Ethnomedicine: fading or flowering? ——Heritage and development of Dai Medicine

Ethnomedicine is an important component of ethnic culture, and a part of traditional medicine in China. We undertook great considerations and in-depth investigations of Dai Medicine, as well as analyses of its basic concepts, current situations, and interrelations with Traditional Chinese Medicine. The issues regarding Dai Medicine's heritage and development are also discussed.

The influence of ancient poetry on Chinese traditional culture

China traditional culture, our culture, the root of all the children of the Yellow Emperor. Ancient poetry, the essence of traditional Chinese culture, but also the world’s cultural and artistic treasure house of a bright pearl. Chinese culture has a long history, broad and profound, poetry is always the highbrow type of aesthetic elegant, attracted many devout followers, especially those in the thoughts and feelings, wisdom and creativity in a famous through the ages, although after thousands of years of vicissitudes of life still shine, while dancing alone in the modern civilization and tired of noisy. Never forgotten.

Nomenclature for lunar features at the Chang＇e-3 landing site

Nomenclatures for lunar features always accompany the progresses of human lunar exploration,which has an important dual meaning in culture and science. The naming of lunar features not only can commemorate the outstanding contributions of academics,masters in various fields, and popularize the traditional cultures of ethnic groups all over the world, but also have a critical function of providing accurate indicative information on features with special morphology, origin, nature and scientific value. However, nomenclature for features at the Chang'e-3 landing site, which has a more arbitrary form without many constrains posed by a uniformed system, is unlike the features for other morphological units.This paper originated from the actual needs for the description of scientific exploration activities, interpretation of scientific research and dissemination of scientific results. Some prominent morphological units with great scientific importance and identification purpose were chosen from the images taken by the terrain camera, panorama cameras and landing camera onboard the Chang'e lander and Yutu rover. A nomenclature system was established under the three enclosures, four quadrants and twenty-eight lunar lodges' system of the Chinese ancient sky division method. Finally, a standard feature names set waspublished after some necessary approval procedures by the International Astronomical Union.

Translation of Chinese Opera Proverbs From the Perspective of Intertexuality Theory

Due to China＇s ever-expanding opening-up, sustained rapid economic growth, and its rising international status, the sharp rise in demand of national consciousness has outstripped the original operation model. Chinese renaissance can not only be understood as a catalyst for globalization, but it does also enlarge the global village by opening new economic, political, diplomatic, intellectual, and artistic horizons. Our government pays more attention to publicize and preserve traditional culture. Therefore, it becomes an urgent task about how to do research and mining, preserve fine traditional Chinese culture, and enhance the international cultural communication. Rhymed opera proverb as an important part of Chinese opera culture mirrors the ideology and culture in China. The opera proverb is responsible for both inheriting the tradition and developing the ancient art. The biggest challenge is translation which is carrier of culture. Through good translation, we will gain a better understanding of the quintessence of our tradition and of the living embodiment of China and Chinese culture. This paper is intended to study opera proverb translation from the viewpoint of ＂intertextuality＂. The author believes that translation is a type of transforming activity intertextualized with language, text, and culture. Intertextuality theory is applied to investigate the process of translation. Intertextuality will be of great help to the translation of opera proverbs, which means not only to explore and transfer the literal meaning of the source text, but also to interpret and expound the cultural meaning. Only if a translation is reliable and makes sense of traditional culture can our culture be known and appreciated by the world.

Empirical Study on the Chinese Culture Transmission and Effects

In the new historical period, China needs to show the nation＇s values and national spirit. With the advent of the era of globalization, the strength of a country is not only reflected in the economy, cultural factors will play an increasingly important role in the social development process in 2 lth century. The impact of cultural soft power and communication is essential for a country to power. In the process of going to the world, and in line with the international community, the Chinese culture will inevitably have a dialogue with the West. China will catch up with the world＇s advanced level. We must pay attention to enhance the competitiveness of culture and penetration. The paper analyzes the historical and present Chinese culture oversea transmission and the effects of the transmissions. The paper has three parts---the first part is the history of Chinese culture transmission; the second part is the present Chinese transmission; and the third part is the effects of Chinese culture transmission.

