We demonstrate how model information, enriched with data at various LODs (levels of development), can evolve simultaneously with design and construction using different representation of a window object embedded in a wall as lifeeyele phase exemplars at different levels of granularity. The conceptual standpoint is informed by the need for exploring a methodological approach which extends beyond current limitations of current modelling platforms in enhancing the information content of BIM models. Therefore, this work demonstrates that BIM objects can be augmented with construction specification parameters leveraging product libraries.展开更多

After the introduction of its extensible function architecture, accompanied by the conclusion of implicit spatial-temporal hierarchy of models in any reconstructed scene of 3D GIS for general purpose, several key issues are discussed in detail, such as the storage and management of 3D models and related retrieval and load method, as well as the interfaces for further on-demand development. Finally, the validity and feasibility of this model database are proved through its application in the development of 3D visualization system of railway operation.展开更多

Precipitation and potential evapotranspiration are taken as the control conditions in this method on the basis of basin terrain classification. The objective of this method is to solve the question of a small-scale water conservancy project’s influence on flood forecasting precision, which can be used in the basin with multitudinous small reservoirs in the upstream region and can help estimate non-runoff data for small reservoir runoff. Taking the 20060826 flood as an example, the flood detention quantity of 19 small reservoirs is modeled. The results show that the absolute error of the total flood detention quantity is 0.2×10 4 m 3 , and the relative error is 0.12%. The flood detention quantity of small reservoirs in the entire basin is then modeled using this method, and the primary flood forecasting model is adjusted. After adjustment, the precision is significantly improved, with the relative error decreasing from 31.8% to 10.1%.展开更多

In this paper, firstly major experimental methods, which are employed to provide various diffusivity data, are briefly described. Secondly, the fun-damentals of various computational methods, including first-principles method, embedded atomic method/molecular dynamic simulation, semi-empirical approaches, and phenomenological DICTRA technique, are demonstrated. Diffusion models re- cently developed for order/disorder transitions and stoichiometric compounds are also briefly depicted. Thirdly, a newly estab- lished diffusivity database for liquid, fcc_A1, Lie, bcc_A2, bcc_B2, and interrnetallic phases in the multicomponent A1 alloys is presented via a few case studies in binary, ternary and quaternary systems. And the integration of various computational techniques and experimental methods is highlighted. The reliability of this diffusivity database is validated by comparing the calculated and measured concentration profiles, diffusion paths, and Kirkendall shifts in various binary, ternary and quaternary diffusion couples. Next, the established diffusivity databases along with thermodynamic and other thermo-physical properties are utilized to simulate the microstructural evolution for Al alloys during solidification, interdiffusion and precipitation. A spe- cial discussion is presented on the phase-field simulation of interdiffusion microstructures in a series of Ni-Al diffusion couples composed of γ, γ', and β phases under the effects of both coherent strain and external compressive force. Future orientations in the establishment of next generation of diffusivity database are finally addressed.展开更多

Most existing object recognition methods were designed with particular objects in mind. This study presents a general moving objects recognition method using global features of targets. Targets are extracted with an adaptive Gaussian mixture model and their silhouette images are captured and unified. A new objects silhouette database is built to provide abundant samples to train the subspace feature. This database is more convincing than the previous ones. A more effective dimension reduction method based on graph embedding is used to obtain the projection eigenvector. In our experiments, we show the effective performance of our method in addressing the moving objects recognition problem and its superiority compared with the previous methods.展开更多
