In situ stress measurements and mechani...This paper presents an integrated investigation of the ground stability of a deep gateroad with a 1 km burial depth based on a field test, case studies, and numerical modelling. In situ stress measurements and mechanical properties tests were first conducted in the test site. Then, the deformation behavior, stress and yield zone distributions, as well as the bolts load of the gateroad, were simulated using FLAC3D software. The model results demonstrated that the soft rock properties and high in situ stress were the main factors for the deep gateroad instability, and the shear slip failure induced by the high stress was the primary failure model for the deep rock mass. In addition, the unsuitable support patterns, especially the relatively short bolts/cables with low pre-tensions, the lack of high-strengthen secondary supports and the unsupported floor strata, also contributed to the gateroad instability. Subsequently, a new combined supporting strategy, incorporating longer bolts/cables, yielding ring supports, and grouting measures, was proposed for the deep gateroad, and its validity was verified via field monitoring. All these could be a reference for understanding the failure mechanism of the gateroad with 1 km burial depth.展开更多
In view of the uncertainty and complexity,the intelligent model of rehabilitation training program for stroke was proposed,combining with the case-based reasoning(CBR) and interval type-2 fuzzy reasoning(IT2FR).The mo...In view of the uncertainty and complexity,the intelligent model of rehabilitation training program for stroke was proposed,combining with the case-based reasoning(CBR) and interval type-2 fuzzy reasoning(IT2FR).The model consists of two parts:the setting model based on CBR and the feedback compensation model based on IT2FR.The former presets the value of rehabilitation training program,and the latter carries on the feedback compensation of the preset value.Experimental results show that the average percentage error of two rehabilitation training programs is 0.074%.The two programs are made by the intelligent model and rehabilitation physician.That is,the two different programs are nearly identical.It means that the intelligent model can make a rehabilitation training program effectively and improve the rehabilitation efficiency.展开更多

To verify the algorithm effectiveness,the inner relation between its joint input torque and stability or chaotic and stable motion of the 2-DOF robotic arm system is analyzed quantitatively. As compared with its counterpart of Lyapunov's direct method,the main advantage of the concept of Lyapunov exponents is that the methods for calculating the exponents are constructive to provide an effective analysis tool for analyzing robotic arm system movement stability of nonlinear systems.展开更多

Here, we report a unique...While thiolate-protected Au nanoclusters (NCs) have drawn considerable interest in various fields, their poor stability in aqueous solution remains a major hurdle for practical applications. Here, we report a unique strategy based on ligand-shell engineering to improve the stability of thiolated Au NCs in solution. By employing two thiol-terminated ligands having oppositely charged functional groups on the surface of the NCs, we demonstrate that the electrostatic attraction between the oppositely charged functional groups of neighboring ligands could amplify the coordination among surface ligands, leading to the formation of pseudo-cage-like structures on the NC surface that could offer higher protection to the Au core in aqueous solution. The strategy developed in this study could be extended to toward practical applications. other metal NCs, further paving the way展开更多
