For the conventional single-ended eFuse cell, sensing failures can occur due to a variation of a post-program eFuse resistance during the data retention time and a relatively high program resistance of several kilo ohms. A differential paired eFuse cell is designed which is about half the size smaller in sensing resistance of a programmed eFuse link than the conventional single-ended eFuse cell. Also, a sensing circuit of sense amplifier is proposed, based on D flip-flop structure to implement a simple sensing circuit. Furthermore, a sensing margin test circuit is proposed with variable pull-up loads out of consideration for resistance variation of a programmed eFuse. When an 8 bit eFuse OTP IP is designed with 0.18 ~tm standard CMOS logic of TSMC, the layout dimensions are 229.04 μm ×100.15μm. All the chips function successfully when 20 test chips are tested with a program voltage of 4.2 V. 展开更多

The qualitative and quantitative assessment of gas flow has become increasingly relevant in the use of everyday systems. The micro flow sensor, developed by Innovative Sensor Technology AG (Switzerland), is by principle a calorimetric flow sensor produced as a micro system on a glass substrate by means of photolithography and glass etching technology. These structures are arranged as a platinum micro heater and sensor in a Wheatstone bridge. The subsequent etching process produces an exposed area of polyimide membrane that is only a few microns thick and includes the resistive sensor structure as the active area. In addition, the RTD (resistance temperature detector) technology included on the sensor allows for the implementation of a variety of electronic biasing and signal processing modes. Since the sensor can be powered and the bridge can be measured in both CTA (constant temperature anemometer) and calorimetric mode, new possibilities are presented for both low and high flow rates with regard to temperature compensation, self-calibration and self-monitoring. 展开更多

Ultra-low charge transfer resistance carbons by onepot hydrothermal method for glucose sensing

Hydrothermal carbon (HTC) is typically well- dispersed, but it remains a great challenge for HTC to become conductive. Co-doping with heteroatoms has been confirmed to be an effective strategy to significantly promote the electrical conductivity of carbon. Moreover, there is no simple and green method to construct sensitive HTC based electro- chemical biosensors until now. In this paper, N and S dual-doped carbon (NS-C) with ultra-low charge transfer resistance is easily synthesized from L-cysteine and glucose in a hydrothermal reaction system. The morphology, structural prop- erties and electrochemical properties of the as-prepared NS-C are analyzed. In comparison with the undoped hydrothermal (UC) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE), the charge transfer resistance of UC (476 Ω) is ten times the value of NS- C (46 Ω). The developed biosensor shows a better performance to detect glucose in a wide concentration range (50-2500 μmol L^-1) with the detection limit of 1.77 μmol L^-1 (S/N-3) and a high sensitivity (0.0554 μA cm^-2μmol^-1 L). The apparent Michaelis-Menten constant value of GCE/NS-C/GOx/nafion modified electrode is 0.769 mmol L^-1, indicating a high affinity of glucose oxidase to glucose. These results demonstrate that the hydrothermal method is an effective way for prepar- ing high electrical conductivity carbon with excellent performances in biosensor application. 展开更多
