The rational calculation formula of pressure partial derivation is also given out. By using the chemical kinetics knowledge, problems of multi-component and finite rate chemical reaction contained in combustion gas of the rocket flow field are discussed. The method for solving the mass source term of chemical reaction is clarified. Taking 9 reaction equations with 12 components as an example and utilizing the established calculation program, the free jetting flow field of the rocket is simulated. Numerical results show the correctness of the numerical scheme.展开更多

To optimize the design of the separator, the relationship between the performance and structural parameters of separators is studied. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method is employed to simulate the flow fields and calculate the pressure drop and separation efficiency of air-liquid spiral separators with different structural parameters. The RSM (Reynolds stress model)turbulence model is used to analyze the highly swirling flow fields while the stochastic trajectory model is used to simulate the traces of liquid droplets in the flow field. A simplified calculation formula of pressure drop in spiral structures is obtained by modifying Darcy's equation and verified by experiment.展开更多

In this approach, the fractional derivative is described in the Caputo sense. Four numeric experiments have been carried out to confirm the validity and the efficiency of the method. It is found that the exact or a closed approximate analytical solution of a fractional nonlinear differential equations arising in allied science and engineering can be obtained easily. Moreover, due to its small size of calculation contrary to the other analytical approaches while dealing with a complex and tedious physical problems arising in various branches of natural sciences and engineering, it is very easy to implement.展开更多

In this study, the change of free surface vor- tex and air absorption in a pump intake has been investigated by the Volume of Fraction (VOF) method with steady multiphase flow model in order to represent the behavior of the free surface vortex exactly. The homoge- neous free surface model is used to apply interactions of air and water. The results show that air intake by the free surface vortex motion can be visualized using the iso-surface of air volume fraction. The vortices make an air column from the free surface to the pump intake. Also, it was found that the flee surface vortex can be controlled by installing curtain walls.展开更多
