F...The gradient image is always sensitive to noise in image detail enhancement. To overcome this shortage, an improved detail enhancement algorithm based on difference curvature and contrast field is proposed. Firstly, the difference curvature is utilized to determine the amplification coefficient instead of the gradient. This new amplification function of the difference curvature takes more neighboring points into account, it is therefore not sensitive to noise. Secondly, the contrast field is nonlinearly amplified according to the new amplification coefficient. And then, with the enhanced contrast field, we construct the energy functional. Finally, the enhanced image is reconstructed by the variational method. Experimental results of standard testing image and industrial X-ray image show that the proposed algorithm can perform well on increasing contrast and sharpening edges of images while suppressing noise at the same time.展开更多

To maximize the flotation recovery of molybdenum, process mineralogy of raw ore, c...An effective flotation approach is proposed for improving the recovery of molybdenite fines from a finely-disseminated molybdenum ore. To maximize the flotation recovery of molybdenum, process mineralogy of raw ore, contrast tests, optimization of operation conditions and particle size analysis were systematically investigated. Process mineralogy suggests that in the raw ore, 61.63% of molybdenite particles distribute in the 〈20 pm size fraction, and intergrow with muscovite and pyrite as the contained and disseminated type. Contrast tests indicate that conventional flotation responds to poor collection efficiency for particles less than 25 pm. Oil agglomerate flotation (OAF) process demonstrates an obvious superiority in improving the flotation recovery of molybdenite fines. Furthermore, the flotation results of OAF process reveal that the dosage of transformer oil plays a critical role on the average size of collected mineral particles (d(0), agglomerates (d^0) and the molybdenum recovery. In addition, industrial tests illustrate that compared with the Mo-S bulk flotation approach, OAF process not only increases Mo recovery and grade of molybdenum concentrate by 22.75% and 17.47% respectively, but also achieves a sulfur concentrate with a superior grade of 38.92%.展开更多

First, instead of the gamm...Due to the complexity of the composite fading channel, a new simplified channel model is proposed to analyze the bit error ratio(BER) performance of the distributed antenna system (DAS). First, instead of the gamma-log-normal distribution, the log-normal distribution is applied to describe the output signal to noise ratio(SNR) after maximal ratio combining (MRC) at the receiver. Then, assuming that the channel state information(CSI) is available to the transmitter, by employing the Gauss-Hermite integral, an approximate analytical expression of the BER is derived for the downlink of the DAS with antenna selective transmission and MRC. Finally, the results of a Monte Carlo simulation show that the analytical results match the simulation results. Therefore, it can be concluded that the proposed approximate channel model is effective and accurate, and the derived analytical expression can be used to evaluate the real system performance.展开更多

Within the considered parameter space, we find the following conclusions (a) A hght charged-Higgs boson with a mass about 200 GeV is clearly excluded by the date of B→K^*у decay, and this lower limit is comparable with that from the inclusive B→X8*у decay; (b) The theoretical predictions for CP asymmetry of B→K^*у in the T2HDM is always less than 1% in size; and (c) The isospin symmetry breaking for B→K^*у decay in the SM and T2HDM considered here is around 6% in size and well consistent with the data and the general expectations.展开更多

Based on energy and mass conservation in the air, ...Internally-cooled dehumidifiers are efficient liquid desiccant dehumidifiers, whose performance is mainly determined by the device structure and operating conditions. Based on energy and mass conservation in the air, solution, and cooling water in the device, mathematical models are built and their theoretical performance is simulated and analyzed in this paper. A novel measure of dehumidification efficiency is introduced to evaluate the performance of internally-cooled dehumidifiers, in which the equilibrium humidity ratio of the inlet solution is calculated according to the minimum temperature in the inlet solution and the cooling water. Numerical simulations show that a counter flow between air and solution is always the most efficient, followed by cross flow, and parallel flow is the least efficient. Cooling water with the same flow direction as the solution performs better than that with a counter flow, with approximately a 5% improvement in efficiency. Compared with Ca Cl2, the dehumidification efficiency of a Li Cl solution is greater by 60%, while its exergy efficiency is less by 16%. Dehumidification efficiency can be improved with the number of air-solution heat transfer units(NTUa-s) increasing, and reduced with the air mass flow rate raised. With NTUa-s increasing, exergy efficiency can be improved, and an increase in mass flow rate of cooling water results in a decrease of efficiency. Higher solution concentration and lower inlet temperature of solution and air can achieve both higher dehumidification efficiency and exergy efficiency.展开更多

Methods: During January 2005-December 2008, 34 cases of frontal lobe contusion received ...Objective: To study the effect and indications ofintracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring for frontal lobe contusion patients. Methods: During January 2005-December 2008, 34 cases of frontal lobe contusion received ICP monitoring in our department (monitoring group). Different treatment protocols were adopted according to the results of ICP. Mean-while 46 cases of same type of head-injured patients who did not undergo ICP monitoring served as control group. Results: We found that ICP elevated dramatically within 24 hours after head injury if the contusions were located in frontal longitudinal dehiscence, bilateral undersurface of frontal lobe or dispersed in bilateral lobe. After half a year follow-up and on the basis of Glasgow Coma Scale assessment, the monitoring group showed better outcome than the control group with good recovery in 24 cases (70.6%), moderate disability in 7 cases (20.6%), severe disability in 2 (5.88%) and death in 1 (2.94%). The outcome of control group displayed good condition in 25 cases (54.3%), moderate disabilities in 8 (17.4%), severe disability in 7 (15.2%), and death in 6 (13.0%). Conclusions: Frontal lobe contusions are vulnerable and complex head injuries, especially when the contusions are located in frontal longitudinal dehiscence, bilateral undersurface of frontal lobe or diffused in bilateral lobes. These patients should undergo ICP monitoring regardless of their consciousness status. IflCP elevates over 25 mm Hg, the craniotomy is mandatory and will markedly reduce the mortality and disability of these patients.展开更多
Objective:To observe the curative effect of Zishengukang Pill(滋肾骨康丸) on delayed union of fracture.Methods:Sixty-four patients with delayed union of fracture were randomly divided into a control group of 32 cases ...Objective:To observe the curative effect of Zishengukang Pill(滋肾骨康丸) on delayed union of fracture.Methods:Sixty-four patients with delayed union of fracture were randomly divided into a control group of 32 cases treated with Western medicine and a treatment group of 32 cases treated with Western medicine and Zishengukang Pill.After 3 courses of treatment with 30 days as a course,the curative effects in the two groups were evaluated and their clinical symptoms,union rate and union time of fracture were compared.Results:The treatment resulted in cure in 25 cases,improvement in 6 cases and ineffectiveness in 1 case with the effective rate at 96.8% in the treatment group,higher than 81.3% in the control group(P<0.05).The union rate of fracture in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(34.3% vs.12.5%,P<0.05).The union time of fracture in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group((4.0±1.7) months vs.(5.0±1.4) months,P<0.05).Conclusion:Zishengukang Pill with obvious curative effect in the treatment of delayed union of fracture is worth popularizing.展开更多

Compared with previous schemes, our scheme has high efficiency since less quantum resource is required, some additional unitary operations and measurements are unnecessary.
