This study focuses on the factors that may affect the feasibility of performing elliptical anisotropy analysis on azimuthal PP and PS-wave data in HTI media, with the aim of using the modeling results as guidance in r...This study focuses on the factors that may affect the feasibility of performing elliptical anisotropy analysis on azimuthal PP and PS-wave data in HTI media, with the aim of using the modeling results as guidance in real seismic data application. Our results reveal that there is an offset limitation for both PP- and PS-waves in elliptical anisotropy fitting, and that PS-waves show a wider applicable offset range and larger observable azimuthal anisotropy than PP-waves. The major axis of the elliptical fit to the amplitudes of the R-component is perpendicular to the fracture strike, which is opposite to that in PP-wave analysis. The azimuthal interval travel time of PS-waves shows a nearly elliptical distribution and the major axis of the fit ellipse is perpendicular to the fracture strike, which is same as that in PP-wave analysis. For data within the applicable offset range, the anisotropic magnitude obtained from amplitude and travel time attributes of PP- and PS-waves exhibits a dependence on fracture density, and the major to minor axis ratio of the fit ellipse may be used to infer the relative distribution of fracture densities.展开更多

The SP formation was reported solely between two adjacent thymidine residues. It remains unclear in pervious experimental observations why there is an absence of the cytosine-derived SP-like photoprod- uct formation at the cytosine containing DNA strand, although the cytosine residue holds great similarity to thymine in terms of molecular structure. From a theoretical perspec- tive, we have explored this issue in this work by means of density functional theory at the B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) //B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) level for the DNA dinucleotide fragment, cy- tosine phosphate thymine (CpT). Key factors blocking the formation of the SP-like product between two adjacent cytosine and thymidine residues are revealed. Instead of undergoing photochemical SP reaction, a photophysical deactivation pathway back to the ground state turns out to be favorable for the CpT dinucleotide fragment.展开更多
Here we introduce generalized momentum and coordinate to transform seismic wave displacement equations into Hamiltonian system.We define the Lie operators associated with kinetic and potential energy,and construct a n...Here we introduce generalized momentum and coordinate to transform seismic wave displacement equations into Hamiltonian system.We define the Lie operators associated with kinetic and potential energy,and construct a new kind of second order symplectic scheme,which is extremely suitable for high efficient and long-term seismic wave simulations.Three sets of optimal coefficients are obtained based on the principle of minimum truncation error.We investigate the stability conditions for elastic wave simulation in homogeneous media.These newly developed symplectic schemes are compared with common symplectic schemes to verify the high precision and efficiency in theory and numerical experiments.One of the schemes presented here is compared with the classical Newmark algorithm and third order symplectic scheme to test the long-term computational ability.The scheme gets the same synthetic surface seismic records and single channel record as third order symplectic scheme in the seismic modeling in the heterogeneous model.展开更多

In this work, thermodynamic properties of deuterium-tritium mixture in a wide range of temperatures and pressures have been predicted. Buckingham exp-6 potential has been utilized in calculations, based on statistical perturbation theory. The effects of various values of density, temperature and isotopic concentrations on pressure have been studied. Eventually, we have found out symmetrical effects of tritium concentration in deuterium-tritium mixtures.展开更多
