Both researchers and managers have recently pointed out that the identification of correlation between different performmance indicators may lead to a better understanding of business. However, it is becoming more and more difficult to measure and analyze these indicators since the fast growing number of performance indicators and the complex relationships between them The existing categories failed to reflect these changes in an adequate way, and the quantitative analysis methods for identifying the characters of those pefformance indicators are still worthy of investigation. The main objective of this paper is to propose a practical methodology for managing and analyzing performance indicators in enterprises, which focuses on building up a performance indicator system and discovering the characters of those performance indicators by applying complex network methods. The empirical results of a telecommunieation enterprise show that the proposed method can be effective in understanding the correlations between performance indicators.展开更多

A signaling equilibrium algorithm was proposed to enhanc...A method was demonstrated based on Infomax independent component analysis(Infomax ICA) for automatically extracting auditory P300 signals within several trials. A signaling equilibrium algorithm was proposed to enhance the effectiveness of the Infomax ICA decomposition. After the mixed signal was decomposed by Infomax ICA, the independent component(IC) used in auditory P300 reconstruction was automatically chosen by using the standard deviation of the fixed temporal pattern. And the result of auditory P300 was reconstructed using the selected ICs. The experimental results show that the auditory P300 can be detected automatically within five trials. The Pearson correlation coefficient between the standard signal and the signal detected using the proposed method is significantly greater than that between the standard signal and the signal detected using the average method within five trials. The wave pattern result obtained using the proposed algorithm is better and more similar to the standard signal than that obtained by the average method for the same number of trials. Therefore, the proposed method can automatically detect the effective auditory P300 within several trials.展开更多

Estimation is performed based on the measuring scale for comparison of complexity of elements, and reaching a final conclusion on the complexity of elements in relation to other elements, through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Defined in this manner, the metrics represents a unique metrics for measuring the complexity of elements of business organization and business software, which enables their comparison. Even though radio broadcasting is one of the most widespread electronic mass media, its management for survival is getting drastic. The competition among incumbent radio stations becomes challenging due to the market ...Even though radio broadcasting is one of the most widespread electronic mass media, its management for survival is getting drastic. The competition among incumbent radio stations becomes challenging due to the market change and environmental evolution. Managing program quality is a critical issue to a radio station to sharpen its competitive advantages. Quality management of radio programs is intertwined with complicated factors. In order to identify the primary factors affecting radio program quality as well as explore the impact level these factors bring, this study adopts modified Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to explore the issues. According to the outcomes modified Delphi method, the factors were categorized into four dimensions: operation, coordination, structure, and improvement. Ten sub-dimensions were followed. Each sub-dimension includes six to nineteen indicators for measuring radio program quality. In total, 72 indicators were identified. The AHP result revealed that the most important weight was given to the operation dimension. On the contrary, the least important weight was placed on the improvement dimension. Among the sub-dimensions, the standard procedure and organizational design were rated more important than the rest. The results could provide some facts to radio managers for future management.展开更多
