Paclobutrazol could increase the single fruit weight in dif- ferent degree, and cytokinins could also increase the single fruit weight. GA3 and B9 had no effect on fruit size or on reducing single fruit weight. Chlorflurenol-methy, ABT and salicylic acid had no effect on fruit size. Suggestions on the future re- search were put forward.展开更多

The results showed that the 14 varieties of sweet cherry could be divided into two types, Hongmanao and Rainier. Fruit setting rate, branching rate, medium fruit shoot proportion, spur proportion and yield per plant were significantly different between these two types of sweet cherry. The key points of pruning management, to improve the yield of Rainier type, were to increase the fruit setting rate and spur proportion, and to control properly the long and medium fruit shoot proportion.展开更多

[Method] 50 male mice were divided into 5 groups equally and randomly and among them, the three groups were either negative,or model control,or positive control (ginseng saponins),respectively. Two remaining groups were orally fed with low and high dosages of CCS oil ((9 ml/(kg·d) and (33 ml/(kg·d)),respectively. All groups were injected D-galactose through hypodermic except the negative control ones which were only treated with equals amount of distilled water. The superoxide dismutase (SOD),maleic dialdehyde(MDA) and monoamine oxidase(MAO) were analyzed with blood sample and brain tissue 42 days post treatment. [Result] It was showed that the activity of SOD enzyme was increased in the CCS oil groups, while MDA and MAO content were decreased in the CCS oil groups compared with that of other groups with significance observed in the group fed with high dose of CCS oil. [Conclusion] The result indicated that the CCS oil has the ability of antioxidation and is useful to human health.展开更多

In the experiment we evaluated next rootstocks: Nemaguard (Prunus persica × Prunus davidiana), seedlings of GF 677 (Prunus persica ×Prunus amygdalus), hybrids BMVA 1, BMVA 2, VAF 215 and Autochthones type and GF 677 (Prunus persica × Prunus amygdalus) clonal. As control rootstocks in our experiment was used seedlings from vineyard peach (Prunus persica). The experiment was established with one year old trees from Redhaven variety. Agronomical characteristics (vegetative growth, occurrence of leaf chlorosis, tree mortality, yield, productivity and fruit quality) of the trees on different rootstocks have been measured over a twelve-year period (1999-2010). Significant differences on the level of P 〈 0.05 have been observed on vigour of the trees. The most vigorous trees were those on GF 677 clonal, GF 677 seedling and BMVA 2. The trees on Vineyard peach and Nemaguard was the weakest ones. The highest cumulative yield was recorded on GF-677 clonal rootstock, and the lowest on Nemaguard. Occurrence of chlorosis was the highest at Vineyard peach, Nemaguard and Autochthones hybrid, GF 677 clonal was the only rootstock without iron chlorosis. The percent of tree mortality to twelfth year was the highest at Autochthones hybrid (33.3), and at GF 677 clonal and BMVA 1 had not tree mortality.展开更多

The soil used for pot experiment was Chromosol. Wastewater sludge and sludge biochax produced through pyrolysis process at 550 ℃ were applied at 10 t ha-1. No significant difference was found in growth and production of cherry tomatoes between wastewater sludge and sludge biochar applications to the soil. The accumulation rates of metals in the fruits were lower in the treatment with sludge biochar than in the treatment with wastewater sludge. The study highlights the benefits of risk mitigation from toxic metal accumulation in fruits using wastewater sludge and sludge biochar as soil conditioners.展开更多
