The incidence of shivering in groups 46.48%, 31.18%, 60.83% (P = 〈0.01). Bradycardia is a group (A) 3.3%, the group (B) is 0.0%. Significant differences in other variables (myoclonic seizures and rash) no significant (P = 0.353). Dezocine and Tropisetron alone can cure shivering effectively for cesarean section after spinal anesthesia.展开更多
The effect of maternal antibodies on the pathogenesis of avian reovirus (ARV) was studied in commercial and specific pathogen free broilers (SPF) using a real-time reverse transcriptase (RT)-polymerase chain rea...The effect of maternal antibodies on the pathogenesis of avian reovirus (ARV) was studied in commercial and specific pathogen free broilers (SPF) using a real-time reverse transcriptase (RT)-polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay, along with the incidence and severity of morbidity, mortality, and gross lesions. ARV RNA was detected in cloacal swabs in both bird groups from the first day throughout the 21 days experiment. Commercial broiler chickens, which had high maternal antibodies against ARV, showed minimum clinical signs, gross lesions, and lower numbers of birds with viral RNA excretion, whereas specific pathogen free (SPF) broiler chickens, which did not have antibody against ARVs, had 30% mortality, more severe signs, and higher numbers of birds excreting viral RNA. The highest peak of SPF birds excreting viral RNA occurred during the time of maximum mortality. The protective effect of maternal antibody on ARV pathogenesis in broiler chickens correlated with the detection of ARV RNA using the real-time RT-PCR.展开更多
In contrast to the toxic inorganic forms of selenium to life at very low concentrations, the organic-selenium compounds are of considerable interest and several of them play essential roles in cell biochemistry and nu...In contrast to the toxic inorganic forms of selenium to life at very low concentrations, the organic-selenium compounds are of considerable interest and several of them play essential roles in cell biochemistry and nutritional science. Se-yeast (Selenium-enriched yeast) is a common form of selenium used to supplement dietary intake of this important trace mineral. In the present study, we tried to prepare an organic selenocystine using locally isolated bread yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae). A novel locally prepared date extract media enriched by addition of 0.2% KH2PO4 (potassium phosphate), 0.6% ammonium sulfate was adopted as alternative culture media. Differences concentrations of selenium salt (30, 60, 120 and 240 lag/mL) were added to the yeast culture media. While the best concentration of selenium added was 30Bg/mL, it achieved optimal conditions for the growth of yeast and the production of red yeast growth identical to the standard. The products (organic selenocystine) were analyzed by HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) and AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer) comparing with authentic standard obtained from Sigma. Results confirmed the formation of similar selenocystine products.展开更多
The reproductive system of human female exhibits a much faster rate of aging than other body systems.Ovarian aging is thought to be dominated by a gradual decreasing numbers of follicles,coinciding with diminished qua...The reproductive system of human female exhibits a much faster rate of aging than other body systems.Ovarian aging is thought to be dominated by a gradual decreasing numbers of follicles,coinciding with diminished quality of oocytes.Menopause is the final step in the process of ovarian aging.This review focuses on the mechanisms underlying the ovarian aging involving a poor complement of follicles at birth and a high rate of attrition each month,as well as the alternated endocrine factors.We also discuss the possible causative factors that contribute to ovarian aging,e.g.,genetic factors,accumulation of irreparable damage of microenvironment,pathological effect and other factors.The appropriate and reliable methods to assess ovarian aging,such as quantification of follicles,endocrine measurement and genetic testing have also been discussed.Increased knowledge of the ovarian aging mechanisms may improve the prevention of premature ovarian failure.展开更多