Research on the Development Dilemma and Response Strategy of Contemporary Chinese Classical Dance

Chinese classical dance contains a profound connotation of Chinese traditional culture, with distinctive forms of performance and aesthetic characteristics. In the world of multi-cultttral communion, the development of Chinese classical dance needs to be inherited on the basis of traditional culture to inject more innovation, highlight its unique artistic aesthetic value and deep national culture contains. In this paper, the development course, aesthetic characteristics and classical dance form of Chinese classical dance are expounded. From the perspectives of historical cultural inheritance, classical dance culture cultivation and dance culture innovation, the feasibility measures and measures are put forward in order to explore the effective path and methods to developing Chinese classical dance, which gives excellent national dance art inheritance, development and innovation.

On the national culture used in the art of animation

Animation and comics are collectively known as ＂Anime ＂, it set video, audio, printing, advertising, clothing, toys, stationery, network, electronic, and many other arts and entertainment industry together in one, and plays a more important role in today＇ s increasingly rapid economic and social development. Ours is a country of many ethnic minorities, ethnic culture has a long history, and is erudite and colorful. If our animation art want to be niche in the world art of the forest, it is necessary to strengthen the national culture used in the creation. Animation art is inexhaustible creative theme of national culture. Once the elements of Chinese culture organically integrate into the anime, animation art will be able to make shine, so creating animation master piece with a unique and distinctive artistic style, and exuding boundless artistic charm. Obviously, Chinese national culture is inseparable elements of the creation of animation art. However, in recent years, it is rarely seen the use of traditional Chinese culture in China＇ s animation work. How Chinese elements go into anime and raising the standard of Chinese animation will work, and making our cotmtry the powerhouse into the world of animation as soon as possible, has very important significance. In this paper, we will explore the current status of Chinese animation, problems and how to apply Chinese elements and other relevant issues and propose a solution.

Effects of Traditional Ecological Knowledge on the Droughtresistant Mechanisms of the Hani Rice Terraces System

The Hani Rice Terraces System is one of the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems（GIAHS） sites which can successfully resist extreme droughts.The reason is not only that the forests and terraces have the important function of water conservation,which provide and conserve adequate water resources for this complex ecosystem,but also that Hani traditional ecological knowledge plays an important role in the drought-resistance process.In this paper,drought-resistant mechanisms of the Hani Rice Terraces System have been analyzed first,then Hani traditional ecological knowledge has been analyzed based on a comprehensive literature review,a questionnaire survey and key informant interviews.The results show that the Hani nationality has developed knowledge of water management techniques,including water conserving construction,water allocation and ditch management.The Hani people are also highly conscious of water resources protection.There is a good deal of forest resource management knowledge and worship of forests,which have effectively helped in protecting the forest ecological system.In the reclamation and maintenance of Hani terraced fields,the Hani people have developed a series of farming systems,which have effectively protected the terrace ecosystem.Through analyzing this knowledge of water management,forest resource management and Hani terraced fields management,our paper confirms the important role that traditional ecological knowledge plays in maintaining stability of the system and realizing the efficient use of water resource.This is not only helpful for preserving cultural heritage,but is vital for protecting the Hani Rice Terraces System as a whole.

秦牧,这位中国当代著名作家、散文家,与画坛中好几位大师都有过颇为密切的关系:李可染、关山月、赖少其……虽然他们之间各自有不同的事业追求,但由于艺术理论的根本道理息息相通,加上秦牧对民族文化传统、特别是书画艺术的深远探究,使他们在相处和交往中相互默契,畅快交流。

Repositioning Ethnicity in the Process of State Building： The Power of Culture and the Poverty of Interpretation

In this article, the author tries to analyze the incongruity between ethnicity and its theorization in China and explore the tension between the mainstream discourse of homogenization-cure-nationalism and the minority linguisticcultural ＂heteroglossia, ＂ as is typified by the conceptual and practical difficulty in translating Minzu[ I ] as well as the political revival and pragmatic use of traditional culture. Drawing on Walker Connor＇s study of the national question in Marxist-Leninist theory and strategy, the author argues that the old formula of ＂national in form, socialist in content,＂ as has been applied in China, lacks a Thirdness-based ＂indexical embodiment＂ dimension, a defect that creates a situation ＂national in form, ethnic in content,＂ and leads to political ambiguities and identity conflicts.
