framework, variations under the light quark masses and the electromagnetic fine-structure constant can also be consistently calculated. Combining chiral nuclear effective field theory with Monte Carlo simulations allows to further calculate the properties of nuclei, in particular of the Hoyle state in carbon, that plays a crucial role in the gener- ation of the life-relevant elements in hot, old stars. The dependence of the triple-alpha process on the fundamental constants of nature is calculated, and some implications for our anthropic view of the Universe are discussed.展开更多
