A personal computer based ASG module has been de veloped for the simulations in parallel with the analog power system simulator i n the Research Laboratory of the Kyushu Electric Power Co. The three phase ins t antaneous value based ASG model has been developed in the Matlab/Simulink envir onment for its detailed and real time simulations, which have been performed on a digital signal processor (DSP) board with AD and DA conversion interfaces inst alled in a personal computer (PC). Simulational results indicate the hig hly improved overall stability of the multi machine power system after installa ting the ASG.展开更多

The proposed ROV's GUI platform allows the controller such as fuzzy-logic control systems design to be compared with other controllers such as proportional-integral-derivative (PID) and sliding-mode controller (SMC) systematically and interactively. External disturbance such as sea current can he added to improve the modelling in actual underwater environment. The simulated results showed the position responses of the fuzzy-logic control exhibit reasonable performance under the sea current disturbance.展开更多

This paper describes the tropical variability simulated by the Max Planck Institute (MPI) forr meteorology coupled atmosphere-ocean general circulation model (CGCM). A control simulation with pre-industrial greenhouse gases is analyzed, and the simulation of key oceanic features, such as SST, is compared with observa- tions. Results from the 400-yr control simulation show that the model's ENSO variability is quite realistic in terms of structure, strength, and period. Also, two related features (the annual cycle of SST and the-phase locking of ENSO events), which are significant in determining the model's performance of realistic ENSO prediction, are further validated to be well reproduced by the MPI cli mate model, which is an atmospheric model ECHAM5 (which fuses the EC tbr European Center and HAM for Hamburg) coupled to an MPI ocean model (MPI-OM), ECHAMS/MPI-OM.展开更多

A power interface to the electronic load and a digital section are provided. The fuel cell steady-state, dynamic and thermal behaviour is modeled by the digital controller. The emulator architecture is deeply analyzed and remarks on hardware implementation algorithms are provided for further applications. The system is tested on a 10 W Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell and the high accuracy of the proposed emulator is shown by the comparison between experimental and simulation results.展开更多
