Nonlinear modeling of a flexible beam with large deformation was investigated. Absolute nodal cooridnate formulation is employed to describe the motion, and Lagrange equations of motion of a flexible beam are derived based on the geometric nonlinear theory. Different from the previous nonlinear formulation with Euler-Bernoulli assumption, the shear strain and transverse normal strain are taken into account. Computational example of a flexible pendulum with a tip mass is given to show the effects of the shear strain and transverse normal strain. The constant total energy verifies the correctness of the present formulation. 展开更多

The normal forms of generalized Neimark-Sacker bifurcation are extensively studied using normal form theory of dynamic system. It is well known that if the normal forms of the generalized Neimark-Sacker bifurcation are expressed in polar coordinates, then all odd order terms must, in general, remain in the normal forms. In this paper, five theorems are presented to show that the conventional Neimark-Sacker bifurcation can be further simplified. The simplest normal forms of generalized Neimark-Sacker bifurcation are calculated. Based on the conventional normal form, using appropriate nonlinear transformations, it is found that the generalized Neimark-Sacker bifurcation has at most two nonlinear terms remaining in the amplitude equations of the simplest normal forms up to any order. There are two kinds of simplest normal forms. Their algebraic expression formulas of the simplest normal forms in terms of the coefficients of the generalized Neimark-Sacker bifurcation systems are given. 展开更多

Recognition Method of Aircraft Axis Direction Based on Morphological Skeleton and Hough Transform

Because of the limit of angle of view(AOV) of IR imaging seeker during the approach of missile and target, the detector can only get the partial image sequence of aircraft nose after "lose point". Recognizing the axis direction on the basis of partial IR image sequence is a key issue of the advanced IR imaging guide air-to-air missile faced. In this paper, a recognition method was proposed based on the morphological skeleton and modified Hough transform, and this method can recognize correctly the axis direction of aircraft nose in different poses during missile-target encounter. Firstly, the morphological skeleton transform was used for the extraction of skeleton features. Secondly, the modified Hough transform was used for the straight-lines detection. Finally, According to the relations between aircraft nose and axis and invariant of nose features in high-speed IR image sequence, the axis direction can be detected and calculated. Experimental results indicate that the method is feasible and effective, and the precision of axis direction recognized can meet the requirement of accurate burst control of GIF fuze. 展开更多
