A system of number recognition with a graphic user interface (GUI) is implemented on the embedded development platform by using the fuzzy pattern recognition method. An application interface (API) of uC/ OS-Ⅱ is used to implement the features of multi-task concurrency and the communications among tasks. Handwriting function is implemented by the improvement of the interface provided by the platform. Fuzzy pattern recognition technology based on fuzzy theory is used to analyze the input of handwriting. A primary system for testing is implemented. It can receive and analyze user inputs from both keyboard and touch-screen. The experimental results show that the embedded fuzzy recognition system which uses the technology which integrates two ways of fuzzy recognition can retain a high recognition rate and reduce hardware requirements. 展开更多

Many kinds of uncertainties are involved, such as random, fuzzy, grey, unascertained property and so on, in soil erosion process. To exactly predict the non-point source pollution loads, some uncertainties should be taken into consideration. Aiming at the deficiency of present blind number theory being helpless for fuzziness, a novel blind number, i.e. extended-blind number, was introduced by substituting a set of triangular fuzzy numbers (TFNs), expressed as a-cuts, for interval values in present blind number, and the expected value of extended-blind number was also brought forward by referring to the current blind number theory. On the basis of denoting the parameters of Uni- versal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) as extended-blind parameters, a novel USLE model was established for quantitatively evaluating soil erosion loss and non-point source pollution loads. As a case, the uncertain USLE was employed for predicting the soil erosion loss and non-point source pollution loads of absorbed nitrogen and phosphorus in a dis- trict in the Hangbu-Fengle River basin, in the upstream of Chaohu Lake watershed. The results show that it is feasible in theory to extend blind number into fuzzy environment and reliable on conclusion to apply extended-blind number theory for predicting non-point source pollution loads. 展开更多

The dynamical behavior of the system is analyzed. The system is customized by considering the disease trans- mission rate and treatment control as fuzzy numbers and then fuzzy expected value of the infected individuals is determined. Alvin Plantinga's Evolutionary Argument against Naturalism (hereafter "EAAN") is an argument intended to prove that atheism is not highly probably true in the Darwinian framework. Many critics believe that this argument Cannot work. I am one of them; but I have a different perspective. In my view, although EAAN was originally elaborated for defending theism, the failure of EAAN itself will not consequently undermine theism (as a religious position), but will definitely undermine reliabilism (as an epistemological position). My points include: (1) in Plantinga's epistemological reliabilist narrative, it is quite hard to clarify the meaning of the term "reliability" (as a key word of his whole narrative), and it is the ambiguity of this term that makes some steps in Plantinga's argument more confusing than it ought to be; (2) conversely, if he wiped out this terminological ambiguity, the whole EAANnarrative based on "reliability" would have to be given up, and this cost may be too high for any EAANadherent to pay. 展开更多
