Within the framework of mean-held theory we investigate the behavior of the ferroelectric thin film. Our results show that the influence of the depolarization field is to flatten the spontaneous polarization profile and make the films more homogeneous, which is consistent with Ginzburg Landau theory. This fact shows that this model can be taken as an effective model to deal with the ferroelectric film and can be further extended to refer to quantum effect. The competition between quantum effect and depolarization field induces some interesting phenomena on ferroelectric thin films.展开更多

Data were collected from one experimental group consisting of 210 small pig holder farms and one control group of 70 farms. All of 280 litters and sows were analyzed and the techniques of early vaccination at 60-80 d of pregnant (time 1) were applied and repeated after 10 d with E. coli vaccine to produce antibodies through milk. The percentage of piglets with diarrhea caused by E. coli significantly decreased from 75.7% to 18.9%. Injection of E. coli vaccine for the pregnant sows created antibodies for young piglets through colostrums. The treatment of E. coli cost 45,420 Vietnam Dong (VND) per litter in the experimental group and that was 156,000 VND/litter in the control group. Use of betel-bokashi (bio-product as plant antibiotics and Lactobacillus) to treat piglet diarrhea was proved safe and effective. Litter size and average weight at birth and weaning were improved significantly (P 〈 0.05). The average weaned weight of piglets and sows were 11.2 kg and 118.6 kg in the experimental group, compared to 9.4 kg and 89.9 kg in the control group, respectively. Piglets in the experimental group had good health, no diarrhea and a shorter weaning time (2 d) and mating interval 2.22 days earlier than those in the control group. The average profit of 210 households was significantly higher in the experiment group: feed-cost was much lower than that in the control group. Small-holder farms implementing the experiments of applying the techniques received more financial profit, which was 1,502,000 VND per year per sow, while those who did not apply the techniques gained only 223,000 VND per year per sow.展开更多

In each mode the universal method to select proper resistivity of the flexes was induced respectively to insure that the current in local group of flexes was equal. Furthermore, a 350 kA aluminum reduction cell based electric field model was developed by finite element method to evaluate the effect of the method. Suggestions on selection of three modes were also put forward. The results show that the methods of resistance optimization can reduce the current variation about 180 A compared with that in original case.展开更多

A tetrad with two functions to be determined is applied to the field equation of the teleparallel theory of gravity via a coordinate transformation. The vector, the axial-vector and the tensor parts of the torsion tensor are obtained. We found that the vector parts are in the radial and Ф-directions. The axial-vector torsion is along r-direction while its other components along θ and oh-directions vanish everywhere. The vector connected with Dirac spin has been evaluated as well.展开更多

Results showed that magnetic field 300 gaos had higher ability to increase bacterial and yeasts growth by 400-600% in 18 h and reduced COD, TOC, TN and TP by 88, 85, 90 and 98.5% in same period treatment. While, the intensity of magnetic field 200 and 400 gaos have no effect on microorganisms growth and reducing organic pollutants. This study is first record for showing and explaining the positive effective of magnetic field on microorganisms growth.展开更多

PRDC is caused by a combination of viral and bacterial agents, such as porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), swine influenza virus (SIV), Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (Myh), Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae (APP), Pasteurella multocida and Porcine circovirus 2 (PCV2). To characterize the specific role of swine influenza virus in PRDC presentation in Colombia, 11 farms from three major production regions in Colombia were examined in this study. Nasal swabs, bronchial lavage and lung tissue samples were obtained from animals displaying symptoms compatible with SIV. Isolation of SIV was performed in 9-day embryonated chicken eggs or Madin-Darby Canine Kidney (MDCK) cells. Positive isolates, identified via the hemagglutination inhibition test, were further analyzed using PCR. Overall, 7 of the 11 farms were positive for SIV. Notably, sequencing of the gene encoding the hemagglutinin (HA) protein led to grouping of strains into circulating viruses identified during the human outbreak of 2009, classified as pandemic H1N1-2009. Serum samples from 198 gilts and multiparous sows between 2008 and 2009 were obtained to determine antibody presence of APP, Myh, PCV2 and PRRSV in both SIV-H1Nlp-negative and -positive farms, but higher levels were recorded for SIV- HI Nlp-positive farms. Odds ratio (OR) and P values revealed statistically significant differences (p〈0.05) in PRDC presentation in gilts and multiparous sows of farms positive for SIV-HINlp. Our findings indicate that positive farms have increased risk of PRDC presentation, in particular, PCV2, APP and Myh.展开更多
