Meanwhile, the cycle power of refrigerant was supplied by wick of sintered copper powder on internal surface of phase change heat sink. Operational characteristics were tested under different heat loads and refrigerants. The experimental results show that phase change heat sink is provided with a good heat transfer capability and the temperature of phase change heat sink reaches 86.8 ℃ under input power of 10 W LED at ambient temperature of 20 ℃.展开更多

The critical point of capillary phase-transition was extrapolated by the critical power law and the law of rectilinear diameter from the capillary phase-transition data in the near critical region. The effects of temperature and fluid density on the parallel self-diffusion coefficients of ethylene molecules confined in the slit carbon pores were examined. The results showed that the parallel selfdiffusion coefficients in the capillary phase transition area strongly depended on the fluids local densities in the slit carbon pores.展开更多

At first, to simulate ambient condition was designed thermostatic chamber where was monitoring temperature course on main parts of cooling device (energy converter, air cooler and heat pipes) at various position of cooling device. It was found, if the cooling device is in tilt position the cooling performance is better. But if the tilt angel of gravity assisted heat pipe is higher the heat transfer is lower. From reason improve heat transfer cooling device at tilt angle are manufactured heat pipes with the sintered, mesh screen and grooved capillary structures and tested their thermal performance at vertical and tilt angel 45~ position by calorimetric method. Article describes manufacturing process and thermal performance measuring method of wick heat pipes. This experiment testify that the wick heat pipe is able operate at tilt angle position than gravity assisted heat pipe and application of wick heat pipes into cooling device will improve his cooling performance.展开更多

From the basic equations for motion and heat transfer at the interface of the film, its stability is theoretically studied. With evaluation of the effects and relative magnitudes of various driving forces and with the use of long-wave theory in addition to linear stability analysis, the controlling equations are simplified and an evolution equation for the film’s thickness is obtained. Detailed analysis on the evolution equation shows that instability occurs first in the meniscus region and the instability condition varies with boundary conditions, geometrical scales and thermal properties. The numerical results ape well with earlier ones with some favorable extensions and improvements.展开更多
