Th...In order to effectively predict the fracture of AA7075-T6 sheet, the forming limit curves of AA7075-T6 high-strength sheet were drawn according to Morciniak Kuczyski (M K) model and Lou Huh criterion, respectively. The errors between the predicted values of the two theoretical prediction models and experimental values were calculated by error analysis. The forming limit curves were verified by the punch stretch test to evaluate the prediction accuracy of M K model and Lou Huh criterion. The error analysis results show that the mean error of Lou Huh criterion with the optimal parameters for all tensile specimens is 25.04%, while the mean error of M K model for all tensile specimens is 74.24%. The prediction accuracy of Lou Huh criterion in predicting the fracture of AA7075-T6 sheet is higher. The punch stretch test results show that the forming limit curve drawn by Lou Huh criterion can effectively predict the fracture of AA7075-T6 sheet, but the prediction accuracy of M K model is relatively poor.展开更多
The influence of initial groove angle on strain rate inside and outside groove of Ti6Al4V alloy was investigated.Based on the evolution of strain rate inside and outside groove,the effect of strain rate difference on ...The influence of initial groove angle on strain rate inside and outside groove of Ti6Al4V alloy was investigated.Based on the evolution of strain rate inside and outside groove,the effect of strain rate difference on the evolution of normal stress and effective stress inside and outside groove was also analyzed.The results show that when linear loading path changes from uniaxial tension to equi-biaxial tension,the initial groove angle plays a weaker role in the evolution of strain rate in the M-K model.Due to the constraint of force equilibrium between inside and outside groove,the strain rate difference makes the normal stress inside groove firstly decrease and then increase during calculation,which makes the prediction algorithm of forming limit convergent at elevated temperature.The decrease of normal stress inside groove is mainly caused by high temperature softening effect and the rotation of groove,while the increase of normal stress inside groove is mainly due to strain rate hardening effect.展开更多

Normal distribution, t distributi...GARCH-M ( generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity in the mean) model is used to analyse the volatility clustering phenomenon in mobile communication network traffic. Normal distribution, t distribution and generalized Pareto distribution assumptions are adopted re- spectively to simulate the random component in the model. The demonstration of the quantile of network traffic series indicates that common GARCH-M model can partially deal with the "fat tail" problem. However, the "fat tail" characteristic of the random component directly affects the accura- cy of the calculation. Even t distribution is based on the assumption for all the data. On the other hand, extreme value theory, which only concentrates on the tail distribution, can provide more ac- curate result for high quantiles. The best result is obtained based on the generalized Pareto distribu- tion assumption for the random component in the GARCH-M model.展开更多
The temporal variability and spatial pattern of the Arctic Oscillation(AO)simulated in the historical experiment of26 coupled climate models participating in the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5(CMIP5)are...The temporal variability and spatial pattern of the Arctic Oscillation(AO)simulated in the historical experiment of26 coupled climate models participating in the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5(CMIP5)are evaluated.Spectral analysis of the monthly AO index indicates that 23 out of the 26 CMIP5 models exhibit no statistically significant spectral peak in the historical experiment,as seen in the observations.These models are able to reproduce the AO pattern in the sea level pressure anomaly field during boreal winter,but the intensity of the AO pattern tends to be overestimated in all the models.The zonal-mean zonal wind anomalies associated with the AO is dominated by a meridional dipole in the mid-high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere during boreal winter,which is well reproduced by only a few models.Most models show significant biases in both strength and location of the dipole compared to the observation.In considering the temporal variability as well as spatial structures in both horizontal and vertical directions,the MPI-ESM-P model reproduces an AO pattern that resembles the observation the best.展开更多

These queue models consist of mathematical formulas and relationships that can be used to determine the operating characteristics (performance measures) for a waiting line. Schematic and transition diagrams of different single server queue models were shown. Relationships between birth-death processes, waiting lines (queues) and transition diagrams were given. While M/M/I/K queue model states was limited by K customers and had (K+I) states, M/M/1/1 queue model had only two states. M/G/1/∝/∝ and M/M/1/∝/∝ shared similar characteristics. A module can independently connect or disconnect with other modules, and then change its connection by collaborating with other modules. We discuss how to describe and discover configuration of robot. Furthermore, we describe its motion planning based on the appraisal function and the adjacency matrix which is effective to solve the computationally difficult problem and optimize the system motion path during the self-reconfiguration process. Finally, a simulation experiment is demonstrated, which verifies the correctness of locomotion method.展开更多

Resource provisioning is a critically important problem for AAL applications in cloud data centers(CDCs). This paper focuses on modeling and analysis of multi-tier AAL applications, and aims to optimize resource provisioning while meeting requests' response time constraint. This paper models a multi-tier AAL application as a hybrid multi-tier queueing model consisting of an M/M/c queueing model and multiple M/M/1 queueing models. Then, virtual machine(VM) allocation is formulated as a constrained optimization problem in a CDC, and is further solved with the proposed heuristic VM allocation algorithm(HVMA). The results demonstrate that the proposed model and algorithm can effectively achieve dynamic resource provisioning while meeting the performance constraint.展开更多
In order to overcome the inherent oscillation problem of potential field methods(PFMs) for autonomous mobile robots in the presence of obstacles and in narrow passages,an enhanced potential field method that integrate...In order to overcome the inherent oscillation problem of potential field methods(PFMs) for autonomous mobile robots in the presence of obstacles and in narrow passages,an enhanced potential field method that integrates Levenberg-Marquardt(L-M) algorithm and k-trajectory algorithm into the basic PFMs is proposed and simulated.At first,the mobile robot navigation function based on the basic PFMs is established by choosing Gaussian model.Then,the oscillation problem of the navigation function is investigated when a mobile robot nears obstacles and passes through a long and narrow passage,which can cause large computation cost and system instability.At last,the L-M algorithm is adopted to modify the search direction of the navigation function for alleviating the oscillation,while the k-trajectory algorithm is applied to further smooth trajectories.By a series of comparative experiments,the use of the L-M algorithm and k-trajectory algorithm can greatly improve the system performance with the advantages of reducing task completion time and achieving smooth trajectories.展开更多
